Great !! Plz let us know.....
Are you using the 1010 (QTEK) or the 2020 (Imate) ?
Also what is your ver of ROM & Radio ?

PLEASE let us know this precious information as to how to get MMS working in the Qtek 1010
here is the way
first to answer your questions am using Qtek 1010 & MW2003 & Radio 3.25 (don't know if it makes a differance) please let me know
what you need to do, i have 3 file that is zipped into 1 file attached below,
1. Unfortunatly you have to delete all you connection setting, every thing, the ones under work, the ones under home (all), but don't worry because these files contains all of them gprs, mms, internet
2. install the files in the same sequence they are in from 1 to 3
3. now soft reset your phone. (might take up to 5 minutes to go into windows the first time)
4. put the setting exactly like the attached picture 2
5. Click on the servers TAB & click on etisalat & fill as exactly as shown in pic 3
6. compose a new MMS & send it to someone who does have MMS & there you go, ask him to send it back to you, & its working & doesn't need any activation or anything but you might notice that the signal line is still working after recieving the MMS picture, don't worry its not charging you & you can still recieve calls but if it bugs you keep holding the (close)(red) buuton on the phone to stop it, please send me your results am intrested in the outcome

Hi mate, I 'm so interested to try this s/w, but have few questions:
1. Does it work for other countries providing you know the right setup ?
2. I 'm using EZWAP 2.5 for MMS, how do you compare the 2 products ?
3. Regarding the above quote, do you mean it's predefined to work for only Etesilat network ?
Thx in advance

1. first yes it would work for any other country if you have the right setup, i also happen to have the setting for egypt both operators anyways
2. i used this stupid program but its over compplicated since you have to fill millions of setting everywhere & all what we need is to send & recieve mms easly, no doubt if you are using ezwap & its working fine just keep it its good for advanced setting but to keep it nice & short this software is much easier than ezwap
3. for the 3rd question files #2 containes Etisalat setting so for egypt i have to give you a differant File#2 which is attached for both operators (ofcourse its the exact setting they use no invention was made from my side) & the rest would be the same, ofcourse except whats in the 2nd picture as the http page & the IP also happens to be Etisalat
Regards
Rabia
Thx a million ... I 'll give it a try so soon and I 'll give my feed back so other people here may comment as well.
very good, is anybody intreseted from other countries i have kuwait, bahrain, jordan & KSA but all needs to be tested so any volenters?
Hi again,
I gave it a try ... it works like a charm!!! ... much better than EZWAP!
I just tested it with 2 MMS and its performance is pretty good. One comment on the settings .cab for Egypt, the mobile dialing pattern is some how corrupted ... it's full of quotes and 9s ... I just had to over write it myself ... other than this it's very good.
The Album application seems took the handling of all multimedia files ... I don't mind as it looks very good as well ... it's the first s/w on my device to play midi files that good!!!.
I will continue trying and keep you updated.
Thx a lot mate
perfect Biso007 i like what am hearing, as i thought some glitches in Egypt but hay i never been there  so its good it ran with little problems, i would like other people from other countries to check it
PS anybody whos trying it, you would find a camera SW in your programes don't mind it but DON'T remover it since it makes the album works which is required for the SW to be working, if it bugs you just remove the icon manualy like i did
R
R
Hi again,
Yes, I was about to remove the camera.exe from \windows but thought it might affect the application ... it takes 0.5 MB :?
One more comment, but I don't know if it's only my device ... if you have your ActiveSync connected to a remote Exchange server (Outlook database) through GPRS ... it will no longer connect ... the MMS s/w messed up the whole connectivity settings ... it takes the one to know exactly how to set everything back manually ... it's a pain but finally worked tho 8)
This s/w is prefectly simple and powerful in the same time ... will keep trying more features.
keep it up man, i wish we have more people of your kind, we would had all our problems solved
another comment, but not sure it's the s/w or the MMS server ... i sent a simple MMS message to my wife's phone (Nokia 7260) ... instead of receiving MMS notification , normal SMS was received with instructions for how to access the message from the web as if it was sent to e-mail or non-MMS phone.
i think it's the s/w coz when i use EZWAP a normal MMS notification is received. However, i'll try it with different handsets. my previous tests were to my own phone so i know it's working fine for PPCs.
note: i renamed the camera.exe file and seems have no impact on album s/w ... maybe coz my xda doesn't have a camera ?
the today plug-in and the sending/receiving icon on the windows bar are very nice features.
any other notices ?

