Then make sure that in Settings->Connections->Connections->Advanced->Network Selection top list reads 'My ISP'.

Wireless Network Settings for MDA Vario (T-Mobile Wizard) ??

Hi all,
Could you please help how to set up wireless connection for the Wizard. I've tried myself but found it so complicated and entangled.
1. The internet connection works fine whenever I plug the Wizard to my laptop. Obviously it then connects to the Internet through my Laptop.
2. When the Wizard is off-hooked, it shows that it can detect my home wireless network and in the Wireless LAN section it shows that the connection is established. However, when I open Internet Explorer it usually starts with saying "Connecting to GPRS". Only when GPRS cannot get connected, because I don't use it, IE starts connecting to the wireless network and browsing.
So my questions are:
1. How can I configure the Wizard so that it can start connecting to my Wireless network without attempting the GPRS connection?
2. I find a list of many networks obviously set up as default by the supplier (T-Mobile) in the Configure Wireless Network section. How can I delete them so that Wizard shows only available networks? There's a "Add New" option, but I cannot find "Delete" anywhere.
3. In the Connections section, I find "T-Mobile Internet" and "My Work Network" settings. In Advance -> Network Management section, I find "Programs that automatically connect to the Internet should connect using:" then a list of networks. Can you please explain what this does and if I could add the settings of my home wireless network to this section.
Some Newbie questions, please don't mind if they seem silly. Your help is very much appreciated.

Please help i need WIFI help for xda mini s !!!

Hi all I am a new member and have spent many an hour looking through these forums to help solve the ‘dark art’ of WIFI connections!
So far I have had some success using this forum. I am able to browse the internet using active-sync.
However when I try to go wireless I have no luck. All my settings are correct (MAC address, ip address, WEP code, SSID name etc) and I have got to the point where it says I am ‘connected’ to my wireless network but I am still unable to browse the internet.
I am running ‘network magic’ to organise my network but even this does not find the xda when ‘connected’.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Same problem
I have the same problem so I am adding myself too. Any help?
When you connect to the network did you select 'The internet' or 'Work' under 'This network connects to'?
This setting must match the one under Settings->Connections->Connections->Advanced->Network Selection->Programs that connect to the internet
'The internet' = 'My ISP'
'Work' = 'My work network'
Done that and....
I have done that and I think I browse the net via my laptop when I sync the Mini S via Bluetooth. I think I do because I don't see a mini G icon on the active synch logo. Am I right? Now I have to purchase a router to chek my WiFi.
Yes, if your device is synced to a PC that connection takes priority over WiFi and GPRS.
Thanks.,
Thanks for the clarification.

Connections - Some Help Required

Guys,
I'm hoping somebody with some time can just help me out here. My Touch HD is on Vodafone (UK) and I have some issues with connectivity.
I have a home wireless network, along with "Contract Internet" provided by Vodafone. If I start by telling you what I'm after. I basically want all my applications to use my "Contract Internet" network (GPRS/EDGE/HSDPA) by default, providing that there is NO active Wifi connection or USB connection. If there is, it is to use that.
Now the problem I have is that the only way I could ensure that my device connected to a) my home resources and shares (pc's and printers) and b) connect through my wireless router for gateway access to the internet (without the net attempting to launch GPRS connection) was to set both "Programs that automatically connect to the internet....." and "Programs that connect to a private network...." connection networks (Start, Settings, Connections, Networks, Network Management) to display "My Work Network" - this seems to allow that....however, when not connected to wifi, the GPRS or Contract Internet connection launches fine, but doesn't allow access to lots of applications which normally would utilise the network....only the internet works. Windows Live, RDP, you name it.....it doesn't work....unless I switch back the "Programs that automatically connect to the internet....." connection to "Contract Internet"
Ideas...help...please!
Cheers in advance
**bump** Please - at my wits end!
