*#123# Don't Work in My Qtek 9000 - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro General

Hello all,
When I put the Code *#123# to see how much money I spend in this month, my Qtek stay in the "waiting" ballon forver and don't give-me any answere.
Anyone know I way to put this to work or one app that I install and can give me the information I need?
Thanks

Hi,
I am not very familiar with that issue but try to call Your customer services - I thing Youll have to provide something like "PIN2" code to get informations about Your calls and finances.

Piotr

Maybe you should try *123#...

I call'd customer service and they tolld-me that Qtek Roms don't assume that function. I also try'd the *123# and don't work.

Even *123# works on my jj with imate rom.

Well, none of that codes work in my phone.
What are the radio versions that you are using?

Radio version is 1.13.00

The problem is generated by your SIM card, it's mailbox is full. Try to put the SIM card in another phone and clear inbox and then try again.

In my humble opinion this thing is not at all related to the mailbox getting full AFAIK this thing is controlled by the network operater .

Yes, you're right, but if your version of windows doesn't read and delete those sms (like it happened to me) you're cost control messages will stack up on your sim and nobody will delete them, unless you put your card into a phone and delete them.
I've had ROM 1.30.77 from Q-tek and had that problem, after upgrading to AKU 3.2 i can delete them from sim card and everything it's OK.

i get a 'command not supported' message from my phone.

Try wakko's method to delete them.

Some issues after upgrading to WM2003 and (or?) Radio 4.21

Hi guys,
I uploaded a new rom with windows mobile 2003, the radio stack 4.21 from O2 site and I am very happy with my device.
Thank you all for made the upgrade possible.
I just have some issues that I wonder if they can be solved:
1) my xda does not send SMS. I am not sure if it depends from the WM2003 upgrade, radio 4.21 upgrade, both of them (or none of them!!).
The SMS center number is correct and verified. I receive SMS.
When I send them, I get the message SMS sent. It stores the SMS in the Sent Items folder but......the SMS does not arrive at destination
2) When I receive phone calls, and my mobile phone is OFF (or out of coverage), after I turn it on again my mobile operator sends me an SMS showing the number of the guy (guys) who tried to call.
This works fine, although after the upgrade I receive 2 SMS, one with the number of the caller and another one empty (??).
2b) With my previous phone (Motorola Timeport), the mobile operator used a (java?) application to associate the number of a missed call with the phone numbers stored in the SIM.
It was easy to see who called you and eventually call back.
Without this function I have to search my contact list in order to see if that number belongs to somebody in my contact list....pretty annoying
Any idea of the solution to those issues?
Thanks a lot.
Claudio.
P.S. My mobile operator is Wind in Italy.
i am in the same boat claudio
Claudio,
which version of WM2003 did you upgrade to ?
Ciao, bruco
UPDATE
1) The phone still does not send SMS correctly. Which means: a) they arrive very late (the next day) b) they do not arrive at all
2) Double SMS from mobile operator.
It seems a bug of the phone/operator. Apparently this happens also to other mobile phones.
2b) No update :-(
For Andhy: You live in Italy and have Wind operator?
For Brix3: I upgraded to the WM2003 available in the Jeff's kitchen 4.00.11 ENG
do you have the phone numbers stored in your contacts saved with the county code in front of them ? ie. +447989111222 ?
If you have remove the country code, so you would be left with: 07989111222.
I'm using WM2003 4.0.11 and Radio Stack 4.21 and I can send SMS fine, and missed calls are shown with the person's name if they are in my contacts book.
Claudio: I live in Thailand. Now I had no problems at all with sending sms. I know it may sound weird, but this sms problem happened each time after I flashed a new ROM (Been playing around a bit the past days). ANd I found out that the cure was to re-inserting SIM card with different ones. In other words, I replaced the SIM card with another one from different provider, did a few sms (worked) then inserted back the 'original' one and voila.. all semeed fine.. strange eh.. but that's what happened and what I did.. I always make sure that the SIM card rubber cover is closed properly...
Andhy!!
YES!! That is a nice bug.
I changed the SIM card sent a couple of SMS (working) changed back my original SIM card and now......SMS sending is perfectly working.
Thanks!!!!

