Axim and Ipaq bluetooth multitasking - JAM, MDA Compact, S100 General

Is is possible to multitask in bluetooth in the new Dell Axim or HP Ipaq, i.e. use a bluetooth keyboard while at the same time to surf the net(using another phone as a wireless modem for the PDA)?

HP 6315 BT Headset problems

I own a XDA, MDA II and a HP6315. I've given my MDA II to my wife cause I bought the 6315 when it came out.
I'm here to tell you the at the bluetooth stack may have more function, but the headset profile sucks. 40 % failier rate getting the BT Headset to pick up during an incomming call. It's like the BT Headset and the HP 6315 come disconnected during a period of inactivity.
I think everyone should be aware of this before making their decision to move over to a HP6315. Unless they find a fix for the problem, you'd be trading a BT Stack that works 90% of the time in the headset profile for one that works 60% of the time.
Oh.. And if you get it to work, MS Voice Command doesn't pick up very well over the BT Headset on the 6315. It's not there yet.
If it wasn't for a full LDS Scripture set (www.yanceyware.com) and Microsoft Money (syncable) I'd be using a Symbian Phone today. No BT Profile problems there. Plus there's GPS apps for my BT GPS on them.
I have to say that I have not had the same experience with my h6315 and SE HBH-30 BT headset. I have been quite pleased with the performance of the headset profile - it performs better than I expected - and better than that on my i-mate.
I agree w/Brosenow. The BT reliability on the 6315 has been FAR superior than my xdaII.
I used the same headset, my hbh-65 on both & the soundquality is better too...not to mention if the pairing is dropped during a conversation(which happens on both), the 6315 at least retrieves the conversation immediately & my xda2 never did that...Then there's the lack of ability of switching manually from headset to phone on xda2 which was a "cluge" ...then throw in BT "audio", handsfree profile, PAN, PORT...it's really no contest in BT alone even tho everything else in the xda2 hardware (screen, proc.) is nicer...guess I shouldn't have dropped it then, huh?

Bluetooth on the MDA

Does someone know which BT profiles on the MDA have been tested and have been found working. I dont need the list HTC is advertising, I know the MDA should support about all BT profiles.
I personally can only manage to get the serial port profile working.
A connection with my Logitech Headset does not work. The MDA does not even find the Headset.
Also BT Activesync with my WinXP-SP2 machine does not work.
So, who has tested and verified the MDA on BT profiles?
I got the Logitech Handset working. I just forgot how to put in pairing mode, reading the manual can work miracles.

Widcomm Desktop MS Bluetooth

I hope one of the gurus here can help me with this one:
- I have the O2 Exec, with MS BT stack
- I have the Logitech MX 5000 BT Laser Desktop (http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/CA/EN,CRID=2158,CONTENTID=10776)
- this comes with a choice of the Widcomm stack(which they recommend), or you can use the MS BT stack
I have set up BT Activesync using the MS BT stack, without a hitch, but would like the extra goodies that the Widcomm stack offers.
What I want to know is:
- can I use the Logitech Widcomm stack (which requires that I disable the MS BT stack on my pc) and still set up Activesync with my Exec?
- Or, because the Exec uses MS BT, must I set up all peripherals to use MS BT to get them to communicate?
I have checked Logitech's support forum and done an extensive search here, but I can't find a definitive answer:
- if your HTC devices uses a particular BT stack, must you use that stack on your pc , as well?
Thanks in advance...
Huisie, you *should* be able to use any bluetooth stack on the desktop.
Just ansure that you have a incoming BT port set up, point Activesync to that incoming port, and set up a partnership.
Lekker, ou seun, dankie vir die help daarmee!
So, snorbaard, I can run the Widcomm or MS BT stack on the desktop, but I'm limited to the ...uh, limited...MS BT on the Exec.
Still, I believe that Widcomm doesn't do hands-free, is that right?

HP FA303 - just for iPAQs or "real" BT A2DP headph

I am a bit confused on what these HP headphones can or cannot do. When I look on the HP page, they are touted as the bluetooth headphones for iPAQs. There is no mention of them bing standard bluetooth headphones that can be used with any bluetooth A2DP capable device. I had assumed they were some proprietary profile that HP did on top of BT.
On the other hand, I found the same HP FA303 mentioned all over the place in these forums as being able to work on A2DP with Wizard and simlar devices.
What is the deal here? Are the HP FA303 standard BT headphones? If they are, and they can work with both iPAQs and all other BT devices, then I wonder how they work with iPAQ 4150. I have been looking all over the place for an update to the iPAQ 4150 that would make it A2DP capable. All the forums claim that such a patch is non-existant.
I suppose the bottom line question is - if I get HP FA303, will I be able to use it with my iPAQ 4150, with my TMO MDA (with A2DP patch) and with my PC with BT USB stick.
Thanks a lot
They're the real McCoy with full AVRCP support when used with WMP on a A2DP enabled wizard. Awsome fidelity and volume too. They pair well and are easy to use. The FA303s are the same exact headset as the Logitech MP3 bluetooth and iPOD headsets btw. I absolutely love mine.
Don't install the included software on your Wizard, its not needed but to make it work with your iPAQ, you'll need to install it. The software actually adds the A2DP stack + AVRCP to supported iPAQ devices. I suspect that once that software is installed, your iPAQ will be able to pair and use any BT stereo headset.
Can you use these headphones as a handsfree as well, or are they only for listening to music?
They're only for listening to music unfortunately...

No PAN connection in wm6

I habe a t mobile sda II running wm6 and there is no bluetooth pan option. I currently have bluetooth built into my router and I can pair but I cant use it to connect to the web.
