Apologies if this has been asked before, but does anyone know if O2 are planning to release the Trinity under the XDA badge?

Don't have a mobile phone. Do have an Ipaq 1910. Used to have a Jornada928. Sent J928 back as it was crap. Would like another PPC with phone capabilities.
So, is the current XDA worth picking up, given that I already have a cracking little Pocket PC (which I suspect is probably better than the XDA for what it does)?
Or, should I wait for Chrimbo and get an XDA II on contract?
Thanks
Pete
Opps! Wrong forum!
Could one of the mods please move this to the General forum please?
Thanks and Sorry!

Just got an x10 few days ago and having some silly questions now.
About the bootloader,is it finally unlocked or cracked?
Which rom in your view do the best for a newbie x10 user?
2.3.4 or 2.3.3 will be released?
Any good thread to refer to for a newbie?
Thanks

First things first, 歡迎中伏 (welcome to the death trap)
The bootloader is impossible to crack in the foreseeable future, unless SE gives us the unlock. However there is the bypass being worked out which allows us to side load kernels.
As for roms, the 2.2 ones are quite neat, and the GB update is just around the corner.

Hi, and welcome to the x10 community.
As far as we know, the bootloader HAS NOT been cracked or unlocked.
In my opinion, the best newbie rom would be Zidzihu's FreeX10 beta 4. Have a look in the dev section for it. Make sure you read up on rooting, xRecovery, Roms, and flashtool before attempting to flash anything. We are expecting the update to 2.3.3 to roll out in the coming few weeks, maybe sooner.
There is a sticky in the general section that has a lot of useful and important information in it, just have a quick look at that.

This has nothing to do with development. You should really ask questions in the q&a section.

Hey folks,
Sorry if this is already a topic somewhere else, tell me and I'll fix my mistakes!
I'm sitting in Canada waiting for the new update, and I was wondering whether any other XDA users already got theirs?
**** like this takes so much longer were I live . Any news on your ends, other countries?
I'm with Rogers by the way.

The developers choice to create a thread. No one else can unless they get permission from them. I've read over at their community that they will create a thread "soon". Don't know when soon is but its just a matter of time until they do so.
