So far I can only find the Today's Theme.

Hi - i know that there is a cab file in one of the Extended Roms for the Hermes. If you look on the Hermes Wiki and look at the Extended Roms section you should find it there.

Run the P_Generic_UI.CAB (This contains the Green UI for the Wireless Manager)
Run MT_PC_Hermes_Qtek_WWE_060621.CAB (This contains the Green HTC TyTN UI for Phone Dialer and Smart Dialer)

P_Generic_UI.CAB works fine on the Prophet. Comm Manager looks brilliant.
I now have the green HTC today theme, the WMP10 green theme and the Comm Manager theme.
I'll try the MT_PC_Hermes_Qtek_WWE_060621.CAB and let you know how it goes. [edit: IT WORKS TOO!]
Can't get it done
When I put P_Generic_UI.CAB in the temp folder and I run the
cab it extract 4 files:
1. ComManager.exe
2. Default.htm
3. Default1.gif
4. Space.gif
Where must I put these files ?????
Or do I have to run the cab file from another place ???

Have this site in my bookmarks for quite some time now, might be worth checking out. Although it doesn't include the commanager etc.
Personally I like this dialer more than the default one.

What you need to do is copy the cab file to your pocket pc and click on it. It will install automatically.
The dialer is no problem, altough It doens't have the SmartDial yet..
But the Comm Manager doensn't work for me, it shows "Comm Manager supports 7 functions at most!".
Anybody any idea?

(When looking in the CAB, it seems to contain graphics for smartdial, so it should be supported..)
ok i found a way to fix the comm manager, download ftp://xda:[email protected]/Hermes/Extended_ROMs/JASJAM_1.31.305.103_ExtROM_Telstra.zip and run "Default_PP_Comm_Manager_10300.cab" and your comm manager is back blue (worked for me)
Didn't get any error msg when trying to install the green Comm Manager, the installation was "successful".
But, it did not change my Comm Manager at all..
Really hope someone finds a solution for bringing back smartdial, as I really want it (without hard resetting)!
EDIT: After deleting the files phcanhtc.dll, phcanOverbmp.dll, phcanrc.dll and phcanrc.dll.0409.mui in the Windows folder I got it working with smartdial.
Though, I lost the green security pad - will continue to investigate..
Be sure to backup the files before deleting them, the phone will try to restore them with the original ones, but just in case - take a backup!
I've just installed the latest Qtek ROM with AKU 2.20.
After that I was busy creating a kind of HTC Green Conversion Pack
What does it do:
- new splashscreen
- replace Comm Manager (probably only for the 7 button's version of the Comm Manager!)
- remove carrier logo from the dialpad
- replace dialer (no smartdialer yet!)
- puts HTC Green today theme in Windows folder
- installs Windows Media Player Green Theme (have to select it yourself though!)
- PocketInformant theme is standard "Nature Color Theme" therefore it's not included.

You should be able to view SMS messages larger than normal. There is also an option to reply or call directly from this screen

Problem is however that there seems to be a file called "Scenarios" that does not work on my Wizard, but it's loaded on startup. I can't seem to delete this 'cause it's a part of the phone program
Maybe anyone has a solution for this? Tried to open it with WinCE Cab Manager v1.1. But It doesn't seem to be able to read it..

Attached - simply repacked. You should be able to open with WinCE Cab Manager v1.1

I already found a way to work around it
This is what I did to make this work:
- Delete Scenarios.lnk from Start Menu
- Change the following registry values to '0'
HKLM\ControlPanel\ETEN\ScenariosOption\
Enable=0 ShowIcon=0
- Delete Scenarios.exe from the Windows directory.

i have installed ZoomSMS but it dosnt "pops up" if SMS comes in. On my Eten M600 with ZoomSMS buildin the new SMS pops up and i can read it without any tab on the screen. On my Orbit2(HTC Touch Cruise) i hve only the zoom sms symbol in the screen wenn sms received.

1. Rebuilt from M$ dogfood build packages, didnt modify anything with rgucomp
2. Added Total Commander,CeleTask, Tao 10, STK, USSD, T9 (tegic) russian and english
3. Removed Catalog, ApproveUpdate, AutoUpdate,Sqm,Sql server mobile, WinLive (you can find a cab or make one), Office (there are cabs with office for wm5 ripped from new builds floating)
4. Coredll 5.2.1235 (well, i am going to port a newer build later), changed compression of imgfs to LZX (os image is 27 mb, you can flash with old wm5 spl or with new from wm6, if you use new spl, type in mtty before loading rom)

you should now have more storage
5. Camera works with pictures and videos, if you push camera button, it opens pictures and videos
6. Removed HTC debug apps (except Registry Editor)

9. Security Policy - Security Off - no confirmations on cab and exe launch

I tried on my SP3, it works like a charm
it works also on amadeus but the player buttons don't work... for other languages you can use the wm5 langpacks of ronswens!!!
EDIT: no camera-app, no mms AND sms and it runs slowlier than wm5... it's a pity...

Many thanks for this new ROM. Most important question: how stable is it? The WM6 ROM in the 'WM6 for Feeler' thread (originally created by a person with nick name squllcx) is very unstable, hence pretty much useless.
is this for xphone2? sorry for not recognizing the generic name anyway, its fully working? e.g. joystick, performance and multimedia issues?

wm5 spl is the same as wm6 you flash you phone with mtty l c:\\wm6.bin

Use WinRar to extract the files rename the extracted file (os.bin) to wm6.bin and use mtty to flash on your phone

yes, you can flash your amadeus but you can't use your playerkeys. in mtty you can select your flashdevice and your keyboard, but i don't try it. use the help in mtty...

