Anyone managed to put Miomap working with the Helmi_C Aku 3.5 Rom with the VGA hack activated?
Mine starts, but it stays with a black screen for a little time and then crashes my Qtek 9000 and I have to softreset it.

Handmark Monopoly
Hello,
I'm a newbie to this forum so go easy on me. I've had a HTC blue Angel for the longest time and it finally died on me, so I upgraded to a Tytn (Cingular 8525). I'm used to messing with the ROMS of my blue angel so flahsing new roms is not mystery to me.
I've tried the default ROM that comes with the 8525, and also the newest version from cingular. I also tried the LVWM WM6 version that was released here, and this leads me to a question:
Is there any way to get bluetooth DUN working in WM6? I realize that there is PAN support in WM6, however my computer (Macbook) does not suport PAN so it is currently not useful to me.
DUN works in WM5 on the Mac natively, is there some way I could get the WM5 DUN working in WM6?
Thanks!
EDIT: Aparrently it does support PAN, but it only works with the PAN in the AKU3.3 release of WM5. It seems it does not work with the PAN in WM6?
or do i need to upgrade to TTV6?
yes
Yes, TT5.21 works fine. I use the LVSW version and used the WMXL. In both configuration TT5.21 worked.
OK, thanks. I must have some other problem then
Don't suppose you know if TT 5.21 works better then TT6 on WM6. I have more lockups and freezes on my phone when I have TT installed (even if it's not running). It's not much, it seems every day or two it freezes but usually I don't realize (service lights keep blinkin away) and I miss calls
I'm running (or trying to run) TT6 on my WM6 LVSW ROM SPV M3100. Not had any problems with any other aps but TT6 is constantly locking up. I'm currently running TT6 V 6.03 but have also tried V6.02 which also seems to have serious ssues with WM6. I'll be keeping a close eye on the TomTom website for software upgrades!

One thing I did find that HELPS is be sure you install the software onto your system itself and not an external card. You can store maps and voices on the the card but when you have TT6 running off the card and it crashes, I was left only with the option of resetting. Running off the system itself, half of the time I could hit the end call button on the phone and it would minimize tom tom. Then when I reclicked the tom tom link, it would start responding again or I could close it and kill it fromt he control panel and restart. I still have the occasional hard freezes none the less but this is a lot better as 75% of the time I can recover
I think it already is installed to the main memory cus the .exe is located in the main memory Programs folder. I'm regularly hitting the red answer release and ok buttons too. Just such a pain. Come n TomTom. I did a search on on their website and theres is no mention of WM6 anywhere!

Probably because WM6 isn't officially out. It's been officially announced but we are not using final software. I suspect some time after the final version is out, they will release a new version supporting it.
Running TomTom5.21
No issues at all on WM6 Black 1.2 runs even better then on WM5, the UI is much quicker in WM6. Even turning on my GPS unit has instant access, I always had issues with WM5, I had to "refresh" the GPS under bluetooth for TomTom to find it.
Running it on an imate JasJam.
i re-installed it after loading WM6 Black and now it works great. Used to startup in 60 seconds on WM5. Now approx 12 secs on WM6 - brilliant
Tom Tom 6 v6.030 on WM5 2.11 ROM without any problems here.
Startup is around 6-8 seconds (I have a crappy Bluetooth GPS so sat lock-on takes a bit longer) and lockup free. Went on a 160 mile round trip last weekend and never had a single problem.
Ever since I've installed my BT Qstarz GPS and Handymap Ai Gold, my Helmi Rom hangs on, mostly on startup screen. I have to perform an HR. It is quite frustrating and I really dont want to do without the GPS.
Anybody had this.....would love a solution.

I have TomTom Bluetooth GPS and dont face any problem.
Suggestion: Try to install your GPS on Storage Card and not on local storage, this might work. Best of luck.

I dont think its handymap issue, cause a lot of us had this "hang at startup screen" issue, which solution is to clear the registry hive... I had this issue multiple times with original Helmi's R0 without having any gps apps.
I see you are still using helmi's original R0 release. Try installing Xplode's or pdaviet's WM6 release. They are newer than R0 and has been tweaked more by the geniouses.. so they are faster, more stable, etc...
I am currently on pdaviet's rom, and never had this issue nomore...
Hi,
In my first Athena, i have upgraded to wm6.
the major of this upgrade was the possibility to execute RealVGA soft by Tobias.
But, the BT stack has any problems (with BT-1.2 headsets).
In my actual Athena, i don't have upgraded to wm6.
the major is the good implementation of BT stack, that works fine, even with my LG Style-i.
But, the RealVGA don't works and the ozVGA and mvrTrueVGA hacks are very limited...
Please, feedback with the OS what you use in your Athena.
Regards,
Bart
Upgraded to Black Dual by PK, after Black Touch and all, so WM6, but not because of WM6 itself, only because the Athena Project builds upon it.
