I have 3 simple questions, so if u could help me out i would very much appreciated it...
1. I am getting an XDA Orbit in two days (YAY), is the Tottom any better than the co-pilot that comes with it? What are the differences.
2. What Tomtom software spacificly do i need for a Orbit? (i mean if u could explain in more detail than "tomtom navagation 6") or does any tomtom software work?
How do i put the tomtom software on the orbit?
if u could help me out i would be very grateful
TomTom is more popular than Co-Pilot but that does not mean there is anything wrong with Co-Pilot. I don't think that any difference is going to be worth shelling out for if you already have Co-Pilot.

As my old trusty XDA11 has packed up, I now have a new o2 XDA mini 's' (Wizard). Trouble is, Tomtom Navigator 3 (as worked ok on the XDA11), won't install. Tomtom tell me it's incompatible, but the guy in the o2 shop assured me that I would find a work-around on here. Well I've looked, and I can't find any.
Can anyone help please?
The Guys at the phone-shops are total n00bs... They even don't know what a PocketPC is. TomTom 3 isn't working on WM5. Even TomTom 5 need a installer modification to work.
Yeah I know, but this guy completely bullshitted me that he knew all about XDA's! Guess I'll have to fork out again for 5.21
Hi
Left the xda scene a while back but now have an o2 xda mini s. which i think is the 'wizard' on its way to me.
Does anyone know if it is compatible with tomtom navigator 5 ? the gps thing should be but i'm not sure if the OS will run the software.
Also does anyone know of any tomtom alternative that costs less?
cheers
yes it runs tomtom (5.21) perfectly. i would not recommend anything else really, its so good. the new copilot (ver 6) is supposed to be ok though, not sure if its any cheeper though. you can get tomtom pretty cheeply though if you hunt around.
I don't really know if I can say this on the forum....
But...search around on usenet and p2p networks and you'll should find TT5 and everything you need there.

Is there any costs after tomtom is installed?
Im thinking grps etc. I presume it will be like being onnected to the internet and could use up a lot?
there is no GPRS use if you do not subscribe to any extra service.
Got an M1500 and got a few queries...Apologies but I'm techie enough to know about the forum but not enough to know a lot about my phone!!!
Is this the same as the Alpine?
There's lots of talk of TomTom being installed. Besides TomTom is there any other software I could use to add SatNav to my phone?
Is there a hands free car kit available?
Any help appreciated...
