my friend have bought on ebay an HP Ipaq6915 from Nederland. He wants to change language to Italian or English. But I don't find anything about how to upgrade ROM. Can anyone tell me something?

sorry for asking questions about HP Ipaq, but this forum is the best expert point of meeting.
so pls anybody tell me where can I get ROM for my new Ipaq HW6500 (which was presented to me by my friend). The thing is that Ipaq is sim-locked. It doesn't accept my sim-card.

Can you please help me? I have an IPAQ 614c but the OS is in Italian and i want to change it into English.
I've tried already with the latest FW ver on the support page at HP (English) with successful upgrade but the issue
is still the same.
Is there any World Wide ROM for this model? I'll appreciate if you provide me such one. Otherwise i'll be not able to use the device sad.gif

I think you can backup the english version and share it
I can do so with the Italian if someone needs it.
There are two options i think, the one is to make a key boot combination and to save the ROM on a SD and the other one is with a utility but for this somebody else has to share his experience.

Official EN rom. Windows Pro 6.0.
Dont forget to make the HP update, this rom is very old.

My friend have exactly the iPaq. But with Android...

There is no public / beta / test Android ROM for hx2000 Series iPAQs.
You can't get Android so easily. And if your friend doesn't know how he got it. I don't think it's real - maybe he is using some Android skin over Windows Mobile.