Sweden Telisonera
Hi
Anybody got this to work with teliasonera.
I got it to work that it connects to the GPRS server, but the mms messege never gets sent. Is there a error log for the mms composer anywhere?
I don't get any errors at all, it just wont send it. I can't recieve either

you need the setting of your country to be replaced with these setting, they are country spesific, try to obtain the setting & i will help you getting it installed
as for mr Biso it was nice of you, very systimatic test, thanks alot but my contributions seems that will end to here, i got a 1% death message for a radio upgrade & couldn't get over it, i tried everything in this forum but seems not to be lucky so far

Good luck
well, as the title implies, I have managed to get some of the mms features working on a telus titan phone
NOTE: as of yet I haven't been able to receive picture messages, but I can send them.
here's how I did it:
1. download then install the attached cab
2. under options -> advanced, then click the manual button and enter the following settings:
MMS Gateway: http://216.198.139.113
MMS URL: http://mmsfeplb01.int.eng.telusmobility.com:8088/mms
select which ever network profile you use for internet
and VOILA!!! half of the problem is solved... now if only someone could figure out how to receive them we'd be set, but I suspect that telus employs some means of the message being redireccted to their horrible online app to view the photos... which at present time, isn't displaying photos and they expire without me seeing them... good old telus, giving users the cutting edge while cutting out user support and features.
P.S. not too bad for my second post on these forums eh?
have you tried it using arcsoft mms and the same server settings?

haven't been able to duplicate the results on arcsoft... I'm new to this whole MMS thing, is there anyway to run a trace and see how this program is doing what is does?
Well as you said it does work for sending, the receiving portion however, I don't believe you will be able to do it since TELUS' MMSC server is programmed not to forward MMS' to phones that have a specific user profile such as the P4000, instead is supposed to send you a net alert and have the pictures forwarded to telusmobility.com/snap.
Unless you somehow get someon to modify your user profile in the MMSC provisioning, there should be no carrier settings or registry tweaks that could help you out, unlike other carriers.
However, why don't you just log into telusmobility.com/snap, go to preferences and set it to forward a copy to your e-mail address. I assume you use e-mail on your p4000 and this will achieve relatively the same thing...
While we are at it, although it is much more convenient to naturaly MMS someone with ther telephone number, you could just e-mail them a picture to their phone, thus using your data plan and not having to pay 25 cents per picture message...
mms email address for telus phones:
this should send it straight to a regular phone's wap browser and you just need to get the corresponding email address for Rogers, Bell and Fido

I've recently discovered that the e-mail forwarding function only works when receiving MMS sent from a Telus phone. MMS sent from other networks cannot be decrypted correctly so they're not forwarded to the specified email address.
The "save to album" also doesn't do anything. I've checked my photo album at https://photoalbum.telusmobility.com/index.asp . It looks like the site is still under construction or maybe it's just plain crappy. Nothing was saved there from my photo messages.
All and all, I'm very disappointed in Telus in handling (blocking) MMS. I'm searching for a working SMS2Email (or MMS2Email) services now. This way the person sending you the MMS can send it to your email instead. If anyone knows one that works in Canada, Please let me know. I really need to receive MMS somehow, and not on the crappy Telus Snap site (seriously, are they kidding?!?!?!).
Sorry to bump an old thread
This worked great for sending, but has anybody figured out a way to recieve yet?
I just installed it, used the telus server settings as described, but all mms keep getting rejected by server. I definitely double-checked the addys... anyone else follow these instucs with no joy?

