ntornics: You may want to try Ebay. People are much more confident when they know that paying through paypal gaurantees them against loss in case they never recieve the item they paid for.
Readers: Read up on advanced fee fraud and scams. Never pay with Western Union or other untracable methods. Only purchase items sold within your country.

I agree - EBay is better.

Prices vary, but your best bet (if you don't want or have £675 + to spend on a new JasJar) is to look on Ebay. Some bids are starting at £300.00! But expect the reserve price to be above £500. Having said that, MDA Pro (T-mobile) are knocking them out on contract quite reasonably priced, which means that some JasJar owners might be letting theirs go soon for less than £600.00, but I wouldn't hold your breath!
Once you've got one of these babys, chances are there's no turning back. They seriously Rock! 8)
The Dutch MDA Pro can be bought for about 800 euros, it is a WWE device. Only minor detail: simlocked to T-Mobile Netherlands, but some rumours say that when you buy a contract-free device, you only have to fax them your invoice to get the unlock code for free. I have however not tested this myself, so no guarantees for that!
I got mine (assuming we are talking about the HTC Universal - I my case an imate JasJar) from expansys.com
I went for the £75 per month package which, due to the 50% line rental offer, is only £37.50 per month for a THOUSAND free minutes (on vodafone). This brought the price of the phone down to £117ish......
Hope that helps!
PS -
1 I'm in the UK
2 the 50% line rental offer is only for 6 months, but I rang them to check and you can change your tariff after 6 months
3 The worst thing (no problem for me) is that the contract length is EIGHTEEN months.....

The product name only shows HTC Advantage (Unlocked) but it does stated as come with WM6. (and I don't see VGA camera on the Amazon's pic.)

That is really a great price for the device. I paid more than Amazon's listed price just a month ago for my 7500.
Cheaper yesterday....
I have been tracking this soon to be selling item and yesterday it popped up for 799.00 from Amazon itself and 1400 bucks from mobilesityonline.com. In the afternoon, it refreshed the web page and claimed it was not in stock but will be soon. This morning i checked just for the heck of it and sure enuff its at a higher price but a good deal nonetheless. So Im not sure what happened here if they found out the price was too good to be true they had to ramp it up to milk a little more or what. I hope this isnt a bad trend they are getting into here.
$799 is even close to what MobilePlanet/Expansys charges for X7500 with $40/mo T-Mobile USA 2-Year contract.
http://www.mobileplanet.com/d.aspx?i=149904
I just remember that I paid more than $799 for a XDA II (Himalaya) 3.5 years ago.
Yeah I'm very interested in this. Is it confirmed that Amazon will start shipping around August 1st?

This one with the WM5. T Mobile is on Germany offering far better deals than that with a 2-year contract.

Yes, that's why I said it is 7500 (which is upgradeable to WM6 and comes with two cameras)
The one on Amazon is 7501.
CompUSA also has 7501 on their website now.

2 weeks ago, Sandisk announced that it was shipping an 8GB MicroSDHC card. Since then, I haven't heard anything. Many retailers show the card, but the stock indicators show pre-sale or out-of-stock. Does anyone have any information on U.S. availability?
Elite Electronics shows them coming in next Monday the 26th. They're already available in the UK.
and what about the samsung ones? (class 6)
It's showing on Expansys.com and Expansys.ca
Despite their web site showing these as in stock no-one has received anything from this shop yet and a number of orders have been cancelled by email.
There's a thread on Modaco.

I ordered one from Elite Electronix about a month ago and last week got this response when I asked for a status update:
"These units should arrive, and ship on November 26th. This is the revised ship date we have received. Thank you."
I also placed an order with Elite in mid-October and have been awaiting its arrival. Sounds like it may be delayed even more if the UK stocks haven't arrived. Bummer.
Here in Sweden/Halmstad one store has got them today
I've been following 3 other UK stores with similar prices, all of them hint at very close delivery dates:
MemoryBits - Expected "end of Nov"
Insight - Expected "Tomorrow", date updates everyday
MobiMemory - "expected 5-12 days" has been like this for at least 5 days.
A shop in Germany just let me know they'd ship it mid Dec.
does anyone know what speed Class these cards are?
SanDisk 8GB is supposed to be class 4.
Bought mine @ Circuit City's Verizon Kiosk
Verizon has them for $129.99. Works fine in my Cingular 8525 WM6.
This might help...

