read loads of posts on this phone. i used lokiwiz03a and got the unlock code but i dont no where i am suppose to put the code.
any idea anyone
start your phone with another simcard in it from another provider. Then the unlockcode will be asked.
Good Luck
Yep, it worked for me just like he described, although the first time it didn't I had to copy the cab files to my m600 and run them. Then I swapped the sim and it worked

Hey all, O2 are peeing me off  . - Incidentally it's not actually against Oftel regs to do this, (see faq on Oftel site), but this is an alteration of their normal policy and they did not warn us pre-purchase.
BUT
 I tried using one of the utility file browsers to play around with the SimLock.exe file.
Since it's ROM, you cant overwrite it, but what you can do is create a copy of another exe file (i chose power.exe) and rename this to also be SimLock.exe
(incidentally make sure you create a copy of the original simlock.exe file on your PC so you can copy it back later on)
This must alter some registery info somehow, as when you power the XDA2 up after this, lo and behold the power utilty boots instead of simlock.
Unfortunately, Simlock is nessesary to validate if you have a proper SIM at all (irrelevant if it's O2 or not), so the phone will only take emergeny calls (it's this point you need to copy back the original SimLock as it doesn't even take O2 sims at this point.)
BUT - While i never had an XDA1, I presume there is a similar app, i.e a SIM validation (perhaps not called SimLock) in that. Or perhaps in an already unlocked XDA2.
So what' I'd like to try is replacing my SimLock program with either one from an unlocked XDA2 (may not work if there is an IMEI number mixed with it somehow) or one from a XDA1 program which (i guess) either never had the IMEI mixed in or if it does - there are already the tools to alter it to the new IMEI of the XDA2 needing unlocking.
So could some one who has an unlocked XDA2 or XDA1 be kind enough to post these files somewhere so it can be tried out.
ArielS,
I posted at http://xda-developers.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=4017&highlight=
I thought your idea was brilliant,
After playing around for a while I remembered my original XDA is unlocked via the SER 1.2 from XDA-deve
I checked to see is there was a SimLock.exe on this machine so I could replace it with the one on my XDA II
But when I was look for it, its not there, all files unhidden
But its not there, I can see it on the XDA2 but not on the xda
Maybe it deletes itself once unlocked?
dunno
I still wonder if someone with an xda2 would still have it.
I was reading the old xda-deve/SER page and noticed that there program xdaunlock.exe
"Removes simlock"
Now I’m wondering (maybe xda-deve could help)
Does this mean it actually removes the file (as it’s in rom)
Or does it unlock it????
Any help would be appreciated

I just received my new phone and it's not unlocked like it was supposed to be but came in a box that has AT&T written on it. We don't even have AT&T wireless in this area. How do I get started unlocking it so I can take it into one of the local service providers' store and have it activated on their service?
I haven't even opened the box. I'm a little overwhelmed with all the other advice and comments on this forum.....
How should I proceed? I really need someone to slowly walk me thru this and spell everything out - no abbreviations!!!
thank you
Hi ...
The first step is to tell which ROM you have (Start -> Settings -> System -> Device info).
Get the file XDAunlock.exe from www.xda-developers.com/XDAunlock and copy it to your device using the cradle and Active Sync from your PC
Locate the file on your XDA using the File Explorer and click it. It should ask you to confirm the unlocking. Click "Yes".
If this doesn't work, we will have to go into a longer process.
Good luck ...
Thank you som much for your prompt response. I will try that today and get back to you. I've been afraid to even open the box in case I have to return it to the store where I bought it.

