Here are my collection of USA settings for TMobile and Cingular. Let me know which CAB file works for you.

Thanks for the help, I really am new to this, so, my next question is, how do I implement these files, and where on my device for them to work. I hate to sound ignorant, but I am really new to this stuff.

Copy the files you need to your SD Card. Use "File Explorer" to run and install the CAB files to your device. Good luck.

I tried it, it shows the set up file as a xml file, basically it opens up as a script on IE, I must be doing something wrong.

What exactly is "back key"?
Just to complete:
Default_Delete_vdisk
Just makes the extended_rom invisible again.
Default_Patch_103_3
I've heard it updates the battery, radio and some other internals. Unless you have a problem I don't see the need - you can't shift this stuff from \windows so it will eat memory. Personally I'm just going to wait for the latest ROM update, then the above wll be out of date.
Default_Version_WWE_103143.sa
Updates some registry info, no practical effect that I know of.
Can't run LoadVDisk.exe
I can't run LoadVDisk.exe with my Mini, I can see the file but it won't run.
Is it locked ?
Or should I make changes with registry first ?
Thanks
Great thanks alot guys

You simply click on it! It doesn't display any message. Then you can access the extended_ROM...!!
Thanks guys great help. I personally did not install anything and my phone works still. Even without the patches. I will probably wait for rom update as well.

Format Modifies Screen Telephonic Keyboard (qtek S200)

Hola to all:
I need help. I have installed in my Qtek S200 the program SKINVODAFONE .
It has changed the format of screen of the telephone (menu to mark when we realize a call) and it has put it that of Vodafone.
I would like to change again the format of this screen to which it had in a principle, the standard format .
Thank you very much for your help and HAPPY YEAR!!!.
Try going to Start->Settings->System->Remove programs and uninstalling the program.
If that doesn't work you may need a hard reset, but then you will loose all you data.
Thanks levenum , but it already had tried it.
To do a hard-reset is the only thing that happens to me also, but what he would need to avoid the hard-reset is the program that installs the original screen or standard of the Qtek frees.
Certainly , I am not the only one interested in changing this screen to Qtek's original screen, in the Spanish forum also he has been interested.
One more thought:
There should be a Qtek extended ROM on the FTP. One of the cabs there should have the dialer installation.

On the FTP... excuse but that it is the FTP?
That you want to say, that should install the standard EXT-ROM? But then would it lose all the information and installed tricks, not?
FTP - File transfer protocol. Mainly describes the server on which XDA holds different version of ROM for HTC/QTEK devices.
And yes, you should install the standard EXT ROM. You need to do a full back up and then restore your data not to loose existing data. Your device will be wiped!!
I would strongly suggest to think twice before installing a new ROM if you are a novice.
Just my .02cts
Hold on just a minute.
No need for drastic measures yet.
This is the link to the FTP: ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com
You can access it with IE or any other FTP capable browser or client.
User name: xda
Password: xda
You do not need to reinstall all of the ext ROM or format your device. All you need is to look for the cab file that installs the Qtek dialer (I assume Qtek ROMs do not use standard Win Mobile dialer, the ugly blue thing).
Copy this cab to your device and run it like a regular program installation.

But I need a bit more... I cannot accede to the link that you indicate me, it says to me that Windows does not have access to this folder, say me please since I can accede to locate the cab?
Thank you very much again.
You need to type it like this ftp://xda:[email protected] or select 'Log in as...' from the file menu.
You should really do a Google search and read up on how to use ftp.
I had quick look and there don't seem to be cabs in the prophet section, but look around, a cab from another devices, like wizard (don't remember it's Qtek name) should do, since this is just a dialer.

As far as i know the qteks use the ugly blue dialer (standard microsoft item + smartdialer)
Juan what exactly is wrong with your dialer - a screen shot would be helpful.
btw no need for caps in your title - it appears like your shouting
Hmm, well there is always ZenPhone, they have some nice skins...
(Unless you feel like doing hard reset, as that is a definite cure).

Hi levenum - i think the vodaphone dialer has messed up the layout of his dialer - your tip it may work
also see here http://zombienexus.net/
btw levenum still using lvmtime on my new orbit with aku 3.0 - i found the clock on the top bar was in the wrong place - so using yours - cheers!

That's what I figured from the posts too, so i guessed installing any 3rd party dialer should work.
Perhaps then if he uninstalled it the phone would default back to the 'ugly blue'

Orange UK Connection Settings

I've made a cab for the Orange UK Connection Settings, including MMS. It also sets the regional settings to UK as well. Hopefully helpful to those people who keep flashing these lovely WM6 ROMs
Install and then soft reset.
how can i build my own cab file with the settings i need?
Forza,
Sounds good - does it re-apply the MMS folders to the device too?
Oh and how do you run it?
Many thanks,
Matt

This cab applies the MMS settings applicable to Orange UK on a newly flashed device - on my device I get the usual Inbox/Deleted items/Drafts/Sent Items etc.
To run it simply copy it to your device and the use File Explorer to find it and click it.
Nice One
Many Thanks forza.
Very useful - was getting fed up typing them in manually all the time!
cheers mate thanks for the cab file i lost the last one now have it on my storage card
thanks
andy
Spot on!
Orange were struggling with getting my connections back up and running, lucky someone knows what they are doing!

official wm6 dopod network wizard problem error (workaround)

For all those who has problems with the new dopod wm6 network error you can now copy these files into your windows folder it will ask to overwrite select yes to all and then you can reset (optional) go into settings again and you will see another network icon which can be used for all.
You can use total commander which i think is the best file explorer

Cheers for that duttythroy.
I had done it manually before, but prefer the automation of the wizard.

HTCustom 1.8 cab

Ok, apologies if this is a dumb question from a relative newbie.
I found a thread to download "HTCustom 1.8 cab" (by Shadowmite), and need some help.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=316416
1. It's a year since it was posted, so is it still valid and a recommended download? I have read that amongst other things it will allow me to not have sim contacts listed as well as phone contacts, as well as improve the volume of incoming calls, so I am keen to try it out, as long as there is absolutely NO RISK FACTOR (I can make do without it!).
2. HOW DO I INSTALL IT? I save it to my desktop. It's a zip file which when opened presents me with the 3 files "HTcustom.000", "ooocab90.001", and "setup.xml". What do I do now???
Apologies, but I've always used activesync to install cabs so am not sure what to do in this case!
Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Matt.

If it is .cab so just copy it to your PDA and install it there.. don't extract the .cab
Hi, thanks for the reply.
Like I say, it's saved on my desktop as a zip file which when opened presents me with the 3 files "HTcustom.000", "ooocab90.001", and "setup.xml".
So... what part of it do I copy and where exactly in my pda do I put it? In My documents? On the Storage card?

It's not a zip, it's a cab, just that you have cab files associated with your archiver. Just copy the file to the device and tap it.

Doesn't matter for copying, install it to your device though!
I've installed it, it did warn me that it may not work with Windows Mobile 6.1, and it seems it doesn't. Doesn't work on my device anyway, whatever the reason...
When I attempt to select any tweaks and save it, it just says error and asks me to quit the program! I'll contact Shadowmite and see if there is a WM6.1 version.
All I really want is to NOT have SIM contacts appear as well as phone contacts (so suprised there is not an option.. what's the point in having duplicates???)
Also, apparently there is a fix out there that improves the volume of incoming calls?
Advice anyone?

It must have something to do with Framework. Do you have it installed?
As for the sound issue, do you have WOW SRS installed? If not, what's your ROM version?
Regarding SIM contacts, here!