SMS Deliver.cab

Can anyone configure the below app to work with WM5? below is the version for the older handsets.
even better, this one works on my Jasjar.
I tried this one; it works.
Just tried it on my mda pro, doesn't seem to work?
Why on earth would you possibly want to put this cab file onto the phone?
If you go into the Options for Text messages on the phone you tick the box that says request delivery notifications and you will get your delivery reports. Have you not had a look through the options or the manual yet?
yes but the i-mate handsets have never had the option to permenantly keep the Delivery report options on as with other normal handsets, and the above cab files resolve this issue so for every txt msg you send you dont ahve to go to options and select the check box.
For some reason, with the O2 xda Exec, even using the built-in delivery notification option, I don't receive delivery notification even when the text is delivered to another O2 phone. Any ideas?
Did this ever work before on any other handset?
As from what i know o2 dont support delivery reports, for some reason if your on o2 then you need to type *#0 and then your msg, then you will recieve a deliver report, well thats what i have to do on my o2 line.
That's terrible! I'm new to O2, and before on T-Mobile and Orange I could just tick the box. Any other way round it that changing the phone number?
You dont need to change the phone number, in your main msg you need to add the above as text in the beggining. Or you can quicken things up by adding it as a 'My text' feature within the phone.
I understand now, thanks, however if I send a message and the text is, for example:
*#0Hello
The other person receives a text message with "*#0Hello" in it and I get no report back :?
CJS try *0#<space> then your message
Nope, no good already tried it
CJS I've just sent a message using "*0#" and it works no problem mate
Oh! ump001 said "*#0" and then when you said try it with a space I didn't notice you'd corrected it to "*0#". That works just fine, even without a space. Cheers!
Ouch though, all those tests with the wrong code really hit my credit

Does it work on O2, bypassing the need for *0#?
O2 simply don't have delivery reports as per standard on their network. The only way to do it is with the *0# option in the Subject title (thereby ensuring you have the "space"...
Cheers
Ant
PS - ordering my Exec on Wed / Thursday...

CJSnet; sorry, I'm on T-mobile. Delivery reports working fine for me, but I know that KPN NL doesn't support them. I always get a message back that sending was succesfull, even when I know that the phone I'm sending the message is turned off...
Anyway, to go short: I don't have experience with O2
I've never really understood why o2 have to be different and be the only network not to have delivery reports. Could it be cost???? come on o2 stop being cheap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IIWPO: MUST-HAVE 4 ur expensive JJ!

IIWPO is a FREE (xda-developers) app that wakes up and sends an SMS if anyone changes the owner info. So, if ur device is stolen, you get an SMS as soon as a new SIM is installed and the owner info is changed. From that SMS, you can start to call and hunt down the thief.
Typically IIWPO is installed in an unlocked ROM. We can't do that on the JJ, BUT we do have persistent storage, so we can put it in our startup folder and only a savvy PPC user will know to remove it (most thieves are not going to be savvy - or at least not before you've been informed of their new details!).
Can someone please provide a version that works on the JasJar, along with brief instructions on how best to set it up. For a device of this value, this will be MUCH appreciated! In fact, it DEMANDS a donation to xda-developers (crediting IIWPO)...
[Edit] The currently available version works! I'm making my donation right now. See
Not sure i fully understood
By installing the app, what it does is:
when inserting a different sim than the one I specified,
it sends me (Specified sim / phone number) an SMS
with the new (Thief) phone number?
if so - does it also work on normal phones IE - nokia?
or only PPC phone ?
10x in advance,
It's written for XDA devices - Nokia is a totally different OS.
Of course if a thief steals YOUR PPC, then that's what is going to send the SMS - no worries.
Remember we have no extention now....so a simply hard-reset will erase the program , but i think it can be be proctected , because the same thing happens to the boot screen , its never erased after hardreset ...so we have a chance...and secondly when u install the program remember not to activate the lock ( screen) bucuz then the theive cant change the owner info..
Thx

Um, no disrespect intrended, but how on God's green earth are we supposed to have any clue since you provided absolutely no information about your phone, ROM, service provider, applications installed, whether you can send MMS, etc etc etc.?
Give more, get more. Get it?

i'm on cingular i havn't tried sending and I get the mms but the pictures wont download
I'm assuming this is a stock Cingular ROM them (as you still haven't mentioned that). So IPL/SPL read 2.25 when you reset your phone and its starting up? If thats the case, then you may do better calling Cingular and asking them directly as they can step you through things right over the phone.
If you want us to help, then you have to tell us more as we can't see your device or guess at what is happening. Why won't the pictures download? Do you get an error, or some message? What does the phone do? What exactly do you see and what are you tapping and what happens?
This happened to me after i upgraded my rom to ANY WM6 rom.
I could not get any MMS messages to work in or out.
I had to revert back to Tmobiles stock wm5 rom cause i need my MMS messaging.
Custom ROMs (for the most part) do not setup GPRS or MMS. Have you run the GPRS and MMS cabs to setup this function for Cingular? Here are the two I run after I upgrade. As Dr. P has said, store these on your SD card so that you always have them with you. This can save you, if you have to do a hard reset and you aren't around your computer.

