I have it installed on my X01HT (hermes), it used to work. But now for some reason, it doesn't let me make calls anymore. I can load Skype, see my contacts, but no one is ever online. Can't even use SkypeOut like I did before.
A quick look at the Status tab shows:
- "WiFi connection Active"
- "0 users online"
BTW, IE works fine over the WiFi connection. And I reinstalled the version at this link: http://skype.com/download/skype/mobile/21beta.html
Any ideas?
Just discovered and installed the Production version of Skype 2.1 - v2.1.0.65. Same result I can sign in and see my contacts, but it doesn't seem to connect to the network, no one is ever online, and I cannot make calls.
please help!
Skype doesn't work on Samsung Galaxy S, Vibrant
Installed Skype on my T-Mobile Vibrant (rooted), As far as I can get is the screen to login and not any farther.
Can't create new account. Cant login to an existing. Tried it on 3G and tried it on Wi-Fi. When click on "Forgotten your Password?" it pops up a message saying: "It appears you are accessing Skype's web pages through an unsupported browser. Please switch browsers and try again."

I realy need a good messenger like IM+...or something like Yahoo.Go(i know it's for symbian only)..but a messenger thet realy work...
By the way...i use only Yahoo Messenger.
Tnx in advance...
I have tried all of them. Most people seem to like Agile and I even thought I did at first. Problem is, with GPRS/EDGE it disconnects constantly. If you receive a phone call, your connection drops and you will still appear online for a little while after. So if someone sends you a message when in this state, you never receive it. I have an issue with dropped messages.
I found the most stable backend IM client to use is Verichat. It is both TCPIP and SMS based from what I have seen. You always appear online no matter what state your phone is in. If you receive a message when your phone is off or on a call, the message will be sent via SMS. If your device is on and you have the app open, you will receive the message via TCPIP. It also has BOTS that can be added to your bud list for handy things like movie times, driving directions, etc. It also supports all major IM services.
Free to try:

Is there any useful app which will able me to connect to my ICQ through my QTEK 9100 (except IM+ and Agile Messenger, which doesn't work so well) ?
Mirabilis's ICQ PPC Beta 1 version perhaps?
I've tried it, and it doesn't work.
It gives me an Error msg about the memory.
Something else?

Try Verichat and enable the feature to keep you online even when the device is off once you start it for the 1st time. If you have SMS text messaging, your IM's will come through SMS when your device is off. If you have Verichat running, it will come through TCPCIP internet connection. This has worked great for me so far although I am still evaluating it. Problem with the other apps is that if your phone is off or you lose GPRS/internet connectivity, your IM connection is lost and this happens often. Also, when you receive a voice call, you lose your GPRS connection resulting in your IM session getting dropped. I am only really using the AOL part now so can't say how the ICQ part works.
Suggestion: Download and try it for free as I am doing. Test using another ICQ# on a desktop computer.

PIGEON! mesenger
I have been getting some crazy buggy action with my aim connection RECENTLY with agile thats sooo annoying; first of all it'll get the cannot connect thing, switch to contact view? This happens right in the beginning when agile first starts... So when I go to contact view, I try to connect from there and it connects, but then now i get double entries for some of my online contacts; then when I send messages to buddy "A", and they reply, the reply doesnt show up on the original window, instead the reply goes to a new window, from a duplicate buddy "A" entry that shows the buddy "A" as offline. No matter what all replies go to this alternate window......anyone experience this before?
I did clean uninstall and installs but to no avail......its installed in device memory also...don't know why this is happening, as the program worked before for a while, until this happened..to my knowledge I dont believe i changed a thing :x
im having the same issue with the agile messenger beta 3 or whatever. it keeps saying "cannot connect", even though i have a solid wifi connection and the internet works.

