Any WiFi Packet Sniffers that work with Trinity - P3600 General

Anyone know of a Packet Sniffer that works with the wifi chip in the Trinity?
Tried, AirScanner, VXSniffer ect but none of them seem to work for me.

Watchguards Firewall

Has anyone managed to connect via VPN through a Watchguard firewall??
Hello,
I've never specfically used the Universal through the Watchguard firewall, but we have loads of himalayas and alpines all working fine.
If its a problem specific to the Universal you've got I could try it for you, but I can't imagine there being any problems
Cheers

Packet Sniffer for 3G/HSDPA - Hermes

I've been searching for over an hour with no luck.
Is there a sniffer for WM that will allow you to capture packets from the 3G interface?
I see that there are heaps of sniffers out there for wifi, and I have been using Etherel on my network to try to sort out some VoIP issues.
I want to see if what I see when I sniff the wifi packets would be the same over 3G. If I have the same problems then it might be the Internet Calling modules in WM6 and nothing to do with the network.
Thanks,
Baggy
I´m also searching for a a network logger for 2G/3G.
Me too...
think the problem is that with wifi the pda have alot of control
but with phone related things it's don in a different module
and i dont think the pda where software run wild
have much access under the skirt of the cellphone part
could be that it's in large a blackbox which handle much of the osi layer
Thks Rudegar...
... and what a PPC Explorer debugger?, exists?
Best Regards.

Internet Connection Sharing over Wifi?

Is anyone aware of a method to have Internet Connection Sharing use the Wifi connection (ad-hoc) instead of BT PAN or USB?
It seems like all the necessary components (DHCP, etc) are already there...
I guess I'll give it a go myself.

Not by default. It'd, however, be indeed great if you could come up with something like that.
do we know something new about this.
A really dream ICS would be an ICS with Wifi (Router) option.
SOLVED!
I got ICS working over WIFI!!
The Hermes (and presumably any other WM6 phone with ICS) can now function as an 802.11b/g access point.
It's a bit hack-ish right now, so I'll post a cab or application shortly.

Which APP for Internet Sharing over WiFi?

Hello,
Iam using the DonSalari TF3D2 4.7 ROM together with Radio 1.17.25.09
I tried to use this App for Wifi Sharing: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=538874&highlight=sharing
Actually I can connect to the WiFi but I have no Internet Connection with this.
How can I solve the problem?
Is there a better utility for Sharing Internet over WiFi?
Regards,

I'm also very interesting in that particular case. Because, my Diamond isn't recognized when I plug it on a PC (mine or work, with different cable and with different OS)
My research found those things:
http://www.smartphonemag.com/cms/blog/9/the-multiplatform-bible-using-your-handset-a-modem
- WalkingHotSpot (Not free)
- WMWifiRouter (Not free) but I tried and say it works well...but trial expired
- ICS Control (Free) but seems a little bit harder to setup, I have to look in details...
Hope this will help

no wifi anymore after access point switched to 802.11g only

Hi,
My blackstone works flawlessly with wireless wherever I go. However, at my workplace it doesn't connect anymore after all access points were switched from 802.11b/g to 802.11g only. (I've tried the same at my home router/access point and there it works fine). I've tried several things like forgetting the wifi settings, soft reset, hard reset, even tried a couple of ROMs and radios but nothing helps to get it connected to my work wifi. There's even two variants: an encrypted and an unencrypted version. Both used to work but don't anymore. I can see the SSID's but I cannot connect. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Except on your workplace?
You should talk with your IT guys (or gurlz)...
If it's working elsewhere with g, then it's not hardware.
I have talked to the IT dept, and they can't fix it. It seems to be an incompatibility between the blackstone and the type of access points here, when switched to 802.11g only. The workaround for now is to use another SSID that does support 802.11b+g, to which the blackstone connects with a 802.11g connection... weird!
If anyone has come across similar issues and has a clue: I'd really like to know!
cheers