Because Snap doesn't work right. Never has. When the wife and I first got the HTC S720, a Telus tech tried to get her going on Snap... even pics HE sent to it never showed up. With mine, maybe 30% of pictures sent to me ever arrive at Snap, let alone get forwarded on.
Furthermore, viewing in Snap itself has always been an exercise in futility. The password is about 2,000 characters long; the only way to effectively enter it is cut-and-paste. The only way to get it is to have the server email it to you, and the last time I did that (after I flashed my phone and lost the password), the password *never* arrived. I requested it four times, and never got a response.
And IF you do get a long, the pictures you get there are tiny. My wife ended up returning the S720 and getting a KRZR, so she could do MMS properly... she sent me 1.3MP pictures that only ever showed up as QVGA on the Snap site.

I've tried this with Rogers and Fido phones... the recipient gets a text message from my phone's email address, containing a string with the picture's filename, but not the actual picture.
Frankly, Telus's implentation of this is uttery broken and always has been. I've heard a dozen different "explanations" of why MMS won't work on their phones, and every one of them rings as bull$#!t. The most common one for them to give is simply that "no PDA-type phones support it", which I shoot down immediately with the fact that my Rogers Treo does it just fine.
When my wife's contract is up in another 16 months or so, I know she's planning to jump to Rogers so she can get a Blackberry and still do her picture messaging. Telus will lose a 20-year customer if they don't fix this issue; they will have NO chance of keeping her if they don't get MMS working. My contract will be up a year after that, and I won't be far behind her.
Hate to bother, but where is this "options" to put in the information. How do you get to it from the today screen?
Okay, trying this... but I get a "Not enough memory to complete this operation" message when I try to send even the smallest picture. I'm showing 51MB free RAM and 8.8MB free device storage memory...

Look for a new "SMS" icon in your Programs... launch that, click Menu on the right softkey, then Options... go to Advanced tab.
There must be more info required there... maybe the OP could share his settings for Message Center and Email Center numbers?
HOLY CRAP, IT WORKS!!!!
Well, partly... like the OP, I can send, but not receive (yet). The Palm app doesn't want to run on my Omnia (I get the "out of memory" error), but an older Arcsoft install (PPCGeeksSprintMMS) does.
I followed the time-honored hack for that one to enable the server editing (HKLM\Software\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\UI\EnableServerEdit -> change 0 to 1), then plugged the OP's server settings into the config:
MMS -> Menu -> MMS Configuration -> Servers -> tap the server name to edit -> enter full Gateway and Server Address entries listed above, Connect via: The Internet, WAP: WAP 2.0 (Port will change to 80).
Now, Arcsoft, at least this version of it, is pretty clunky and doesn't integrate quite as nicely as the Palm app - the Palm one actually re-retrieved the last couple weeks' worth of incoming SMS messages as well(!!). This one keeps a separate inbox that so far is extraneous.
Update: okay, it worked... like, TWICE. I tried replacing the clunky ancient version of Arcsoft with a newer version and I haven't been able to get it to go since. I've even done a hard-reset and reinstalled it all clean... went through a bout of not being able to remove the WM6_threaded app as well.
If the OP is still reading this... could you maybe post your related registry keys? Thinking there must be some other string that I need, something that's either incorrect or missing... *sigh*
So near, yet so far away...
Just flashed 6.5 on my phone 24 hours ago (thanks to a few of you on here) but can't get MMS to work. As a matter of fact, I don't even see it as an option in any of the menus. Is there anyone out there who has been able to install an external MMS pack with their 6.5 and get it to WORK? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
i am sorry, but the rules of this forum demand you search first, use forum search, use google, look it up in the wiki!
this exact same question came up on 04/02, 3 days ago. but anyway, i'm not here to give you a speech about that. let me explain it to you:
mms is more than just another mail account, it has complex settings and rules and you need to set up rules for sending and receiving that are not comparable to e-mail accounts. that is why, even if you knew all the settings for your carrier in your country, you would have no success in creating a new account. there is a program out there called arcsoft mms, (which i recommend you to use as a search phrase next time ) it is about 2mb, you can download it here: http://www.megaupload.com/pl/?d=DQEKP22D i haven't tested it myself, but the link is given in the wm6.5 21198 thread and the filename is sprintmms. you install the cab and this will create the account for you and make basic settings, you still have to set your country specific and carrier specific settings, which you can look up on your carriers site. if you can't find it, post again and i will look it up.
have fun with it