should I try the Special Edition XDA Rom ver 1.2 or try XDAunlock.exe?
Try the EXE file first. It's less in effort and much safer. Flashing the ROM should be the next step in case XDAunlock.exe gives an error message.
Good luck ...
I know this is going to sound like a novice, but that's what I am. B ut, do I leave the AT&T wireless SIM card that came with the phone in the phone while I run the XDAUnlock.exe application?
SId lock
Hi dude, listen If you had already tried to flash the ROM(special edition or kitchen)and a SID lock still been asked, try to type zero number eight times as code. For example 00000000.
Try
If you didn't install the new rom ,nevermind try what I've told you above.
unlocking with 0's
thanx. I'll give it a try with the new phone I'm getting. The old one is faulty and Siemens is sending a new one.
Hi All,
I have had just like a lot of you problem unlocking my sim, now i have figerd it out so you can also do this....
1. copy EnableRapi.Cab to the root of your Wizard
2. Run this it wil ask to be installed.
3. sync your wizard with your pc
4. run LokiWiz 3a
5. it will give you the unlock code
6. insert an other sim in your wizard
7. it will ask for unlock code type it and enjoy
I dont wanna start a flame here, but isn't the stuff you described not in the ReadMe of LokiWiz itself and in the LokiWiz topic?
But I'm glad that yet another Wizard is SIM unlocked
but CID unlock
i have T-mob USA stock ROM/everything; although lockiwiz3a does SIM unlock but what file will do CID unlock; i have to change my ROM (t-mob stock radio rom is crap.it's like using analog fone)
please help!
After ten minutes of looking at my tooth brush and playing with the toothpaste, I finally figured out how to brush my teeth. Then I realized the instructions were printed on the back of the toothpaste tube, that would saved me like 9 minutes and 59 seconds of figuring it out. Or, I could of went to teethbrushing-developers.com and run a quick search to find so many answers to all my questions. Yay.
or call t-mobile tell them you want your phone unlock and they'll send you the code... Had my done that way
Can anyone plz help
you need to unlock the phone for the sim card to work
i get unlock code from this guy on Ebay and receive my code within 30 minutes. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130386923441&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
Moved to general
But you can get it for $10.70 from this guy on ebay ....
I did not even need mine unlocked yet , but for $10.70 , just had to do it, got my unlock code in about 15 minutes , and it worked fine ...
Btw you can use file explorer or whatever, browse to /windows , and run simlock.exe and unlock your phone even if you do not have a foreign sim card ...
EDIT:
Just saw that suryo88 posted the same link, it does work ....
I have a dual boot hd2 that I purchased today and I purchased the unlock code for it. If I boot it into w6.5 it does not give me the option to unlock when I boot into android it gives me the option but tells me it is the wrong code.... Please help
Do I have to revert the phone back to factory? If so how I bought the phone with android because it was already done
Is it a t-mobile hd2 that your trying to use on ATT? If it is then simply take out the t-mobile card n place the ATT card in I believe. Then it'll ask u for a code I think.
yes it should but it doesn't... I have been talking to a few people that know more about hacking and I found out that some people think the phone will be faster in android if you strip windows down to the bear essentials and apparently that was removed. I think I will have to find someone to re flash the phone. although I was playing with the phone and found the imei# for the android phone which was a htc desire does anyone think if I payed for the unlock code for that phone it would work?
I guess there aren't any hackers in this forum... No help for any phone I've posted on
I had the exact same issue. The WM 6.5 rom I had didn't have a check to detect locked sim, so I booted into android (Mattc 1.7 at the time I believe) with att sim and android prompted for code and I entered the one tmobile gave me and it unlocked it.
I would say make sure you gave the people correct IMEI and that the code is correct, because doing it this way does work.
I tried that and it didn't work it told me it was the wrong code it does give me the right imei# for the phone the software came off of but not sure if that would unlock it because windows is still the controlling os isn't it?
you shouldnt have bought the phone with android on it. that is not really good for the developers either. your best bet as you probably do not know what the previous person did to it, is to wipe the phone completely (use search on how to task29 the phone), and reflash windows ROM and radio. then place the android files on the SD card as instructed and your done.
do not ask how to do all this, and hope for someone to write out a big long how to.
go look it up. thats what search is for.
i myself have a AT&T sim card now and would like to use it on the phone but i bought it from tmobile and now 20.00 less will hope to use the sim card on this phone. But when i put the card in no code or anything is asked of me with the hd2.. can some one help me please.
Use File Explorer in WinMo, navigate to the /Windows folder, make sure "show hidden files" is enabled, and tap the file called SIMlock (or something else very similarly named). It should then prompt you for the SIM unlock code, regardless of whether there's a SIM in there or not. If that file is missing or doesn't work, flash back to a stock ROM.
