I noticed these registry keys and wondered if anyone knows what they are for?
"FrontLight"
and
"Nled"

I am on a trip and had my Universal stuck at startup and had to hardreset. Restored everything with SPB backup and all is working great besides the backlight. Whatever interval I put it just goes back to 10 seconds.
Can anybody tell me which is the setting in registry to try to fix it in that way?
Using latest iMate rom...
Thnx
Yup same thing with me, backlight switches off after a few seconds no matter what the settings. Wonder what is going on? Any solution? Thanks.
Cheers.
Is it possible that I am asking impossible? Pls, can some1 help with this?
Pls!
You can find the registry key to change the backlight duration here in the WiKi: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Universal_Registry
I use PHM Registry Editor. Make sure after changing the registry, leave your device ON for a minute then perform the soft reset for the change to take effect.
Maybe I missed the fix under the Wiki section or maybe nobody has complained, but I want the screen brightness to resume the level that I set it at, after a soft reset.
Can anybody help with a registry tweak or an idea? Thanks

Hi all,
First off, thanks for all the information and work you guys put in. With the write-ups I have been able to get the GPS working and the VoiceCommand 1.6 with one exception. I cannot get the BT headset working with the Voice Commander and the point where I'm stuck is that the registry key ...AudioGateway\BTAGExtModule will not accept a change. Using PHM Reg Edit I can rename the key and 'save' but when I close the editor and then reopen the key gets reverted back to OEMAGW. If I delete the key completely it gets restored automatically to OEMAGW. Can someone please point me to a thread that could help me out or answer this one?
Thanks.
Mark

I'm having the exact same problem. I'm using Resco registry editor and the change isn't sticking. I've added a simple string at a different location and did a soft reset and it stayed so that led me to believe that perhaps there were some kind of security policies being enforced that were causing this problem (I sync with an Exchange server so sec policies are being pushed down). Now to find out how to turn those off I think may resolve this... I'm still searching for a solution so if anyone has any updates please do post back...
Thanks!

I've been using my xperia for some time with out any problems but recently I discovered that the bluetooth icon that appears on the Start bar is completely missing.
Whenever I turn on bluetooth there is no visual confirmation in the Start menu bar. Bluetooth connection work as intended but I have no icon and it can be quite confusing without a visual feedback.
Does anyone know of registry keys that handle it or where these bluetooth icons are stored (maybe they got deleted somehow)?
Thanks
Iam having the same problem
I tried to uninstall all the recent programs i installed but the problem remains
I fixed it by changing some keys in the registry and then rebooting.
Unfortunately I am not sure which exact key made the difference, I changed a lot and then to my amazement after a soft reset it started appearing again. It is definitely a registry key on the bluetooth or the Taskbar entries (might have to do with enlarge start menu too).
Could u please tell me what extacly did u do?
Coz i searched over the whole forum for answer but still got no clue

As I said I am not sure, I changed some registry keys regarding bluetooth and/or taskbar and it did the trick.
Use a registry editor and search for bluetooth and taskbar entries. Be careful though because if you change the wrong keys it could brake your WinMo installation and then need to reflash.
I really can't help you more on that, I hope that I knew which registry keys fixed it.
