i have to extract my SMS Data from a Backupfile i recently made. The problem is, i had to send my Magician to repair and made a backup. But unfortunately the repair-team updated my Software and thats the reason why im not able to restore my backup on my PDA.
I dont want to lose my SMS Data because it includes 100 SMSs .. or so!
There has to be a way, to extract those data and put them on my new PDA.
Please help me. Im desperate cause i asked on many forums and you are my last hope!

I m afraid buddy as it was possible b4 updating ur software as u could have extracted them with application Jeyo mobile ext. on to ur outlook but now don't think so dat there is ne way out .
did u use sprite backup to create a backup file?

Flashed S100 with Imate rom ... made backup before flashing...

Where's the problem? When you sync again you get all your contacts back. You can't restore an S100 backup to an iMate device, they may have the same base (HTC magician) but the firmware is very different. So the restore wont work. Time to reinstall the programs.

I did that in order to change language imate rom has portuguese....
so now i have to flash again to S100 and restore backup.... any other way to make backup ??? like backup everything to memory card???

You can't restore your backup to a different language... ??....???? Am I right??

just an idea.. why not reflash your old firmware back then do a restore.. then use a different backup program like sprite.. then reflash the new firmware again.. i think its worth a try if you got no other options
Already tryed with old firmware ..... same error????? i hate windows ...

cuz i backed up my i-mate jam on SD card, and sold it. now i want to restore the data on the jasajr, but there's no xbackup to read the "CompactFlashBackUpPim" file
can u help me in this?
Sorry cant help you on xbackup, but try Sunnysoft Backup Manager. Earlier versions were a bit iffy but this one seams to work OK.

i got a new iMate sp5m but the problem is tht i sold off my iMate jam with which i had taken my contacts backup through x backup and now since the sp5m doesnt have a restore option nor does it have x backup how do i open the file compactflashbackuppim since it doesnt have any extension and how do i open it/import its contents in outlook or is there any other procedure ?

The only way i could think of is, take your friend' device that has xBackup and restore yours. Syncronize to outlook on pc and export it out!
If you have no personal contacts or dont mind me checking them, mail your backup file to me and i will try to do it for ya when free..

Well thanks for the help offered..but i got it sorted out by taking a friends 02 mini and getting it to sync my file with outlook and then got the data on my new phone..

Hello guys, im looking for someone who can help me really.
I need someone who have already installed Windows Mobile Device Emulator and know how to work with it..
Because i try several hours and i cannot set up and understand it.
Here is the problem.
I change my device with Android one.. and i did some S off etc Updating ROM`s and etc and all my contacts was removed around 300 contacts from the SIM card.
SO i don`t have from where ot get them back But...
The good news still is that befor when i was with WinMo i use Pimbackup and i did a PimBackup.pib file...
So what is the point..
Now if someone want to help me its a job for a minute.
Just to run the PimBackup on the virtual machine and to restore the contacts from the pib file that i will provide.
After the contacts are restored the person need to do a back up again
but this time not binary one just plain Backup hen PIB can be changed to zip, and csv files from zip can be upload to gmail contacts.
