Hi everyone
I am looking for any software which count my out going sms
can anyone help me?
Thanks in advance
i thought normally there would be a count of SMSes at the bottom of the sent folder.
Smaato Cost can do this. But I don't like their strange UI which makes their app somewhat sluggish.... but the features are nice. And you can define different targets with different SMS costs ...
pocketAlarm also can count SMS, but there you can't track if it counted correctly also there is no way to define different costs for different target numbers. And I don't like their today plugin as it resized very often for me... and the whole app is too all-in-one for my taste.
As far as I read here, DKToday should also do the job, but showed some problems on Windows Mobile 2005 ... battery drain afair.
Cheers,
-mARKUS
Thank you Mbirt
let me try these soft.w
thank you very much
Hello
Look at the link, the software is called calltimeapp.
I use this software, and this is what you search.

1. There are the networks for Germany hardcoded. No others possible (from looking at the XML file.)
2. No English translation.
3. Looks like you can't define different SMS-costs per target network.

Actually I dont need cost function,I only need sms counter nothing else,a software which counts my all out going sms
MBirth
I am using DKToday and its doing well, can you tell me how to reset sms counter?
Oh sorry yes the sw is only in German, and for German providers,
but i think this is not a problem,if you want to use the sms counter.
I use this sw only as sms counter,
and it works fine, i dont use the cost function.
I had found this one, but i haven´t tested it:

If you tested it, please write a report. Thanks

Based of the IIWPO solution initially meant for Wallaby devices (see http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=2526), I created a customizable installer for Himalaya:
See the Wiki page on IIWPO

Hopefully IIWPO suprises a lot of thiefs!!!!!
This is way too cool! I really love this software. I hope never to have to rely on it but just to know its there will make me sleep better. Thanks.
Wow!
The link doesn't work, but... there is or could you do something like that for the PDA2K?
Thanks!

Edsub,
I am wondering if the already excellent IIWPO could be further enhanced by a simple but witty add-on. I am imagining the capability to receive a Kill-Signal via SMS. If all attemps to recover the phone fails because the person who holds it has not put in a full & proper owner name + address we still have a phone number right? Therefore we can send an SMS to the phone at will. If IIWPO listens for a specific sms subject line then we could instruct it to disable the phone in some fashion that can be reversed and display a message to this end "tell" the thief to return the phone no questions asked etc. If still no luck then we could send a signal forever killing the phone. Am I watching too many spy movies? ;-)
Hope you like the idea. Sounds fun to me. Regards
I like the idea  , but since am not a CE developer (and I did not develop IIWPO either, just put the parts that were there together for use on a Himalaya) I have no idea whether or not this is possible.
Maybe any of the real xda-developers see a possibility here :?:

This is possible, and was used on an HP Jornado 928 ...
On this handset, a simple SMS containing a specific codeword or PIN would 'lock' the handset so that it could not be used. Quite useful and as far as I know unique to the HP Jornado 928.
Anyone know any different ?
Cheers

wow!! this would be great for the PPC! ive tried something like this in my symbian NOKIA 6600! and its very useful!! if you change the sim the phone will automatically send a message to your predefined numbers containing some info on the current location of your phone... and if you send a code to it thru SMS it will lock up and it cant be used unless you flash it or something.. i bet the PPC version is even greater!! cant wait for a full version!

I would like the facility to electrocute the new "owner" through the ear when he makes a call, 50,000 volts would be fine. Or maybe a spring bolt that would activate and shatter his jaw.
Perhaps the local police station...

My wife lost her handphone to some dishonest fella who picks it up and perhaps remove the SIM/off the HP.
Perhaps we can have it SMS your selected police station on startup and replay an SMS with your customised message:
"Yeah baby! I've stolen this handphone and there is NOTHING that you bloody incompetent slobs can do about it! <vulgarities applied here>!"
<repeat 100 times>
In my country, we can have different numbers for neighbourhood police post. The SMS will be repeated as a robotic voice message to the LAND phone as well.
I can at least ensure that the message does not go into a generic 911 number.

well that is entirely possible!!! and that is a damn good idea you have there!
hey will this work on a WM5 device (PDA2K upgraded)? If so will it be the same steps?
Is there any neat simple software that will cheack how many minutes outgoing calls I have made and how many sms I have sent from a specific date ie my billing date ?
I would like to make sure I dont go over my monthly allowance and would just like a simple click on my today screen that would maybe read x mins and x texts.
Anyone know of anything like that ?