Hi all. Bad news for a first post. I've been reading and reading and researching to get a better understanding, as the most experience I've had with altering phone software is modding a Samsung Blackjack 2 for awhile.
I have the US AT&T HTC Tilt 2 (Rhodium). I will be as specific as possible - I cannot access the internet (no web access, no email access, etc.) I can send and receive sms messages and send and receive phone calls. The strange thing is I can send and receive mms messages (I thought they used 3G?)
Here's the specifics BEFORE I had the problem:
WinMo 6.5, latest framework, no mods of any sort. No problems of any kind.
AFTER:
I installed the HARDspl with the hopes of soon putting a ROM on my phone (I liked what you folks have to offer). I installed Opera Mobile 10, set it as my default, installed cleanRAM, ran it twice. I installed LockDevice. I installed mobilematt's Crystal Clock, and an HDWALL cab. I did the three background regedits to get the HDWALL to work properly by using the Mobile Registry Editor.
I properly soft reset and restarted along the way as prompted. I have no other extra programs that weren't mentioned.
The error message told me it couldn't connect, with the option of checking my settings or dismissing the error. It told me to reset my device specific to my manufacturer... etc.
---------------------
FUNNY ENOUGH, I just restarted the phone to try again... and it worked. The error is not there, and I can access the internet on IE and Opera 10, check my email, etc.
A FLUKE?
Did you just get the phone? When I got mine I had the same problem, I upgraded from a Tilt to a Tilt2 and I had to get a new sims card, my sister also had the same problem when she upgraded to the ATT Fuze from the Pantec matrix, everything worked but no 3g internet connection
hey everyone
As Canadians may have heard, a carrier finally did something nice for us, Rogers released their One Number service, sort of a poor man's Google Voice, which is great for Canadians as we can't yet access Google Voice.
You get txting/calling from your browser, you can ring multiple phones, etc.
Any experiences of using it so far?

So far it seems OK, however the equivalent Android app doesn't seem to work on the N1. Anybody have luck with this?
I'm running CM7, and when I open the site to get the Android app the Rogers site says
Your phone currently does not suppor tthe Rogers One Number mobile apps. You can continue to use the service from your computer at www.rogersonenumber.ca

Bump? Any Canadians Rogers customers out there?
have you tried changing your user agent?
i have been running this on my samsung captivate.
the app is annoying as it gives constant birthday notifications for all contacts from email, social networks and phone. even after clearing the notification it comes back. a bug im sure will be fixed someday.
the pc app is not bad.. allows you to send receive calls on pc, though it operates through a web portal using web browser. though not needing web page open to receive calls because of try app doenst make it horrible.
even though the app runs on my phone, i am unable to transfer calls from pc to phone as is supposed to do. but does ring my main phone number on both my phone #s (and pc) at same time! *as long as pc client is running, as it uses client to ring all other numbers.
this is super handy when i forget my phone at home but have my 3g enabled netbook in my truck. i am still able to get calls, texts, and contact info wirelessly!
DISCLAIMER!! - using rogers one number on a mobile PC/laptop will give INCORRECT 911 location info unless you are at home or the address you register for one number service!
APK files
Could someone please post the apk files? Thx
I get the same msg from Rogers, but I think it's wrong.
However, it won't let me access the files for it.
So plz post them...thank you
I run CM7 on my N1 and everything seemed to work fine for me. I installed the app so that I could sync my contacts, but then uninstalled it as I didn't see the point of having it on my phone.
I can now use a computer to text and call... but I never really do.

Similar here, uninstalled the onenumber app on phone after sync.
Only tried to transfer call from phone to PC and it works seamlessly (essentially PC client is taking over the call)
Never tried to send a call from PC to phone, or ring multiple numbers of sorts.
Free call from PC using my number is the best use for me (and I think the whole purpose of this service for Rogers is customer retention & offload traffic to the internet) but I am still exploring.
On the side note... I dream the day IP calling will become mainstream and appropriately priced, for better use of the spectrum, etc. (See the article on the Verge "Phoning it in: the dirty secret of IP calling, and how it will change the phone industry")
i was having the same error as op when the One number first came out
APK would be nice if someone has time to post it.
The OSX app is good, I use it to find out about incoming texts. However, if I send out a text via the Rogers One OSX app then my phone does not show it in the "Sent" area.
For those with the Android app running, does sending from your computer get synced up with your phone?
Nope, doesn't sync back to my phone for me.
