I have read many posts here. Some have the same problem as I do. I have a well chinese cloned Elf0100. It has the HTC logo and everything but no name. It runs WM 6.0 PRO. Well I wanted to share with everyone who has this clone looking for answers. I have found the website to the manufacture/seller: DX
The reason why I joined this forum was to find out how I could flas my rom to WM 6.1. I never get past the 15% mark when using the uspl tool. When looking at this site, they have a image to download to upgrade the rom. And they made mention of someone maybe being able to alter it to WM 6.1. Any help would be great.
I also have one of these chinese HTC Touch knockoffs on my bookshelf. Never used it because I have an original HTC Touch, but would be great to be able to use this one too.
DX - Dealextreme - re-seller. I believe you cannot flash any of the ROMs to the clone.
These phones can be flashed. It's just not the same hardware spec as HTC. The software is stored at other locations - bricking the device if you try to flash an official HTC firmware onto it. We just need to customize the correct firmware.
so we can`t update it at all ?
is there a way to fix a briked device like with the original htc or it is bricked forever?
i won one of these rose htc phones today..... Where can i find a kitchen to cook a rom? dont wanna brick my blackstone but idc about this "poor mans raphael" lol
It is not hard to create a kitchen... Look at the other phones and remove their material and replace it with you phones....
As far as bricking it... I have built many roms for my Juno, Kaiser, and Touch.. when the rom would not work I would just put it back in bootloader mode and flash the stock rom... as longer as you only mess with the os portion you will be ok...
I used the same kitchen I got for my Kaiser for my Juno but swapped the SYS, OEM, and XIP out... oh and changed some settings
Geetings All...
I've just got my brand new Unbranded Palm Treo Pro and it came with Windows Mobile 6.1 pt-BR and I want to update to 6.5.
As a software developer veteran the first thing I want is to do a backup of the whole thing in case of anything goes wrong.
Reading the older posts at this forum I've managed to dump the whole ROM, following the steps I've found on this thread.
Reading further I found a Kitchen along with the ROM with WM6.5 which I believe is what I want.
However, before I flash my phone I want to convert the ROM dump into something that I can flash back in case something bad happens... you never know.
How do I do this? I couldn't find among the plethora of information on this site a way to convert from the RAW files to an usable flashing mechanism.
Regards
Same question here...
I've rebuild the ROM and posted it here, but I need a brave enough person to see if the ROM is OK because I admit I'm too scared to try it myself and brick my phone.
flashing a rom wont brick your phone.
Okay, I've tried for a few days now to find out how to do this. I've found quite a few tutorials on how to get a dump on other devices, but none specific to the TMOUS HTC HD 2. Since each device uses a different program (or drivers?), I'm guessing I need something specific to my device.
Can anyone give me some direction on this?
Raw files extracted from TMoUS HD2, need help reconstructing...
hi,
i came across an old tutorial on extracting raw files from Raphael (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=427507) and was able to follow them to get 4 raw files successully from my HD2 Leo TMoUS. However i can't proceed any further because i can't use Raphael kitchen nor Blackstone, which i tried too. Does anybody know by any chance how i can reconstruct my files to a flashable rom. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I'm new to all this, so I might be wrong, but:

That kitchen has the Leo listed as supported. It doesn't say specifically the TMOUS version though, so be careful!

No, unless you want a brick. It is never recommended to flash ROMs from other phones that aren't even the same model.
If you go to the Blackstone forums, you will find many Leo roms that have been adapted to work on the Blackstone.
Thank you,
That confirmed my thoughts!
