coolcamera can do mms? - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario General

Hi
I've installed coolcamera and like it - so much faster than standard camera app on my xda mini s.
I'd like to buy it but before I do I need to make sure I can MMS a video captured using the camera to another mms phone - the same as I can on the standard camera app.
Is this possible and if so how do I do it?
I've done a search on here and atek site but can't find anythning - please help.
Cheers

needing caller-id picture app for the wizard

sorry if it's been posted somewhere, but i searched and didn't come up with anything. the built-in caller-id picture stuff in wm5 on the wizard sucks. the pictures are so small... anyone know of a good replacement? i remember using some app on my pda2k on 2003se. i doubt it is fully wm5 compat.
Photo Contacts Pro www.pocketx.net supports WM5
thanks, ill give it a try

The best photo contatct app...

Hi all!
I'm looking for a best app to show the photo of the contact during a call...
The WM5 std app is okay in your opinion? I'm still test no application on my jam including the std WM5 features...
I'd like a simple app with no much features different from the simple photo contact display (ful screen...)
Thanks!

Get a hold of the coolcamera software from ateksoft and you can use the camera inc. such things as web cam etc. (Not a free application though)
Mike

Since Ateksoft split up the coolcamera software from one\application to 3 or 4 it may be that you need the webcamera app.
There are loads of threads on this if you use the Google search sticky and put in- TyTn front camera coolcamera, you'll find them.
By the way you have to enter the menus to tell it to use the front cam.

orait..thanks mike it works =)

front cam for skype?

guys, not sure if this was posted before so apologies in advance.
i'm using skype on my unit and everything's working fine. my question: is there a way to use the front camera as a "webcam" while doing skype on the athena? as you know when you use skype on your pc you have an external cam. in this case, is there a way to use the one on the athena?
cheers
Good idea... it would be nice to see that feature with skype. If you want to use your front camera for taking pictures/video try coolcamera

Skype mobile - video calls with REAR camera

Yesterday a friend of mine showed to me how he uses iPhone 4 and video call features with BOTH front and REAR cameras!
Yes REAR camera...I was surpised. iPhone 4 has an internal application which allows for video call using both cameras.
Now I wonder: is it possible to customize skype mobile (or other similar chat applications) and force it to use our HD2 REAR camera (due to lack of front camera)?
Thanks and waiting

If anybody knows about a chat application (for windows mobile) which uses rear camera, please can he submit?
Thanks a lot!
S.
any idea?
I will appreciate
Saulo
In my many years of using Windows Mobile I have never heard of an application like this. Sorry.
I'm interested in this question too.
What about the "Video Share Mode" (Tip 14)?
Using the rear camera it would be possible to have video calls (using a mirror).
Skype for WinMo is not supported anymore. The last Skype-version for WinMo 6.5 has NO videocall-feature !!!!
And there will never be, since Skype will not be updated for WinMo any more .........
BTW: use search function and You will find all answers
Hallo Troed
Thanks for your suggestion...but I really tried the search function on many key words...
Can you please be more specific? Which search keyword did you input?
Or which apps/products did you find that might provide chat and video call features?
Thanks a lot!
Saulo
Hallo pdahunter
In my opinion if such a chat application does exist, it does not need a mirror: in fact the mic is omnidirectional and the speakerphone capability of HD2 are awesome, so I would simply turn my HD2 180 degree (on vertical axis) and use as it is, pointing the rear camera to my face.
Thanks for your ideas!

So how do you see the other person who is taking to you
simply I do not see the remote party (mostly my mother and my brother).
What I want is to have my mother (which is far away) capable to see my kids.
I would be satisfied for that.
Thanks
Saulo
Videoconferencing friends this could not be done with fring or nimbuz. This already happens with the iPhone 3Gs??

Back when i had my cingular 8525 (hermes) i was
also obssessed with trying to find something similar.
Eventually i did find something that Microsoft was working on
it was fairly old, WM2003 i believe and i remember on the website
it had a PPC with a camera attachment on top (very old looking website).
i never downloaded the app because right around that time i killed my data plan and nor longer saw a need for it. I think it was compatible with windows Messenger.
Microsoft Portrait - http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/projects/portrait/
for videocalling, I just use skype on a laptop. Not really interested in using it on my phone.
Since skype is NO more supported, which are the best chat applications (with video call) that can compete with skype for windows mobile?
Thanks
Saulo
deal all
Any more updates? Any WM compatible video calling application, besides skype?
Thanks
Saulo

Please some one help us out
I got some hints about nimbuzz and fring, but do they have video call capabilities?
Can they run on WM 6.5?
Thank you
Saulo
Maybe this thread will show no more additional contributions...but I wish to try again: any feedback about Nimuzz and fring, as skype replacement?
Any idea if they can use the rear camera of HT2?
Thank you
Saulo
