Greetings to all,
Right now i have imate K-Jam, i wanted to buy a new pocket pc phone which has a good processor and a good battery life and if there is a keypad than it would be way better, can anybody suggest which one will be best.
help
Greetings to all,
Can somebody help me with buying new phone of the specifications i said,
because i do not want to suffer later.
Samy you might want to move this thread to a move sensible location, not development.
If you're buying a HTC now I'd buy a Hermes, and did. I suggest waiting post New Year for new products therefore better offers, but for cpu and functionality that's my pick.
I'd recommend considering the Eten GloJob and other brands too.

HTC Universal is the best for me, but only after many hours of tweaking.
It's really a personal choice, depending of what type of activities you do with your PPC, and what are your priorities.
¨that type of question is invalid for just about every product in the world
maybe apart from sand
if there was a best car, toothbrush, pda, computer.
and the compatition could not make something as good they would make something with different features to get to a different market where they had a chance to reach top dog
so it depend on
you want keyboard
you want umts
you want gps
you want vga
you want small size
you want ........

HTC Artemis???
back
Greetings,
sorry i have posted this in the wrong section,
Vijay, i have seen eten glofish, but i cannot find glojob.
Htc artemis has a slow processor.
thankyou all for reply
It is GloFish, not GloJob. It was a semi-homonym.

Maybe you were thinking of something else when you typed GloJob!

Looks alot like a wizard gone through a minority report treatment

What's Win CE 5 Pro plus? Looks V3ed and as said Minority Report'd and something else...looks good but with ARM11 (no particular implementation named nor any clock speed given) and 1GB of Memory + full SD card usability, a TV out and WiBro, it sure as heck l ooks like an interesting device.
Interestingly enough two d pad layouts on the slide out keyboard so I hope the screen is sufficent for navigation.
It's also 1,000,000 times better looking than the Wizard, very sexy if you ask me.
Plus T-DMB for digital TV on the go, very nice indeed.
WVGA in a screen that small is hard to believe....
Still, very cool device. Much thinner than a Wizard. I'd buy one in a minute except for the fact that there's no d-pad unless you extend the kbd. Do you suppose d-pad functionality is somehow encompassed by the two buttons on the top and bottom? It almost looks like one does left-right and the other does up-down. I wonder how softkeys work.....
If they put a phone in it it would be worth a look at, who whats to carry two devices when you can have one, I think somebody forgot the phone part.
Looks trick though.

Not exactly; it seems designed for VoIP so I wouldn't exactly expect a GSM/CDMA/UMTS transciever in it. WiBro seems to be in there for that exact purpose.

HTC X7500 (Advantage) –Reviewed-
If you think this device is too big for a phone or if you are the guy who told me its one-handed use is terrible, please stand up. You are dismissed. You may go now. Thank you for your time.
Now for the rest of you, my intent in this review is to focus on the X7500’s usability.
There are really only two things about this device that make it different from other Windows Mobile devices. It has an 8gb hardrive, and most importantly it has a 5 inch screen. This is one of the most significant changes we have seen in a Windows Mobile device. There have been lots of innovative changes made to converged devices, but few in the area of mobile computing. With the X7500 I like to call it “non-desktop computing” The 5 inch screen enhances the viewing capabilities of Windows Mobile by leaps and bounds, as I will show later with screen shots and pictures.
Before I get too far into this review I want thank Paul and Igor of SuperiorGadgets for putting the device in my hands for a few days so I could review it.
The complete review is posted here:

Excellent review! I agree with nearly everything you stated. Thanks.
I love the color. The only reason I could consider giving back my Dopod U1000...
Radio
What's the phone signal like on the u1000? I had a universal qtek 9000 and the phone signal was always weak. I finally stop using it. The u1000 would have to have a good signal.

Hello, I know that not a htc pda, but that good too
I just bought it in ebay and I would like to give it at my father, but before I would like to upgrade very old winCE 2003 for a WM5 or 6, but my question is : Is it possible to take a rom loke faman rom and put it on this device.
Hope it will be good, because lot of new software don't work on this old platform.
Thanx for your answer
Simple answer: it probably won't work.
In my experience, ROMs are only usable on the device they were made for. I don't know Faman, but if he is on this site then he is probably cooking ROMs for HTC phones. You will do best to find a ROM that has been made for the Asus and trying to install that.
Thanx for your answer, I hope I will find rom for this device. Anothr question I bought window mobile 5 or 6 in a shop, is it possible to install it, or it is the same problem (wm for each device brand) ?
Thanx

Well I think it depends on the device and how old it is. If the device is vga or qvga. Post the name of your device and you can get a real answer!
The name of the device is in title ASUS MYPAL A716

i have been looking at phones and have come across the XDA EXEC.
i was wondering the rough price that i should expect to pay for it.
Also wondering if this is upgradable to have windows 6.5 on as that would be pretty awesome.
I also know this phone is old so would there be anything i need to do to update it and are there any good games for this phone?
Thanks

It will run a bit slow but acceptable, I am using it with no issues.
you can´t install Sense 2.1 or 2.5 it will simply won´t work on Uni.
But if you are looking for a faster ROM better try Tomal 8.2, 8.5 or 8.9 all in WM6.1
Good luck,
is their anyway to get a flash browser on this device as that would be the cherry on top.
again thanks fort he quick reply!
