Bluetooth switches itself off! Help please! - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

When connecting my MDA Pro II to my laptop the connection via bluetooth gets established alright and I can surf the internet for a few minutes. But then the connection breaks down, as the phone has switched off bluetooth by itself! I cannot switch it back on, and I will have to reset the phone altogether to start anew. Does anyone have the same problem or a solution? Thanks!

Same here!!!

Turn off Pushmail and other apps
Turn off any app that might use the NET.
I got so freakin' frustrated with this before I had a bright moment
(first one ever)
Turn of activesync, pushmail etc on your device, SPB GPRS monitor, any app that tries to connect.
Your modem function just can't stand that.

Try the Vairio GPRS app thats in the MDA CDs, I also just posted here.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=32094
Its not ideal but it will allow you to controll when GPRS is on or not - other than that the MDA will work it for its self.

i'm struggling at the moment since my kjam decides to turn wifi off when it sleeps but still activesyncs via gprs even when i'm in the house and the wifi is still available.
i've tried that reg hack to stop wifi turning off on suspend but all that has done is stopping the wifi relogging on to the access point when i turn back on and stop gprs
can someone upload the vario app so can see if that helps.

Since we're talking about wifi, for several hours yesterday I tried getting on my WiFi at work and home. No luck. Thinking it might help, I went to Starbuck's and couldn't get on either.
Can someone help me??!!! I did it with my PDA2K but can't remember how. This is really starting to piss me off!
My wifi at work and home had WPA-PSK and TKIP setup. I found, and I think this is the problem, that when I had these options selected on the K-Jam 802.1x was also enabled...and I couldn't uncheck it like I can on my laptop. (I confirmed the wifi worked via laptop). So, I went to an open system and I still couldn't connect. I could see the network, and I was asked for the passphrase, but I couldn't connect and get an IP address. I tried Starbucks and the same thing happened.
Any thoughts????
Thanks,
Tom

WiFi over GPRS

Folks,
I use the WiFi connection on the Exec a lot, pretty much all day every day in fact. The problem is I have to change the power settings of the phone to never shut down otherwise when it does, the WiFi connection gets dropped and the a GPRS gets established instead - and that costs!
Is there anyway to prevent the WiFi getting dropped when the phone shuts down? Or maybe a way of making WiFi a priority over GPRS so it will connect that first?
I suppose worse case scenario, I could disable the auto connect feature of GPRS, anyone remember the hack for that?
Tom
Hi, there's a hack for that in the following thread:

elf internet sharing, screen stays on

Hey all,
been trying to dig through xda searches and google as well but haven't come up with anything useful. I am using WM 6.0, and pairing it up with vista business. Internet sharing works great but I can't turn the screen off to save battery. As soon as I push the power button on my phone, you can hear vista's usb disconnect noise because the phone drops all connections. When I turn the screen back on even the data connection has been severed. Does anyone know a setting to stop this? Thanks in advance.
i think u have to turn off the internet sharing....
same question..is somebody know?
Hello brutalturtle,
Can you please help me to setup the connection between touch & laptop? I am successful in setting up the connection via bluetooth between touch & laptop however I am unable to browse on my laptop using the GPRS connection.

No network connection on HTC HD2

I´ve got this strangest problem with my HD2. When I´ve only got a 3G connection I´m only able to surf the web with opera and check mails with the built in mail app. Marketplace, facebook and Google maps isn't even to think of, it just doesn´t work. These works when connected to a wifi network.
Anyone who knows what the problem might be?

what is wrong with you sirsmispi?
i don't know the answer but reading this guy's answer really annoyed me.
No automatic connection
I have the same problem. Twitter, weather, opera, nothing seems to work, except mail.
Data connection seems to be "frozen" in 3G mode. I have to take manual actions to "unfreeze".
I start conn manager. Phone and data connection are shown On.
I turn On airplane mode. Phone and data connection are turned off.
I turn Off airplane mode. Phone is turned On, data connection still Off.
I turn data connection on.
The phone connects to Vodafone live and HSDPA mode is displayed. All works well again.
Anyone have a solution? The "old" Always-On registry setting maybe?

WIFI/Bluetooth Issue - EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING

I am having this horrible issue with my Wifi and bluetooth.
1. WIFI: When I turn on WiFi after a reboot it works flawlessly, connects to my wifi network and I can zoom around the net just dandy. As soon as I go out of range of WiFi or manually disconnect it it will NOT turn back on it says "Unable to start Wifi" until I do a full reboot. So annoying.
2.) Bluetooth: When connecting to my Headset it connects just fine after a reboot. HOWEVER, after pairing, if I put the X10 standby with the powerbutton before making a call it will drop the bluetooth audio connection and only play sound through the earpiece. Even though it SAYS it's still connected and paired. And THEN when I shut off bluetooth and try to turn it back on, pretty much the same as the wifi thing except I get no error message it just tries to initiate bluetooth and then sits for a few minutes and then I guess gives up and keeps the bluetooth shut off without any indication of failure.
I'm guessing it's defective but if anyone has had this issue, please speak up! And even better if you know how to solve it. Thanks!! =)
I too am having the same issue with wifi. Also my x10 is superslow on my wifi @ times. So i run a speedtest and I get 3MB, which is fast, but the phone isn't using that speed while browsing the internet.
Hello,
I experienced the same thing as you. Moreover I have a trouble with Bluetooth in my car. After few seconds (around 1 minute) of talk, I don't loose the BT connexion but nobody understand me !!!
Have you tried your BT?
Have you got a task killer running that's killing your bluetooth and wifi?