If I could just find my bl**dy USB cable then I'd give it a blast!
it works just great!! The only problem is that the camera button doesn't do anything, you have to access the camera via the pictures icon on the start menuand the camera doesn't look as great as before... but still usable, this is not a problem for me because I just don't use the camera.
No office, no windows live messenger... doesn't matter because I have the cab files
Smartsnes, the super nintendo emulator doesn't work properly if installed.
Another issue... when the screen goes all black becaue of inactivity, they only key able to bring the backlight on is the red button to hang up the calls.
Somebody said that you can install the ronswens WM5 language packs, DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!! It will mess up your WM6.
If you guys know a solution for the camera button (and if you have a better camera software) I would appreciate if you can post it here.

Op... I lie...
I shut the phone down and booted it up again and it did the 3 min wait and then no service thing again.
Had this same problem with another ROM as well.
It can still see the network, but for some reasion it thinks it's no longer connected. It's strange given that it was connected just fine before I re booted it.....

They are already made into PNG files, all you would need to do is rename them into the name already being used by your Startup Image.
Then copy it and place it into your \Windows Directory in your phone.
Now every time you restart your phone you will have a new custom Startup Image.

All you would need to do is extract the images from the ZIP and copy them to your respective HTC Home Icon Folder in your phone.

If it's built in then you should be fine by just installing the CAB.
You only get a problem by trying to override a custom Comm Manager with another Cabed one.
More noob questions because i had problems with diamond dialers/skins:
1. is this just replacing my "old" graphics or is this a complete application ?
2. and will the language change to english ?

At this moment I don't recommend using the Diamond Dialers if you have Video Calling. None of those dialers support Video Calling.
But I will work on that later. The finished product will be a skin that will just replace the images on your phone.

If it's built into your ROM then all you would have to do is just install the CAB.

I got myself a nice shining Diamond last week, and I wasn't very pleased with the battery icon and the G, H, E and 3G icons in the taskbar. That allied with the fact that i can't get the percentage value for the battery in the power settings, lead me to create something that would look a bit better, and give me more accuracy about the battery.
So here it is! My first contribution to the Diamond community (it may also apply to Raphael).

If your device is running an official ROM you'll will also have to install the sdkcerts.cab for this to work (it's possible that some cooked ROMs may need this as well).

I wasn't able to create a working cab to provide an automated installation(since it's replacing a system file, the cab may need a setup.dll file to make it fully work).
However I'm providing a manual installation. It's a bit more work but I think it's worth it.
Download FInix_VGA_Battery_and_Network_Icons_DLL_and_REG.zip.
Inside you'll find the phcanOverbmp.dll, which you have to copy to Windows folder in your device (using a file explorer like Total Commander or Resco explorer), and FInix VGA Battery and Network Icons.reg which you have to import with a registry editor in your device (if you don't have one, you can use Dotfred taskmanager with registry editor included).
After this, restart your device to apply the changes.
I'm sorry for all the trouble.
On further note, all Chefs are welcome to cook it into your ROMs if you find it usefull. (Credits will be appreciated )

I've uploaded a cab and a zip version, just in case the cab doesn't work.
Someone asked about making the font bigger. Not a possibility using that font, because i only have a 32 pixel width to work on. And I really like it how it is.
How to make your own set of Battery Icons:
You'd need some programs, and of course, the dll.
Unsigner -to remove the digital signature from the dll.
Reshack / PE Explorer / Restorator - resource editor to extract/replace the icons inside the dll
iconFX or any other icon editor (GIMP can also handle .ico files) - to edit/create icons
Multiple file Signer - to digitally re-sign the finished dll.
That's it!
Uninstalling:
After removing my customized dll, to fully uninstall and have the old battery icon back you just have to edit the following reg entry:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\security\ResOver\Bitmaps]
"BatteryIconLevels"=dword:65 (hexadecimal) or 101 (decimal) -> dword:15 (hexadecimal) or 21 (decimal)

Nice Idea, I also think the original Batery Icon isn't telling as much as I want it to do.
I've tried your App but the FInix.. cab reports a problem while installing on my Diamond.
Any Hints?

Changed the installation method to avoid errors. Check post #1.
I installed the cert file and overwrote the .bmp but the REG file wont install...

NOTE: LANDSCAPE MODE (Old School Landscape Theme by Giannis86.zip ) is ONLY for the TOUCH PRO, unless your Diamond is modded to work with Landscape!
Instructions:
1. Unpack
2. Copy the Manila files to your phone
3. Disable TF3D (Settings-->Today-->Items)
4. Open Total Commander & Move/Copy the manila files to the Windows directory on your phone (overwrite if prompted)
5. Enable TF3D

If I do overwrite...this means....my original; TOuch flow 3D file will disappear? and if I want to change back to original theme....I need Hard reset?
No they wont.

not true.
Total Commander will overwrite the original manila files without prompted. if you already have modded icons then it will ask to overwrite (hence what i said above)
so in other words, the original file WILL get replaced.
HOWEVER, you should not worry.if you delete those manila files from the windows directory, the ROM will automatically restore the original file.
i only got 2 of the 8 icons in landscape mode, not sure why? Oso pls advise how I can get the calendar tab.
sounds weird..
try disabling tf3d first and copy the files again.
enable tf3d again...
if that doesnt work, try a soft reset.

It work now as I hv installed the vodafone red theme previously. and now I resintalled bk to default. Thanks again. I can installed the call history and calendar but it doesn't appear your icons. Please advise
i am assuming that you installed the call history and calender after you installed my icons
That would lead to my files for CH and calender being replaced by the standard icons
So in other words:
if you have Call history & Calender ALREADY installed:
Just copy paste my files
or
if you want call history and my icons, install call history first and install my icons afterwards

I think it is 42d367fd_manila...but I dun know how to change the icon with ur other invention

I included a backup of the files just in case
