(yet another registry Tweaker)
I have made it for who prefer a "ready-to-use" tweaker...no box to check, options to choose, etc....only install and enjoy a "pimped" PocketPC.....
Isn't a "program", infact doesn't install anythings....simply edit the registry!
No programs appear in the "Installed Program" list, so you can't unistall directly...
however, soon I'll relase another CAB to "install" in order to came back to the original registry values....
It works on ANY WM5 device, phone or not....however some tweaks maybe don't work on you ppc....
anyways these are the modifications:
Green works on ANY wm5 device
Blue works on any wm5 PHONE device
Red works ONLY on wm5 3G phone (aka, Trinity & Hermes)
1) "Low Battery" notification edit-able
2) "Start menu animation" is OFF
3) Bugs FIX for SD, miniSD, microSD card

in MY-self deleted post i wrote all the tweaks used!....deleted (by meself) simply to clean this 3d!
Thanks,... but after install your tweak,I can't see any apps installed after that in Remove Programs windows.
Hard reset is the only way.

Any programs installed after tweak will not show in Remove Programs windows.

the screen Just wait then set date & time ENJOY

PS I Fixed that link and 10 mins later it don't work again always had trouble with that extrom link?
Also It should work just fine with all my BA ROMs
The largefilesasap link should work fine (also very fast to upload) and no waiting time but it expires 72 hours from now
Knowing of the problems you´ve had with rapidshare for ExtRom I have now used megaupload may be it lasts longer over there.
By the way is there any reason why some of the default manila2d graphic files have to be on a folder of their own rather than \Windows ?
Having it all on \Windows would make it much easier to mod the default skin

All the graphics files were originally in the \windows folder but because of the extra hundreds of files in the folder, it was found to slow down windows significantly. Therefore, Xplode moved them to a seperate subdirectory to reduce the file count in \windows and speed up the response time.

Flash instruction:- Put Flash.dio and XDA_UC folder on SD card (SD should be <=2G)
- Hold mute + record together and finally press power and release all 3 together
- SDloader appear and will clean boot when done

Q: Manila right softkey is named "programs", but by pressing on it launches camera
It is a known bug related to M2DC (M2D Config). Exactly after flashing all should be correct, but if you open M2DC, change something in it and accidentally press to softkey tab and then press ok (without modifing softkeys) M2DC automatically redefine softkeys to their default values Phone and Camera. So this bug is related to M2DC. Because i am not a developer of this program, i cant fix this.

Q: When my pda battery left about 35%, the pda starts to scream "Low Battery Voltage detected" and then after 10 seconds the pda will turn off.
It is related to bad calibration of your battery or your battery is bad (old)
Solution:
Buy a new battery.
Before you buy new battery, try this solution
Discharge your battery to 0% with video. Then without turning it on charge to 100%. Should happen recalibration of battery, if it is not so old.
If dont work this, so buy a new one.

-odd to me when the customization engine finish and i press reset, the screen go blank (not off just black) and seem to hang there, i punch the pinhole reset and seem works fine
-your pagepool seem to be 4mb(based on pagepool_by_wlodixon)
-and the dpad program doesn't seem to work
-you use the 80mb flash.dio (based on original flash.dio?) instead of the 76.9mb that other rom cooker use so you have a lot of unnecessary empty space at the end of file but I guess you will optimize later

I use kitchen by captaintrip, it always generates the same size of flash.dio file (80 mb). If you use something different or know how to decrese size of ROM, share your knowledge
you can change the TEMPLATE.ROM in ROM folder to a smaller one, I used pdalcan rom as template which is smaller, make sure you replace the xip with yours though. But I guess it probably doesn't matter much other than the flash file is smaller

Had same sh*t , used laptop Card reader , failed , used external USB port card reader - worked (took me serveral hourse to figure wtf) i thougt i messed up my phone
So if you're writing a file to a SD or whatever and pulling it straight out this mite be the case (windows didint finish writing to the card thus the "delayed write" failed)
Thaqnks for the Rom will try this on my 614c some time later on
Thanks for this sharing. I thought it was my problem, checked 5 times and it always flashed OK. So not my ROM Problem. Check guys your card readers.

I tried to install WM 6.1 21042 BETA 0.2 and it works fine.
BUT I have small advice - start menu font and context menu font size is too large.
Can you change size of it?
Just for example; ROM WM6.1 OS 5.2.20270 rev 1.2 FIX with iolite manila v22 (link is in sergiorus signature) has nice font size and exactly what I need and I am sure other guys will be satisfied

It is HTC Enlarge Start Menu program, in next update i will add a small control panel applet to enable/disable this feature.

