Does anybody know about a weather prog, thats works for Sweden????
PocketWeather has support for most of the larger cities in sweden.
I use it and can recomend it.

MEE, why do you prefer pocketweather ?
It´s the only one I tried so I cant say that I prefer it. But it does the job for me and has´nt make any trouble.
I bought it boundled with pocketbreeze.
But WheatherPanel also looks interesting, the features are almost the same.

I tried both pocketweather and weatherpanel, but i dont get it to work, how the he** :evil: do i get it to work?
wheatherpanel works GREAT for me!
it even lists Sweden lidingö (where i live) haven't tried pocket weather since weatherpanel works so great for me. also "update weather" works.

How do you update?
Activsync or with the phone?
I tried both but i cant get it to update, i dont get any conection.
What kind of device do you have, could you give me a step to step information?
I realy needs a weather program.
I update both trough GPRS and activesync on my QTEK s100.
I attach a file with the cities supported by pocketwheater.
Do you have a working GPRS-connection?
Can you connect to internet trough activesync?
If this work then it should be no problem to update the wheater in pocketwheater.

I don't if you hacve the same on PocketWeather, but on WeatherPanel, you have a Diagnostics page, helpfull to try if it's working (and connecting) fine.
If you can go on the web from you PPC (using IE) you should update the app easily

i have the jam/qtekS100.
works booth throug GPRS and activesync. Do activesync work on for example PIE?
Have u listed where u live? u can do an easy search in options.
sbsh pocketweather is great! lot's of options and also has diagnostics.

When i do a city search a get a message that says: "no cities found. please enter another city, but Malilla is on the list, and when i run diagnostics i get a couples of errors in proxy, what should the proxy settings be?????

First thing: do you have an internet connection from your PPC (can you surf on the web) ?
Explain us, how are you connected. GPRS, Wifi, ActiveSync passthrough ?
I have both gprs connection and conection via activesync, i have no problem to update my avantgo, but i cant get the weather prog to update, it´s complaining about proxy, no cities, and no conection at all :?: :?:
My pc is allways conected, so i should get on the net as soon as i put the synccable in.

Ditto on PocketW eather. I love it. I tried Weather Panel and it wasn't as good in visual presentation. Also, it keep self-dialing out on my GPS, which awas annoying since I prefer to update when I'm on active sync.
Howver Pocket Weather seems to refuse to self-update on active sync, even though I instructed it to that automatically. So its not perfect. But it seems to be the best one out there.
My pocketweather updates automatically when synched.

Doesn't seem to work so far. We'll see how it goes.
Anyway, will that make my JAM go out on GPRS on its own? The whole point is that I wasnt the weather to always sync automatically when on ActiveSync - but if its not docked then I only want GPRS updates if I manually initiate them.
with this setting - nothing checked - pocket weather will only update if it detects a connection (ie active sync or manually started gprs). it will not automatically start up gprs.
remember that pocket weather will only update itself at least one hour since the last update (or longer if user selected), so try setting up like this and plug in to activesynch in an hour or so.

Hi ...................anyone know where I can get the BIS for the Herald? I downloaded the Tytn one, but it does not seem to work as there's no pin associated. I guess like MS voice command maybe a new version is needed to make it work. Anyone have any ideas where to get it? Thanks

Silly question, but have you tried the network wizard? I could never get mms to work with 3 on wm5, but soon as I put wm6 on and ran the wizard it sorted everything out, no proxy either. Haven't tried live messenger though

What network wizard ?
On my WM6 rom on o2 XDA exec it's under start/settings/connections/network wizard, but it may not have been included in your rom for the treo. If it's not on your phone, have a poke around here and on the web for it

I've installed cab files wm6voip.cab and wm6-sipconfigtool200.cab into a Siemens Loox N560 Pocket PC.
After restarting the device the following message appears:
"The file ':MSCprog' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists try reinstalling or restoring this file"
Phone symbol is shown in top bar but when I try 'Settings', nothing appear.
'Internet Calling' is show in Today settings but nothing appear in Today screen.
I've successfuly installed these two cabs in an E-TEN X500 - wm6 and is working great with voip calls.
So I think I need a phone application. Where can I find one? Does wm6 voip client work without a phone application?

There's no cprog (phone dialer) on PDA, you need a smartphone.
MS WM6 VoIP/RTP stack may exist somewhere for PDA, but it's not the same as the smartphone version you are trying to use.

Do you know where can I find such version of wm6 voip for PDA?