Just purchased a TP2 and completed the HardSPL and installed the EnergyROM. However I still can't get the picture messaging to work correctly. My previous phone was a unlocked Sony W810i which I'm able to send and receive MMS messages with no problem. I've tried to duplicate some of the settings from phone to phone but I haven't had good results. I didn't want to spend the extra money for the data plan because the phone has WIFI built in. All I want to do is be able to send and receive MMS messages. Can anyone help? Thanks.......Jason
go back to where you downloaded your rom and look for the mms settings cab and keyboard cab. nrg's energyroms always has a cab for it...
or you can do it yourself its easy
go to connections
select tmo mms
hit edit and change the access point to wap.voicestream.com
leave everything els the same way and save haha its easy
after having to flase a new rom every day(im addicted) you memorize it
Under the T-Mobile MMS I have
Server name: T-Mobile MMS
IP address: 216.155.165.50
Port number:8080
Server address:216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
Connect via: T-Mobile MMS
Message size limit: 300KB
WAP Version: WAP 2.0
Where do I enter the access point name?
This ROM does have T-mobile setup program but the settings for MMS will not work. I don't why I can't get it to work, I can send MMS on my W810i with no problems.

Yes, I tried setting up the MMS settings after the install. I was having this same problem before I flashed the the NRG ROM. I see that you have T-Mobile, did you have to install the CAB? Do you think I'm having issues becaus I don't have a data plan? I wouldn't think that would be the case because my old unbranded W810i works just fine when sending and receiving MMS. However that phone is not a smart phone. When you are in the connections tab what is the difference between My Work Net Work, and the standard T-mobile Data. Under my work netwok I have no connections set up. However I was reading a thread on a different forum that instructed you to setup a MMS connection under MY WORK NETWORK. I tried that, but it din't work. Also, everytime I try to send an MMS I get a message that says my current data connection will be stopped in order to send the MMS and then you have to select OK, is that normal? Sorry for the paragraph...this is driving me crazy.
did you go to start/settings/connections/connection setup and select your country and operator? that should have done the trick. if that dont do it then this is what you do. since the tmo mms .cab dosent fix it and your connections are set and it still wont work, go to tmobile.com and grab the 6.5 rom upgrade, flash it, soft reset,(this will set all your settings to tmobile network), try to mms and if successful, flash back the NRG rom and use the .cab for mms linked on his rom thread(also get the keyboard fix). it will take you about half an hour. if you dont want to do that then wait and see if someone else has a solution. theres 183 views on this thread and no one stepped in to give advise. i have unlimited everything with tmo and i have no issues with mms. hope you can mms soon...

I don't mean to slam you...too badly, but if you don't know how to fix this simple problem, you probably shouldn't be flashing roms. The fix was in the 3rd post, but obviously you haven't used Windows Mobile long enough to know what he was talking about, and you haven't searched for the answer long enough.
So with that said I will walk you through it.
1. Go to the Start Menu, Settings, Connections, and run Connection Setup. Ensure that you have selected United States for country and the operator is T-mobile. Click Ok. Then Yes.
2. Soft Reset
3. Go to the Start Menu, Settings, Connections, and open Connections.
4. Click on the "Advanced" Tab, select Networks, on the pull-down menu select T-Mobile MMS, and click edit.
5. The Radio tab next to T-mobile MMS should be selected, if not click it, then click edit and the bottom of the screen.
6. Click Next on the Name Connection Screen.
7. The next screen should be Access Point Name.
8. Change this to wap.voicestream.com
9. Click Next, on the next screen click finish, and the following click ok.
10. Change the box for "Programs that automatically connect to......." to T-mobile Data and click ok.
11. Soft Reset
I verified these steps as flashed the new version of NRG rom.

