I have just done interesting experiment.
1) using WinRAR I extract file nk.nbf from RUU_Charmer_1120223_11202110_11220_T-MobileUK_Ship.exe
2) using TyphoonNbfTool.exe I extract OS.n_d (57mb) from nk.nbf
3) using nbfdec.exe I encrypt OS.n_d to nk.nbf
4) using MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe I flash nk.nbf from step 3 to my Magician (QTEK S110)
5) MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe say - OK, BUT...
6) After soft-rests (and hard-resets), my Magician always returns to bootloader mode - Windows from Charmer do not start.
7) After all I flash 1.13 Magician ROM - all OK
Hi,
The devices might look the same but the hardware is completly different - the charmer has more in common with the wizard then the magician. There is no point whatsoever testing the charmer rom on the magician.

Only proceesor and ROM type/size different, not completly different.
OMAP and XScale Processor - both ARM architecture.
Modified Wizard Rom works on BlueAngel !!!
Unlikely to work unless Magician itself was a WM5.0 machine.
There's a Gigabyte WM 5.0 Mobile fone just released with a same CPU,same RAM and ROM as Magician.I think this is our last hope...
Hello I have trying to mod the Chamer rom whit hexeditor but no result.
The bigest problem is the Cpu ;/ I cant find the question how to mod the keys in rom ;/ if i'll find that so no problem.Only copy the bytes from Magician rom to Chamer rom and flash.The rom not a big problem.Teory says that when we start the windows vill be anavilible 64mb storage/program.

You can use "WM5 Edit ROM" (see http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=WM5EditROM)
and dumps all files from Charmer ROM (from OS.n_d file) , then cook new ROM.
may be we must change Magician bootloader to Charmer bootloader first?
may be mamaich can explain this?
change bootloader not needet to do. A have flash the magican whit Bigstorage solution ( the new rom is Wm05) But he dont whant to start.So a think that is cpu problem :/
you guys have to understand, that wm5 rom structure is totally different than wm2003.
For Himalaya, there was so called IPL and ROM image as two separate files, which you then put together.
you are missing IPL for magician, I guess.
If there is a single WM5 ROM build for Magician, even one, which doesn't work properly, then you can start thinking about "wm5 ROM edit" and using files from other devices.
don't even touch the bootloader. it has nothing to do with it. you will only PERMANENTLY break your beloved Magician...

Also is part of the reason why WM5 cant be released for the Magician not something to do with the DiskOnChip system? I read in the wiki that the Magian using an intel 64MB flash chip instead.
I for one would love to have WM5 for my jam, but I just cant see it happening Thats why I went out and got a charmer

You guys are doing a wrong research
Qtek S110 != MDA Compact 2 == HTC Charmer
Qtek S100 == MDA Compact == HTC Magician
You just said you used a Charmer rom on a S110.

qtek s110 have diferent display and some hardware ...... not ram only

I bought my MDA Compact III from Austria...i asked the girl from t-mobile to unlock the phone as I am from Romania...and she deblocked it and i use it now with Orange Romania...i can use it with all the networks...but i have A HUGE PROBLEM i don't know a word in german so can someone help me change the ROM..the updater always gives me Error 244 Invalid Model Id

you need to cid-unlock your machine in order to be able to flash other compatible roms, i.e. an english rom like tmouk or dopod p800w from the wiki.
afaik, from my own experience imeicheck.co.uk will help you in a zip, though charge you for it. see: http://www.imei-check.co.uk/c3unlock.php
are the only ones that can help momentarrily. the board though is working on other hopefull solutions, though cant say when its successfully done!
p.s.: the deblocking done by the sales lady only allows you to use another provider/sim than the tmobile ones!!!

I want to upgrade my HTC8125 from WM5.0 to WM6.0. It is already SIM/CID unlocked. I have checked the threads but unable to find. I don't know whether my mobile is G3 or G4 series, how to find that.
I have a set of WM6.0 and WM6.1, can I directly install the same in the mobile.

Well,if you don't know which DOC Chip version your phone is,whether its G3 or G4 ? How come you say its SIM/CID unlocked ? A G4 phone cannot be CID unlocked.Download WST_4.2.2 Tool and run it to know everything about the phone.