Funny, Can't find them in stock on-line anywhere, but I also dropped into a Verizon kiosk at Circuit City and snapped one up as well. Thanks for the tip! It does show C4 on the card.
Verizon does have them online for $129.99 with free shipping. Add tax and you're looking upwards of $140.
In Holland you can buy them in various places for about 90 euro's. I have one myself and they work great.
Thanks for the Verizon/Circuit City tip! Snagged one up finally - can't believe a brick and mortar has these over online retailers!
I picked one up today at my local Verizon store, and have cancelled my order with Elite Electronix (placed 45 days ago).
I was just about to buy the Dimond2 from Expansys UK last night. Yesterdays price was £384 but today its gone up to £410....now whats all that about, didnt think they were open or operated on sundays?!?
Guys where would be the best place to buy a Sim Free TD2 in the Uk? without having to get a contract, even though that might be the cheaper option really dont want another contract.
I know devicewire were giving away a free car kit but not anymore :-(
http://www.clove.co.uk/
I ordered mine from New York, received it in two business days & paid a total of 366.00 EUR. Not sure if the price went up though?
thanks mate.....devicewire are currently doing free delivery and at £395 seems to be the cheapest!
unless someone knows of anything better?!?
mobilephonesdirect have them for £372.99 + about £4 p&p but not getting stock till 7th April
or Insight have them for £379.549 + about £10 p&p
They're the best I've seen looking around.

Do you mean £366.00 Pounds? I got mine from there for £357. But since we live in the US we don't pay the VAT taxes.
Clove has it for £393.30 inc VAT.
inkino.com.uk
Expansys don't have them in stock. Just cancelled the order with them.
Cheapest

I've got one for sale in the Marketplace and would be willing to go less than my original asking price there in case anyone is interested.
Thanks.
Play.com
Go to play.com the phone costs £399.00
Then go to www.topcashback.co.uk, register on the website and then search play.com. It's a website that provides cashback on internet purchases from major retailers and its all legit.
Purchase the phone from play.com through topcashback and you get 3.5% cash back on mobile phone purchases and the cost works out at £385 plus free delivery. The cash back is payble in about 2 months. That's how I got mine.
Btw topcashback is a great website I use it for all my internet purchases and to date I've got about £60 in cash back. Oh and no I don't work for them lol.
bro www.handtec.co.uk it's secure shop? anyone have buyed from their ?
Got mine for £ 316.61 ex VAT from Amazon.co.uk free delivery but I didn't have to pay VAT as I'm in the Channel Islands, including VAT it was £ 364.10 with free delivery still one of the cheaper options. Shame they are now charging closer to £ 400 inc VAT. It went up £ 28 since I bought mine last week.
Got mine (Sim Free) from www.mobilephonesdirect.co.uk
T-Mobile Combi 25 12 month contract + £121.99 = £421.99 over 12 months including 150 minutes & 150 texts each month.
Hi all,
What with the unlock codes now working I can finally take the plunge and buy the Venue Pro. The problem is I'm in the UK and we still can't get the phone over here - Expansys are an absolute waste of time, they don't have stock and just keep listing fictional date after fictional date on their website.
Ideally I'd order directly from Dell but they don't ship to the UK. Anyone know any other sites in the US that stock the phone and will ship? Failing this, anyone fancy doing me a massive favour and ordering from Dell for me? Obviously I'd PayPal the money up front and whatever else you thought appropriate for handling, yadda yadda
After waiting this long I'm just desperate to finally get my hands on it and move on from my old HTC!
Did you try here:
http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_trkpar...&_sticky=1&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_sop=16&_sc=1
I did - but the thing is most of those are $670+, whereas the Dell Venue Pro is $499 on the Dell website (or $449 for the 8GB). $170 is a heck of a mark-up, even if it includes an unlock code (which seems to be $55-60)...
There are occasionally bargains on ebay with cheaper VP's but I am probably going to go the route of using com gateway to get them to buy one for me and get it shipped here and pay using paypal. I added it up roughly.
Phone $450
Fee $45
US Shipping Free
Total $495
------
International Shipping $50
Total $545 (£335.23)
-----
Unlock £45
----
Tax £79.50
(VAT at 20% and Import Duty at 6.5%
GRAND TOTAL = £414.5 + £41 unlock = £455.5
These are approximate prices. The exchange rate fluctuates and tax depends on
the declared amount on the phone. It may be much less. But state tax may also be included. Unlock fee may be more as well.
Having said that a total of £450 which I imagine is the upper maximum is less than
the UK price currently and without the wait.