I appreciate your help, and I did try doing this before with 6.1, with 6.5, and with the NRG ROM. Maybe I missed a step or installing the MMS T-mobile cab screwed it up. However I did get it to work this time. Maybe I'm not a WM guru like you, but I'll be enjoying my NRG ROM now. Would you like to make a donation for your help? I know everyone gets tired of answering the same question over and over, however I have honestly been searching different forums and trying different fixes cabs etc.. Once again thanks for everyone's time. Too bad you have to get flamed for asking.

I know everyone gets tired of answering the same question over and over, however I have honestly been searching different forums and trying different fixes cabs etc.. Once again thanks for everyone's time. Too bad you have to get flamed for asking.

good to hear u all set.u dont have to be a wm guru to know your question. u only have to be a search guru, your question was very elementary.
sorry, wrong thread, please delete
Hi,
I have a problem with sending/recieving MMS.
I know that this question was raised here million times, but for the last hour I was searching here, googling around the net...and no solution I found worked for me.
APN settings for MMS are correct, I tripple checked that. Tried many variation, change few settings, but no luck.
I read somewhere that when wifi is on, MMS wont work. But wifi is usually off in my case.
Tried to delete APN settings, and reset them to default....also tried to manualy enter APN settings for data and for MMS.
Also tried to chage custom user agent...now it is on default android.
Size of MMS wasnt the case because I was trying to send small audio files (about 20kB).
Here you can see logcat while I was trying to send MMS.
This lines from it I guess that are important:
E/Mms:transaction( 1042): Url: http://mms.telenor.rs/servlets/mms
E/Mms:transaction( 1042): HTTP error: Forbidden
E/SendTransaction( 1042): java.io.IOException: HTTP error: Forbidden
Somehow it is not allowing me to use MMS server.
After that I turned on setting 'use only 2G networks' in settings / mobile network and next MMS was sent without problem. Then I disabled that option, waited a little for connecting with provider to finish and tried again. MMS was sent succesfully again.
Then I rebooted the phone, and after that I cant send MMS with or without that option turned on. No luck after another reboot. In logcat now are the same errors.
Anyone have a clue how to fix this?
Bump???
Anyone has any idea?
Ask your network operator.
Also:
Before you start, you need to activate your handset for receiving and sending MMS. For handset configuration send a SMS with text ‘mms’ to 131. Once you have sent the SMS for MMS configuration, you will receive MMS settings in the form of an SMS which you need to save.
You can also download MMS settings on your handset click here.

That came to me, but wanted to try something else before that for few reasons.
First: MMS worked fine when I first started to use android (mostly sense builds). I haven't tried it until recently, and as I said in two occasions MMS was sent successfully, so if my network operator is blocking it, I guess that I couldn't done that in those two times.
Second: I bought HD2 on contract at my network operator 6 months ago, and already violated warranty at least 50 times, so it would be awkward to ask them why is MMS not working on my Android HD2
Anyway, thanx for the suggestion, if I don't get any other hint here, I might try that...
edit: I just read you second message. MMS is activated long time ago and I have used it many times. I know the correct configuration for MMS. I have tried the one that was auto installed at first boot, and they are the same as the one I have.

To be fair they don't need to know what OS you have on your phone. They probably don't even know the HD2 can run Android, or possibly even what Android is.
Navigate your phone to the link I supplied above. The problem of course is that the page may well be dedicated to some sort of WM application rather than Android.
I googled this and returned only some issues of application development for the iPhone and Android where people were suggesting to use different port numbers etc, hence my advice to ring your network operator.
I'll guess I'll try that. Thanx for your help.
BTW, your link was telenor site from Pakistan And I couldn't open it. Anyway I read several APN settings on Telenor Serbia site, for HD2, Desire, Desire HD, generic Android settings...parameters are correct. Also tried to change port to 9021 (it said that it is for older devices), with no luck....

Well, apparently your advice was the right one. I called call center, my MMS service was active. They deactivated and reactivated it, I deleted APN settings, did a restart, entered settings again and so far it works, even after few restarts....

Did you make the same mistake as me and try to open it on your desktop PC?
It states you must open the link in your mobile device

Glad they've sorted it.
