SetDevicePower + SDIO - Windows Mobile Development and Hacking General

Greets.
Anyone knows what is the device id to put in the first parameter of SetDevicePower (pvDevice) to turn on and off the SDIO drive, or a SD wireless card?
How can I get it?
Thanks in advance.

What about the MMC type cards or is that just another name for SD(SDIO)?
And what abuot COM1(SERIAL) on the bottom of the xda witch is used to connect to a desktop computer(SERIAL or USB), is there any kind of device which can connect to that port and is WiFi capable?
mmc and sd flash cards are the same interface
sd is a newer and faster (in general) then mmc
mmc is ONLY memory
sd when the device support SDIO can offer other features like WIFI and such
the serial connector in the buttom of the xda is special for the xda and other devices dont have the same connector as in the same wirering
supply and demand makes it unlikely that anybody would make a wifi
device which would work only for xda's
when all newer pda's support SDIO
also serial connection is way way way way slower then wifi and SDIO

SD or SDIO ? How to know ?

Hi everybody,
My question : is it possible that on my S100, the SD slot is one SD only, and not one SDIO enable port ??? Seems strange, but now, I think I have proceed with all the tests I could immagine to make my SDIO Wireless card working, without success, I really wonder if this could not be an hardware or one slo problem... How could I check this SDIO well working ? I have try to use my standard SD storage cards, there are working very well, and I do not have any other SDIO device to test....
Any idea ?
Thks
I just precise that I donot have any led or other that could show me if the device get power etc... or not.
Bye

Wireless SD Cards and Chipsets...

Quiz question. I've been doing some research into SDIO wifi cards for WM2005 and my SPV M1000.
What i want to know is, What chipset do Socket SD WLAN cards use? Is it per-chance: "Inprocomm"
Reason i ask is, i've ordered a SAFECOM SD wifi card, which ive heard doesn't have drivers for WM2005, however, it use the above chipset.
Alternativley, does anyone have drivers for this model card, or a way to make it work?
Cheers,
Tim

Dual MiniSD I/O possible?

i recently stumbled on a thread on Hackaday, where there was one entry where he managed to piggy back the connection of the SD and hard wired it to a SD Wifi, leaving the SD slot open for a SD memory card (parallel connection).
The question is, is it possible to do the same on an Atom? or any PPC for that matter? Maybe, a dummy SD or minisd with two MiniSD2SD connectors (for holder) in parallel so you could connect a minisd memory on one and a minisd wifi on the other. I wonder if the parallel connection will work?
Also correct me if im wrong, but i read somewhere that the SDIO uses two modes of communication with the SD, one is serial i think and the other is direct or something, but the latter is much slower and only good for devices like wifi and stuff and the direct method is for memory. So saying that, i guess 2 Memory card is not possible, and only Device and Memory is quite plausible.
I hope its possible. Anyone care to enlighten the subject?
why do you need to install an sdio wifi card to your atom when it already has built-in wifi? Anyway, it would be better if someone can make a sd to usb converter. This way, we can expand the sd card capacity to that of a flash drive. or maybe we can expand the RAM by replacing it with a flash drive? Anyway, maybe an expert can give his 2 cents on this.

SDIO Card for GENE

Hello,
Can anyone please tell me wheter the any SDIO card will work for GENE or not?
Also i want to know that, do they come with some memory or not?
I don't there is any SD card given bundled with the device. You may however get one for very cheap prices ~<10 dols.
Hi Carty, i think r.pitalia wanted to ask another thing.
The question is; Does any SDIO card ( For instance SDIO GPS receiver or SDIO Wi-Fi ) work with GENE?
Besides, The SDIO cards do not have extra memory in itself as far as i know however there is a slot for microSD memory cards on some of SDIO Cards such as this following products; http://www.spectec.com.tw/gps.htm
