T-Mobile like today plugin

My Vario had a t-mobile today plugin which I found veyr handy. Now I've upgraded to a qtek rom and it's not there anymore. Can anybody point into the direction of a similar plugin?

Are both programs to launch Applications / Phone / E-Mail etc. from the Today screen.

Tried those didn't like um. I just want a simple plugin which puts the icons on my today page without all the hoohaa.

cLaunch is pretty simple and only 90k. i think it works on wizards.
you could also use phm traylaunch or vj tray launch to launch stuff from the bottom tray on your today screen.

hmm can someone upload the t-mobile extended cabs? the today setup maybe part of that

completely replace today screen with app of your choice

hi,
is it possible to completely replace the today screen with an app of your choice, e.g. the phone app? i found a thread describing how to add a dialpad (plugin) to your today screen but nothing about how to replace.
why i am asking this is i want to use the htc kaiser phone skin as my default app (= today replacement)

I haven't seen anything to completely replace the today screen at startup. But, there are many 3rd party and HTC plugins...HTC Home would be the closest to a replacement and it has a application launcher tab. You can do a search on this if your intersted.

at least i am now certain that i have to live with the home screen.
re htc home: as far as i know it does not provide me with a dialpad functionality (or does it?).
i know that there are speeddial home-plugins (like the palm treo one), but i need now a complete dialpad-plugin incl. speeddial. have you seen s.th. like this?
or is it even possible to wrap an exe file (e.g. by a third party software) and make it available as a home plugin?

The HTCHome does not have a dialpad. Also, I haven't seen any Today screen dialpad plugins (but there might be some out there). Just saw this active thread that teaches creating & customizing the Today screen...maybe some help for you:

Launcher is a Today screen add-on for PocketPC's. It adds an icon bar, much like Windows's Quick Launch bar. You can place as many applications (screen space permitting) to it's list as you wish simply by copying link files into the Launcher folder, and launch the applications with one tap.

Treo 800W's Today screen dialer?

Hello all,
Can someone extract the Treo 800W today screen dialer plugin? It appears that the Treo Pro will not have this nice plugin. This plugin resides on the Today screen and can be hidden using the hidelogo.cab.
I like how the plugin lets you dial directly from the Today screen. The WM6.1 dialer takes you AWAY from the Today screen to dial, which is inefficient.
If someone already have the extracted cab, can you please PM me? In the past, the plugin was made available here but Palm complained and it had to be removed. Thanks so much!

I'm with you - I hate the standard WM dialer. I've just upgraded to a Treo Pro from a 750 and I am not enjoying the experience. If you got anywhere with your request could you share it with me?

Thanks for the file. I don't think it's the right one. What I am looking for is Treo's on screen dialer. When you start typing a name or number, it automatically begin to display the matching contact right ON the Today's screen. Although WM6 have this same feature, it takes you to a new window for the search. It find this extra screen inefficient.
Take a look at the image at this post. It's the second item on the screen. The one that says "Type a name or number"

I think it's called "Dial look-up," but I think it is also part of "Active call" (the search box at least)
I just wish Palm's today screen plug-ins weren't so intertwined. I've tweaked them to off on my 700wx.

From my search in the forum, at some point, somebody did post this cab file. However it was removed because Palm supposedly complained to xda-dev. If it can be hosted offsite, that might work.

"Today" screen.

COnfused with it.
I go into setting, into the "Today" tick things i want, like Date, Messenger bla bla.
Press OK in the top left.
But my Today screen doesnt show them... when I go back ot the settings, all the ticks I ticked are gone?
Any ideas? :S

Did you untick TF3D? It will over-ride everything. Can't have them both without second today installed.

Ah i see, thats pretty **** without the TF3D on... so can I have that, and add stuff like messenger etc to the today screen or no?

There is a program called Second Today which lets you switch between the two. I don't use it but a few here say it's good.

If you scroll down to post number 44 in the pocketbreeze forum you have all the links needed for SecondToday.
PocketBreeze is a commercial today screen plugin. This is a full diary/contacts/notes/etc viewing program. It is quite famous as a good today plugin.

Second Today is great.
I have it set up to display SPB Diary only. Its exactly what ive always worked towards. A full screen view of my PIM info (calendar, sms, tasks, notes).
