Hi guys, I've noticed a weird bug on my SPV M3100, whenever I enable Wi Fi using using AEBplus toggle on one of the hardware keys (in my case double press of my comm button I can toggle Wi Fi On/Off) when i re- wake the phone from standby i.e. pressing power button the display stays off , the led still flashes but nothing happens, I have to do soft reset to wake the phone.
However I don't get this problem when I enable Wi - Fi through the comm manager menu, strange fault. has anyone come across this fault when using 3rd party button re-mapping programs to toggle Wi - Fi with hardware keys?
It seems like it's a common problem with the Hermes.
I've had that behavior with and without AE Buttons.
There are many threads discussing this with no apparent fix yet...
Peace!

Hi again, I've just installed mortSaver primarily for turning off the screen but keeping my lecture video audio still running in the background. I've used this excellent application on all my other phones no problem. However on my M700 the buttons dont seem to work ie.Deactivation using assigned button (button 1) + button 2 absolutely does not work. Even using only button 1 for activation AND deactivation doesnt work (deactivation part). Have to get out of it by the escape sequence (2 presses of the power button within 10secs). However this ends up soft-resetting the unit (proper power off).
Any ideas on what to do or alternative applications to deactivate the screen but keep the video running in the background please?

I used MortSaver on my Jam, which was running WM2003. When I upgraded to a Jamin, I couldn't get it to work anymore. I haven't even tried it with my Trinity because I just assumed that Mortsaver doesn't work properly in WM5. I think it is quite an old version.
Hello,
Mortsaver works fine on my Dopod D810.
Here is a list of my options:
Deactivation:
Screen off timeout: 10
Power off timeout: 10
1st Button: Button 1
2nd Button: None
Show countdown after call: ticked
Other application buttons: unticked
Power
Turn off device: both unticked
This works fine when i'm using mortplayer in the background to listen to music (to unlock press power then voice command button). If this fails you might want to try downloading the latest version from the authors website.
Problem :hardware keyboard down-right key (o) behaves as Commmanager button.
Firstly sorry if this has been asked/reported before but i didn't know the name of the hard keyboard button name to do a search.
The last few days I have this kind of strange problem:
The bottom left key in my Wizards hardware keyboard (circle button : O ) has this behaviour :
1. It does what is normal to do (like pressing shift)
2. Immidiatelly it behaves like the Comm Manager button (the upper right hardware key of the wizard).
The effect is that whenever I try to put a symbol (when I use the hard keyboard) I open the app that the Comm manger key is assinged to.
I have the WM5 faria ROM & AEKeyboard. I also don't think that smartkey or AEKeyboard are responsible for this.
I fear that this might be a hardware problem & also I don't want to do a Hard reset without a good reason..
Just posted here to see if someone can give me a clue.
Thanks in advance

I had a similar problem to yours, i have windows mobile 6 on my 8125/wizard, and for the longest time(since i bought it on ebay for its working parts), none of the hardware buttons did what they were supposed to(except the power button). End call button would make the pda open up the dialer and give a message in a notification bubble that said "waiting" followed by a sound and "that feature is not supported". The talk(green answer key) NEVER answered the phone, it opened a totally random program installed somewhere on the phone, whether it was internet explorer, the comm manager, outlook, calendar or contacts. So i relied on using the touchscreen buttons.
None of these problems went away until i got fed up with the thing and left it and its battery un-inserted for a week while i used my trusty unlocked nokia 6010 which i still love because it is phone and a very good one!
I put my battery back in my 8125, fired her up and after charging her i put my sim card back in, and went to answer a call using the "talk" button without even realizing it actually did what it was supposed to do. I hung up using the end call hardware button, then used the talk button to call the person i was talking to earlier! It was like it was never misbehaving at all!! Crazy devices...
I recently upgraded to wm6.Since doing so anytime I press the on/off button the phone turns of the ringer and goes to vibrate . Also my comm button no longer works. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated
not sure what wm6 rom your using? but, go to settings>buttons and remap them to what u want. Also, looks like you created a duplicate thread on the mobile 6 section? You should close one of these.
No mapping is available for the on /off button that I can find. The comm button i can map but thats it. Rom version 3.62.502.3 radio1.54.07.00
Any help as this is a real pain.
hmmm...is the 'ringer' in the comm mgr set to vibrate?
When this unit is in standby. 1st push of on button to turn on switches on vibrate. when unit returns to standby. Next push of on button takes of vibrate and the ringer comes back on.So every push of on/off button either switches off vibrate or on when in standby.Reverse of current setting.
I would try a different rom and see if that fixes it. Could be mapping issues. Sounds funny though.
I'm using the latest Cingular / AT&T upgraded ROM (Build 18128.0.4.4). When I receive a phone call and use volume control scroll wheel on the side, the phone keys (red and green phone keys on the front of the phone) stop working. Only a reboot or reset fixes the issue. Not only the phone keys stop working, all the keys surrounding the joystick (such as the ok and windows keys, etc) stop working. Touchpad keys keep working though.
The same issue happens when I'm using any application and receive a phone and accept the call using the phone button while still in the middle of the application. This problem is consistently repeatable.
Anyone experience such an issue or has any idea what the solution could be?
Thanks in advance
When I engage the native device lock on my HD I find that the volume buttons are still operable! Is this just a problem with my device or has anyone else experienced this.
Also does anyone have a solution to this annoyance that does not involve installing S2U2 (even though this program does render the volume buttons inoperable) or similar?
Can anyone confirm that their Touch HD locks the volume buttons when key locked please?
Same thing here
I can confirm the "bug".
Yup, same on mine here!
Same here - very annoying fault/bug!
mine is ok, vol buttons do not work when the device is locked.
Did you try using your vol button in sleep mode (screen off) or just lock mode?
Same here and it's driving me mental
Have compare the menus on this to the other HTC devices and found that the Lock Buttons Setting is not on this one.
I dont know why they have left this out but at a guess that because of the new 3.5mm jack they are allowing for people using as a walkman.
I accidentally found a solution to it here
Many thanks Prof!
"they are allowing for people using as a walkman." That must be why David!
