sync (divx) movies with windows media player incl. conversion - JAMin, XDA Neo, S200 General

I used to do that before i reïnstalled my pc. I found it very handy coz it automatically synced movies with activesync. After reïnstallation i somehow can't get it reconfigured. WMP tries to convert but then fails...
Anybody that can help me or has the same experience ?

Sounds like you have a missing codec....

Real Podcasting and Vidcasting solution.

Hi i would like to use my Wizard as my main Media Device, i have an old ipod mini but i would like to have the same features as the ipod for podcast on my wizard.
As of now i use Juice (former Ipodder) and sync my podcasts with windows Media Player ---> this soulution stinks, ints buggy as hell and far to slow, the podcast in the media library get updated far to slowly, an sometimes it misses new entries...
I would like a program that sits on my desktop and has the ability to sync podcast seamlessly with my wizard and vidcasts to i can`t just sync the folder were i download all that stuff becouse it de vidcast ar far to big for my one gigger miniSD so i need a programm that takes the .avi (divx) or MPG4 and recodes them for my wizard!
PLEASE help me i am getting so pissed of by Windows Media Player
When you find a solution, let me know! I would like exactly the same thing. I am currently doing similiar to you, downloading podcasts/vidcasts with PodNova and then synching them using Windows Media Player. The problem I face is that WMP doesn't support m4v files, so I can't even get those files to sync using the WMP auto playlist synching. Boooo.
Have you tried Skookum Subscriber?
I've know of two programs for podcatching directly on the PPC:
Skookum Subscriber is in beta and looks like it has some potential, but truth be told I haven't tried it out yet:
http://www.skookummobile.com/index.html
There's also SmartFeed. I've used it for about a month now and it's OK but the UI is a bit wonky: It doesn't work with the keyboard on the SX66, you can't move between podcasts using the navigation pad, there's no way (that I've found) to select multiple podcasts for deletion, and after deleting a podcast nothing is selected by default which forces you to tap on another podcast to do anything.

Windows Mobile Media Player problem...

Hi All,
I have recently been getting an error message in Windows Mobile Media Player (Windows Media Player) on my XDA Mini S saying;
"No combination of intermediate filters could be found to make the connection"
And i cant seem to figure out why. I cannot play any videos or sound clips on my mobile, and i cannot find an alternative way to view video or sound files on my XDA.
Is there any chance anyone knows where i can download a new versionof Windows media player for my Windows mobile 5 device? or does anybody have any resolution for this?
Thanks for your time
I do not think there is a newer version to this problem but I was recently having trouble with WMP and I downloaded Pocket Player and have really liked it.
Doesn't seem to have that many bugs, has a today plugin (if wanted), is quite easy to use - maybe give it a try!
Where did you download Pocket Player from? and was it free etc... because i have searched on www.pocketgear.com and it is $19.99
To be honest, i really wasnt planning on paying for a Media player, however, if i cannot get the media player on my phone fixed, i will have no choice!
Thanks
Have you tried cold booting? Or TCPMP?
Yes PocketPlayer does cost you; I understand not wanting to pay for a media player especially since one that is supposed to work comes with the phone - i just couldn't deal with WMP.
Try TCPMC - its free and it may not have all the organizational features of WMP, but does play DivX files

M4A-Playback and Geotagging

Hi!
2 short questions, which I couldnt solve on my X1:
1.) Is it possible to play m4a-Files? Die Media-Panel recognizes them, but cant play them. I know from WM6.1 on, the necessary codecs should be included in WM itself. Did Sony Ericsson took them out for some reason? Can we put them back in? I'd really love to use TFL3D's Audioplayer with all of my music.
2.) I want to use the device with geotagging. Is it also possible (bcz its manufactured from HTC) like on the Diamond to activate this via Reg-Hack? I didnt find the exact option, so would be nice if someone with more experiance could check. If not, are there any 3rd-party-solutions for this problem?
Thanks already for every answer.
*bump*
for the 2nd question I found a 3rd-party-solution with locrGPS.
But what about non-encrypted ACC-Playback? Anyone knows any solution???
mmh problem still exists here with R2, anybody found a solution? searched forums as well as with google but found no solution though
mp4a format: I copy my music files directly from my iTunes folder on my Mac and they play perfectly with Coreplayer and also by the media experience panel on my X1.
Geotagging: the new R3A camera CAB (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=499154) supports geotagging.
"mp4a format: I copy my music files directly from my iTunes folder on my Mac and they play perfectly with Coreplayer and also by the media experience panel on my X1."
well for that most part that works for me too
but m4a files bought at itunestore as itune plus
well all of it is that these days
then it don't work in media panel
not sure if it's because itune plus songs
are 256K/bit sec

Subscription Music

I posted over at PPCGeeks but haven't had any hits yet. I am on the latest Juicy8 ROM for my TP and Love it! However, I have lost the ability to sync my subscription music from Napster. The device doesn't even show up in the Napster software when connected to Activesync. I have searched everywhere but have found no solution. All other functions seem to be fine. It will show up in Windows Media Player and will sync non-DRM music just fine. Do any Chefs or devs out there have any ideas?
I am a paying Napster to Go subscriber so, I'm not trying to do anything illegal just want to be able to sync my subscription music.
Thanks in advance!!
The only media players that ive seen that can synchronise with WM6 Devices are Windows Media Player, Winamp and Songbird.. if you really want to sync music to your device easily then stick to Windows Media Player or Songbird.
I can sync with Windows Media Player, just not DRM'd tracks from Napster or any other DRM'd files. It was all working very well under WM6.5 on Juicy7 ROM. Thats why I believe it's something in the DRM. I have never heard of Songbird but I see that it supports WMDRM so, I'll give it a try and report back.
Edit: Can't sync with Songbird. Doesn't recognize the device. I wonder if it could be a MTP issue? Might be unlikely though because windows media player sees the device just fine.
FWIW I can sync my DRM'd subscription zune music to my Omnia using Windows Media Player. Not sure what type of DRM Napster uses, but I thought WM5/6 devices were "Play4Sure" compliant....
They are. I was able to sync with windows media player on all of the earlier (prior to Juicy8) builds and on pretty much every other ROM I have tried. But Juicy8 is so darn goood I cant bring myself to part ways with it. Now it's like a quest or sommething, to resolve the issue. Are you GSM or CDMA?
CDMA -Verizon Wireless Omnia i910. There a couple quirks, like if I sync an album to the phone, then flash a new ROM, it won't play. I can't just re-sync, I get this "no sync rights" error in Windows Media Player. To get around this, I have to delete the album from the library on the PC and re-download it from Zune to sync it again.
For that issue, have you tried deleting the WMDRM folder on your storage card or wherever you store your music? When I could connect after a flash I would delete that folder and then remove the sync relationship in Windows Media Player. Create a new sync partnership in WMP and then re-sync. WMP should re-download your Sync rights. At least that would work on the Touch Pro and Napster.
Other files you may need to delete: (they will be recreated upon sync)
Application Data\Microsoft\Media Player\XMEMediaLibrary.mlb
Storage Card\MSMETADATA\XMEMediaLibrary.mlb
As always YMMV...
I've just tried dumping a stock diamond rom and then re-cooking it unchanged using ervius' latest kitchen (as I was planing to slowly upgrade the SYS/XIP and packages to try and see when it stopped working) and it doesn't work straight away.
Interestingly it looks like the Juicy 8 roms are also built using a PlatformRebuilder based kitchen.

I sent a PM to Bepe and am waiting for a reply. I was reading his thread and there was talk about just leaving out some files "not needed" to run a ROM. I wonder if there is something needed that just got "left out"?