Version 1.0
Hey...
I was thinking about SMS flooding my friend when he wasn't answering my calls .. I searched the net and found a bunch of japanease softwares I couldn't understand. So I thought to my self, why not make one? So basically I made a simple SMS bomber/flooder and now I'm sharing it with toi! .. The software worked like a charm on my Qtek S200. This software needs <b>.NET compact framework V2.0, and OS WindowsMobile 5.0 atleast</b>.
How to use it?
Nr: The number you wish to flood.
Mess: The message you wish to send.
Chr: Shows how many characters you've typed.
HM: How many times you want the message sent.
Send: Send the messages
Exit: Figure it out
Hope U LIKE CUZ ME LIKE ..
Cheers
I love it!
A tool for destruction... I'll do some testing as soon as I find a suitable victim
Thanks
testing it now.
takes a while to send though, but thats no problem!
Nice Software.. gonna test it. but i'm not using it to flooding someone.. just gonna use it to send answers to some quiz

Heh, a smart use - what will it be today? xyz Idol?
hmmm good software.
i think you need to make a desktop windows program that does the same so they dont know who its from. That could be a fun joke. Not so funny when they know its you if they get pissed bout it....
"just gonna use it to send answers to some quiz"
not sure if thats general but i often see those quiz shows
stating that it cost "normal sms rate + <some amount of money>"
so before you bomb them with answers make sure it will not cost you alot
I live in sweden and the best thing is that it's free to send SMS .. About the "Sender ID", it's possible to make a SMS flooder that doesn't send your Sender ID just find me a couple of free SMS servers and I'll make one. Can't wait? try googling there are plenty of free SMS softwares for windows ..!
BaselsSMS'er is still buggy though, I'll fix it when I have time..

I like the new layout! The contacts integration is very nice as well... I think you should have a folder in the \Program Files\BaselsSMS'er with all of the jpegs, gif, or pngs, or whatever you used, so we can change the color scheme. I could see this becoming a popular tool!
Or a theme manager, like tene's brilliant work

Thanks Ervius great APP, i will include it on my ROMs and translated to spanish.
Some people like new CHAT SMS mode, but some don´t like it, it´s better have and app to change it without have to edit registry.
seems like a good app.
just wonder how does it work??

Swapped Functions
My friend, I've tested this app but the functions are swapped.
I have SMS Chat enabled by default (by SMS Chat, i think you mean the threaded messages, right? ), and when I run the app, it displays that the SMS Chat is disabled and asks if i want to enable it. If i do that, when I open Messaging, i notice it went back to old messaging method.
Confirm please...

yes, you are true, the Enable/Disable was inverted!!!
now in version 2 all works well...
try it at 1st post.
P.S.: if you want translate, you have to hex edit the "english" strings inside...
becouse the apps check if "ITA" or not "ITA" language is on rom, so all languages that are non "ITA" are "English" for it!
Another GREAT app ervius, thanks! You keep coming up with the little apps that are missing that people need. They are simple, but they do exactly the job needed. Keep it up...

Now it's working just fine.
May I suggest something to add to this nice app?
At the moment it can only enable/disable SMS Chat. What if it could also enable/disable the message sent notification? ( I don't mean the delivery report. I mean the popup that appears when the message is sent)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings
"SMSNoSentMsg"=Dword:0(notification enabled) or 1(notification disabled)
I think this would answer so many questions, because there's always someone asking for this. And as this is also related to messaging, it would be a more complete tinny GREAT app!!
Keep in mind that this is only a suggestion (because I'm good at registry tweaking, but many users aren't).
Keep up the GREAAAAATTT work.

I think that SMS Chat and Message Sent Notification - Enable/Disable, are the most popular features that many users are always asking for. You'll make many users happy by doing this.
I feel sad for not having developer skills... But also feel happy for having developers like yourself, making ROM usage so much easier for everyone.

Hello,
I was wondering if there is a way to print or send to an excel file the list of calls made or received?
Another thing, is there a way to control the time of ONLY calls that you've made? If I go to the calls counting (in Portuguese "Contadores de Chamadas") I have the registry of ALL calls made and received. I can't control the time that I've spent where I've started the call (that can be very useful if you have minutes to spend), I only know the time spent on the phone.
Thanks in advance
I am also looking for a way

It's strange... I've download it and installed it, but the program doesn’t appear anywhere!
I’ve searched on all programs but nothing…
And I’m sure it’s installed because it appears on the “uninstall programs” as HudsonMobile PhoneDashboard.
Any suggestions?
Did you the following ?
As far as I remember, it was necessary to make a softreset on this program after installation.
Otherwise it's depending on your user interface, what you need to do.
For sure you can find the program either in the directory "programs" or a localized name e.g.
in german "Programme"
and a link in the following directory "windows/autostart".
If its not there, you need to make a link to there.
Regards
cimber

Cause to view it you need to disable TouchFLO and turn on Phone Dashboard.(settings/today/Items)
Phone Dashboard is a plugin "naked" today screen.
Unless you use an alternative overlay interface f.ex.SPB MShell-then simply tap the "show today".
Alternative:ShellSwitcher http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=675903

I don't like or dislike touchLFO... I don't know or ever used something else to know if it's better or worst. I had a Nokia 1100 and I've bought this phone with touchFLO... To me is OK since it works.
Do you think there exist better than touchFLO? Give me some links that I can look
About this festinger I'll give it a look to see.
Thanks
Ok, I've downloades festinger (v.3.1.2) and tried it.
Good but not so good...
The registration is month by month. If I charge my phone on day 10 or 15, or more than once each month I can't get the info I need.
It should let me choose the period to show.
