No, unless you want a brick. It is never recommended to flash ROMs from other phones that aren't even the same model.
If you go to the Blackstone forums, you will find many Leo roms that have been adapted to work on the Blackstone.
Thank you,
That confirmed my thoughts!

I've searched the Rom development forum and can't find the new T-mobile USA Rom. I've found plenty of cooked Roms but I would like to try the stock one first as I am in the US and use T-mobile. Is the Rom available and if so where?
Thanks for your help.
If you're in US, use HD2 with T-Mobile, didn't it come with stock ROM?
Call me crazy, but I didn't think it was out yet
What hes asking is is there a T-Mobile USA stock ROM, meaning the ROM that will be in the upcoming HD2 for T-Mobile USA.
But
I think a lot of custom ROMs have already, included the improvements from that ROM into their own ROMs.
use search function ,the stock was released 2 weaks ago in rom development forum (thanks to xmoo)
I'm actually curious about the reverse question: can any of the available ROMs be used with the new t-mobile HD2, considering that the radio hardware is different?

sspl
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=293632
thanks. so do you flash that just like spl in the past and it lets you boot any rom from then on? or slightly different
SSPL (soft secondary program loader) is a temporary way to allow your phone to flash custom roms only (not radios). This doesnt give your phone the protection that HardSPL gives you.
have a read and start on post 4, theres loads of into

Unfortunately guys, SSPL and HSPL both don't yet work for the US T-Mobile HD2.... We have to wait until they release HSPL 2, which all posts I've seen, is been worked on, though there's no ETA....
tmobile htc hd2
the tmo hd2 came wIth the first two transformers movies. I thought the movies were on th sd card but there is some jerkiness on playback..why is this. Is it played over the net.. sorry but Ive been so busy today didnt figure out why it was somewhat jerky. over all like the tmo hd2. THE ROM NEEDS WORK. have yet tocheck out the tvprogram but itlooks good depending onthe number of channels etc. as you can see Im still gettingused to no physical keyboard...onscreen is huge and you can actually read full screen web pageswith no zoom and pinch to zoom is great.
Hey, Im new to this so im very sorry if ive posted in the wrong place.
just wondering if any one has any news on the new hd2 rom which is for the tmobile range. i would like to know if this rom will be coming to the non tmobile hd2's.
Thanks For All Your Help
You mean the US T-Mobile ROM? It's already available on the normal HD2 and has been for months. It's usually best to either use the search function or just read posts (you're going to get flamed for asking btw).
Just in case you haven't searched it, or couldn't find it.
This is a post from xmoo, with the new TMO-US rom.

Regards,
Flash an HardSPL and DON'T FLASH THE TMOUS ROM FROM SDCARD: it will overwrite your SPL with the new SPL2 and you won't be able to reflash the HSPL.
Flash from PC, it'll work flawlessly.
He PM'd me after my post and he knows
Thanks
Thanks For All The Help People!
Much Appreciated, Hope You All Enjoy Your HD2s As Much As Me!!
when you buy a new t-mobile HD2, make sure to flash your rom in order to get the best out of your HD2
here are the instructions to safely flash new rom (use any rom from the link provided. 2.10 is best):

Hello,
I am getting ready to buy an HTC HD2 from T-Mobile next wednesday.
I have been doing some searches for stuff here ond XDA.
I have a probably stupid question.
Are HTC HD2 and HTC Leo the same thing, can I install themes and other things for the Leo on the HD2 from T-Mobile?
Thanks in advance!
Yes, leo is the HTC name for the hd2. Yes you can run all the same apps and themes and registry tweaks, only when it comes to rom and radio must you be sure that what you are flashing is tmous compatible.

x2.
It is super important you are getting a radio and rom that are compatible with the Tmobile thing. If you are planning on flashing there is a link in my signature that should help you. If you flash something not compatible with tmobile it will brick your phone and be just as useful as a brick have fun. its an awesome phone
I too, am a WinMo noob and I just got the HD2 and am looking forward to putting custom ROMs on it. My only concern is if I accidentally brick the phone, is there any way to 'un-brick' the device and reinstall the stock TMo ROM that comes preinstalled with the phone?
if you can reinstall, then it wasnt bricked in teh first place, , , but yes, most problems are recoverable.
The big nono for tmous users is the radio, which the main distinction is the 3rd set of digits in the version.
It will always be either 50 or 51,
2.07.51.x
2.08.50.x for example.
all, every, and each radio with a ..51.. in the version WILL ALWAYS totally kill a tmous. Also 2.04.50.x and 2.05.50.x, even though they are 50 radios, will still kill it, stone dead.(or i suppose that should be brick dead)

Listen to SamSamuel, Ive read many of his posts and he KNOWS his stuff. But I think he may have mis understood one part of your post. If you brick the phone, like really birck BRICK it, meaning it will not turn on, the computer only recognizes it as 'Qualcomm xxxx', it is toast. There will be NO going back. It is a loss. So read, and read some more, then read some more, before you even consider flashing. HD2 bricks are some of the most expensive bricks out there...
Thanks alot peepes!
I appreciate all the comments!
I decided to stay with at&t and I also decided to switch from my old trusty Iphone to the Samsung Captivate.
So far, I love it!!
I just got a new T-Mo HD2, i wanted to know if there was a difference between this roms and the HD2 roms. Does it really matter which one i flash it with??
the roms will say whether it is tmous compatible or not.
flashing the wrong custom rom isn't too bad, it just won't work. its non tmous stock roms that will permanently kill your phone, because of the ..51.. radio they contain.
so long as you stay in this tmous section you should be fine.
I flashed it with a non tmo rom, and works perfect. I reflashed with a tmo rom and my colors are bit messed up. so i guess it's back to a non tmo rom. I use energy roms on my phones.
I was reading the Energy Rom say "
This ROM is compatible with all HD2 devices manufactured by HTC" so i should be okay..
yea that one is fine cos that rom uses the stock tmous rom as its base, (many do, look for roms that say example "2.13 base" or "2.10 base",, you will get the hang of it soon enough) so it is a tmous rom under the hood.
always, ALWAYS read the first few posts in any roms thread, so many people just look at the screenshots and think "that's the one for me" without reading what the chef says about it.
Good afternoon,
Please could you tell me if this rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1356833) or this one (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1236027) works on my htc hd2 tmous 1024 ?
Actually i m using android but it often freeze...and it seems that Mango/Tango is good for hd2.
Which kind of "radio rom" may i use and where can i find an original rom 6.5 for my phone (i think it s needed to update with mango)
Thanks for your help
best regards
those roms will work for the HD2. just make sure you follow instructions to install either of the roms. the thread should tell you everything you will need to install the WP7

be aware the yuki rom installation is in multiple steps and more complicated than the others. that being said, it is more stable than the others as it does not contain a lot of extra tweaks you may or may not need/want.
thanks for your answers guys ;-)
Is there any risk to brick my tmous1024 if i use a wp 7.5 rom for european hd2 512 or not at all ?
thanks