Problems with SMS sending

I've got some problems with sending SMS.
I read about people with this problem, but nothing to fix that problem.
Please give me some information how to fix the problem.
1. I have the right SMS center
2. I have intalled provider configuration after hard-reset
3. I use WM 6.5 (5.2.21500 - 21613)
4. I use latest Radio (1.14.25.24)
5. I use new Manila (2.0.37889.1)
When I will send a SMS to someone, some seconds later came up message "Can't send SMS".
With the same SIM I can send SMS with an other mobile.
When I got my Touch HD, I couldn't send SMSs either. It was a problem with my SIM card, that it was too old and I couldn't SMS in newer phones (like touch hd). Try to get a new SIM card.
Can confirm the above on HD in switzerland, got a new sim solved it.

I never heard about that. Why is there a problem with older SIM-cards??
Searching google don't give me any hint!
Is there someone with other ideas?
Intresting approach !
So lets run the above by me one more time.
You post saying that you cant send sms, give us info about your settings, rom and radio.
User one says "It was a problem with my SIM card, that it was too old and I couldn't SMS "
User two says "Can confirm the above on HD in switzerland, got a new sim solved it. "
and then you google not liking the answer.
Now you want somebody to give you another answer, will google and not like it and then ??
I for one can not answer the question of why one can have a problem with old sim cards only confim that I had it and I solved it. But What do I know.
Hi HDuser.
Thanks for your reply to my thread! But it didn't help ...
On writing my statement, the second one (you) told, that he fixed the problem with a new card, too. So I saw first just one answer, after submitting the second.
My reason to ask more people is:
- I have to pay for a new SIM. Why should I order a new one, just one person told something about a new SIM.
- I don't understand, where's the differents between this SIM-card new one vs old one.
Are there realy different SIM-versions in the market? I don't find anything about that search the net...
Please post some URL to read about that fact.

Update 1:
I checked out with an other SIM (newer from 2008 prepaid) and the news: with it I can send out SMS.
So I phoned with my provider today. I will get a new SIM for free. They told me, a new SIM is good for my battery and GSM-connection, too.
Update 2:
Today I got my new SIM. But SMS don't sendout :-(
Where's the problem - that's my question at all!
Yours Andreas
Now I can only go on what happend to me and that was a faulty sim.
I too have to buy a new sim but if the sim that I have does not work then its a fault of my provider not mine. (but I have a contract and not a pre-paid).
I cant point you to anywere as you yourself can't find the issue in google.
If you feel its not the sim, them use a friends and SMS with that one, prove that you can SMS on the device and you know its not the device.
Proving that you can SMS with your sim an other device does not mean that the sim works on your blackstone.
On mine device just reflashed I need only to go to phone, options - services -voice messages and text - get settings .... this gives me my text message service of my provider. I am set and can send.
Sms Sending Problem with simcard of U-Fone - Pakistan
i have HTC Touch HD i installed the new 1.56 V3.3 XTREME by Dutty based ROM. everything works fine but sms. when i send sms it stays in the outbox until i make a call. the sms is only sent when i make a call.
i have tried the new sim card solution but no use.
still having problem. if someone have a solution please help.
Think you will find that the sms goes even though it says it doesn't, at least that is what mine is doing as the girlfriend thought I'd gone mad and sent her about ten messages all about some flight details.
Even though the phone said not sent she got them all lol, but got to admit it is annoying and it has nothing to do with my sim it has only happened since shifting to the 1.56 base all previous cooked roms worked without this glitch.
I don't have interface to send SMS or type a new e-mail
when i try to send a new sms or a new e-mail i got a blank white page.
please help
on Dutty's roms this is known bug of manila.
I have an old simple sim, more than 5 years old, and I can send sms within standard sms application. but when I use manila (on dutty's rom) it sends somtimes, and sometimes it doesn't.
