How do I start a video call ?? - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro General

I know, stupid question, but I cannot seem to figure this out

ohh noone ??

Select your contact you which to call, hold and wait for the context menu, select Video Call.
Alternatively, you could use SmartDialer to select your contact, and push the 'Video' button in the dialpad.

r u talking about 3g? r u on a 3g network? if u are, it should be as easy as how you make a regular call but this time just press video call in your fone menu... make sure your recipent has a 3g phone too..
if you're asking a different question,,, sorry, this is all i know

Hmm it does not seem to be videocall on my jasjar, there r no differense in the keypad if i try to videocall or just call.
my son tried to videocall me, and it is ringing at his end, but no ringing on my phone...
weired..

some questions to narrow it down:
what SIM/network are you using?
does it have a G or a U in the box on the icon bar at the top of the screen?

Call Waiting

Hello all,
In smart phones such as nokia when I call a person and that person is already in call with somebody else a message appear on the screen with word "waiting" with beep sound notifying that I am in waiting status for that person.
I would like to ask if anybody knows about how it is possible to activate that feature in HTC P3600 either by software or upgrade?

Get your phone dialler showing and go to menu>options>services, tap on call waiting then tap on get settings. After it gets the settings it will come up with 'Phone: Call Waiting' screen, make sure that the 'Notify me' is tapped press ok and thats it!

Thanks boz but this is not what I mean, this feature I already activated it.
Now assume that I am person "A" and there are person "B" and "C", what you told is a notification will appear if I am already in call with "B" and "C" call me, a sound will come up in my device telling that "C" is on another line.
What I need in if "B" is already in call with "C" and I "A" call "B", a sound should come up in my device telling that I am "A" is in waiting status for "B" (B is on call and A is waiting).
It is a little bit confusing but I need that feature to be activated.
Thanks a lot.
It is not possible as far as I know and I am not aware of any third party software that can do this, sorry.

Yeah that`s one solution. Only prob is sometimes it sticks the call on hold as well (not to mention a broken softbutton is a waste of space on the dialer screen).
Is the speaker on softbutton still broken in WM6?
i have a small application for WM5 smartphones (might possibly work on PPC too) that when you receive a call (pressing the green button), it will automatically turn on the speaker phone. But it has to always run in the background
I'm sure you could use skschema to create a watch and then activate the speakerphone.

iPhone Call Service?

Im pretty sure theres nothing like this bu why hasent N E 1 tried 2 implement it into WM touch screens? FUNCTIONS= when your on a call a pic and/or number of that person stays on the screen ( like the thumbnail CID option in S2u2). When you get a call the other persons pic/info shows up above it the n the same way except it has a little answer/decline button. If u answer it switches the persons info to the bottom or just highlights it. Also, if you tap one it brings up options like end/switch or especially make both calls into a confrence call(if thats even possible. Its just a thought. Some of u genius programmers could do it easy. S2U2's CID feature would be a beautiful platform/design for somethin like this. Whats your alls thoughts n ideas? Would anyone wanna see this? POSSIBLE? IMPOSSSIBLE? Feedback peopl!

answer answermachine with pressing numbers

hi.. i searched this forum for this.. but i think i cant find it or i used the wrong words for it. pardon my english because i'm not an expert in the language.
i have install allready many apps on my htc.. (i really love this cell phone)
but i have a problem.. when i call a sort of costumer service or something like that.. u get an answering machine telling u 2 press numbers.
for example:
answeringmachine says:
if u want to know about your orders press 1
if u want to know where your package is press 2..
my problem is..
i cant get the htc 2 do that
when the device turns off when you put it to your ear...turn it back on during the call, then isn't there a "show keypad" or "keypad" button on the screen, maybe the left soft-key.

Reject Call - How??

When I get a call come through if i cant answer it, how do i put the caller through to voicemail?
I know i used to be able to do this on my old phone by pressing the call end button.
This does not seem to work on the HD2...very annoying
Any ideas guys?
doesn't it give you the option on the screen?
swipe left to answer, swipe right to reject
volume toggle
Try the user manual, all kinds of basic stuff,& tech stuff too,.. On mine the volume button can reject,& be set to send text saying your busy,& will call back...
lol it shows on the screen when someone is calling.
the slider is in the middle.
left side is green 'answer'
right side is red 'reject'
you slide to whichever side you want to do.
Ah, i worked out what it was....
I had that slide to lock thing on my phone (SU2 i think)
What it was doing was not giving me the option to slide the bar the other way to reject a call.
I have removed it fom my phone and im now able to reject a call or send a text now.
thanks for the help guys
Does not the red hardware button do the same (the one used to turn phone off) ?

you don't really need to uninstall S2U2 for that... I was confused by it at first, as well, but then all you need to do is to disable everything under Settings\Phone (Actually, you get to disable "show caller id" and then everything else is immediately greyed out)