The Extrom is installed by putting the folder to the sd card. The installation starts automatically after a soft- or hard reset. The cfg.txt can be editted to personal use.
In correspondance with cosmicgate, i decided to post our guide on how to upgrade here, to avoid question further questions about that:
THESE INSTRUCTIONS ARE SUITABLE FOR WINDOWS XP COMPUTERS ONLY!!!
For people running WM5/6x but with 43MB of storage:
You have to downgrade to WM2003 and here's how to do that:
1. Download this Windows Mobile 2003 SE rom:
Download from Rapidshare
Download from Uploaded.to
and extract it to a folder of your choice.
2. Remove both the the SIM card and the sd card
3. Put the device into Bootloader Mode, pressing power+record and reset
4. your device display shows Serial v2.0x
5. on the pc (running Windows XP!) open the Task manager, go to the 2nd tab (Processes) and kill "wcescomm.exe" and "WCSEMgr.exe"
6. Now let's start the actual Upgrade:
7. Navigate to the Upgrade folder
8. Start Maupgradeut_noid
9. If in the 2nd window the rom version is not shown, something went wrong, start over!
10. Then start the upgrade and you should see a progress bar, also look at the device's display, it should also show the progress.
11. After it finishes perform a "WM2003 hard reset" by pressing power and reset
12. wait for the extrom to finish
13. now you can re-insert your sim and sd card (if you are planning to go on from here, you can also leave them out).
14. proceed with "For devices running wm2003"
For devices running wm2003:
1. Copy repart_doc.exe and the unlocker cab to the device and install the unlocker. In the start menu you will find a folder named "Extrom Tool".
2. Click "unhide" (if you are getting an error message, proceed with 2.a, else with 3.)
2.a the unlocker installs into the standard folder for program files, which depends on the rom language can be "\programme" or "\programmes" etc.
2.b the link in the start menu always points to "\program files"
2.c the easiest way, to solve that, is to rename your program files folder to "\program files"
2.d that destroys parts of the system, but doesn't matter because it is just needed for unlocking
2.e since now the link location should be correct, proceed with step 3.
3. Click "unlock", maybe a soft reset is needed.
4. Start repart_doc.exe
5. Set the future size, if not pre-entered, to 128kb (smallest possible partition size on this file system)
6. Click "Format now!"
7. Soft reset
8. Go back to the Extrom Tools
9. "Lock"
10. "Hide"
11. Now proceed with "Upgrading a WM5/6 device"
Upgrading a WM5/6 device
1. Remove both the the SIM card and the sd card

5.a copy the downloaded nk.nbf to any given folder, let's call it Upgrade 28008
5.b copy the contents of this package to the same folder: MAupgradeUt_noID
5.c Start MAupgradeut_noID
6. If in the 2nd window the rom version is not shown, something went wrong, start over!
7. Then start the upgrade and you should see a progress bar, also look at the device's display, it should also show the progress.
8. After finishing, take the device out of the cradle take out the battery and insert the SIM card
9. copy the EXTROM folder to the sd card and insert the sd card
10. Hard reset the device, pressing reset+power and record+camera and in the menu, that appears set:
Enable_Kitl: NO
Clean Registry Hive: YES
Format Storage: YES
using the camera and record buttons.
11. press the mail button to confirm your selection.
12. your device starts for the first time, you align the screen and let the extrom install, it soft resets and your device is ready to use

what exactly does not work for you, i tested the sync with contacts, tasks, favorites and appointments and it all works out fine so far.
did you hard reset your device after upgrading, did you delete the old sync profile, set up a new one and set the content settings right?

No, there is no Microphone AGC in the settings.

when using Lanscape mode, and at the restart, the screen will return to Potrait with a touch screen that does not irregular like the R71's Xplode. but it was not my experience on the d-two ROM version 1 (WM6.5.1 build 23052). try to use the method Lanscape then restart, then you will experience it.

This solved the input settings problem:
Remove the "Redirect" value under the following keys:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\Input]

if you download a english rom you could put a empty file called welcome.not(.not is the file extension) on the root of youre storage and the align screen part gets skipped
As stated above the solution to skip or bypass the screen alignment process altogether is to use a blank text file called, welcome.not.
How to do it: there are a couple of ways you can find in the forum, however, one way is to create a blank text file called, welcome.not, instead of welcome.not.txt, and place it in the root of your storage card. Next, flash a new rom or hard reset and you're done.
If all goes to plan, the "welcome" phase will be bypassed, any you will not be prompted to align the screen or set the date, location, time etc. If for some reason it does not, go into the root of your SD and manually with your stylus or via activesync on your desktop create a new blank file in there and name it welcome.not.
