Hi altogether,
well, maybe this is not the right place to ask this but I'll give it a try:
I own a QTEK 9100. My girlfriend owns a Samsung SGH E-730.
When I send her a MMS-Message, she receives it correctly. When she tries to send me a pic (f.e. Photo001.jpg), I only get a MMS with a Textfile called Photo001.txt.
Does anyone know, how to fix this problem?
Thank you very much.

Hey Everyone,
need a bit of help.
Does anyone known if it is possible to send and receive picture messages.
Because a friend of mine send me 2 picture messages and I did not receive them.
Is it that the xda 2 does not support picture message if that is the case does anybody known of a third party software that I couold use?
Regards
Luigi
The XDA/MDA II can send and receive MMS (which may contain pictures). The problem is probably with your provider. On O2 Germany, for example, you first have to enable receiving MMS on their website - they figure it wouödn't make much sense to send MMS to a mobile that doesn't support receiving them, so it's turned off by default.

I got a matter for a week about mms on I-Mate Kjam.My MMS profile of the provider i'm in is correct,i've checked it many times. The trouble is that:when i try to receive an mms,mms comes but can not be downloaded. There is no message sign on the board and when i try to move anything by pressing the monitor,it gets crazy n starts to repeat rhytmic message opening actions,i cannot correct anything.Besides when i open text messages part as a tree,i do not see any MMS messages parts, there are Text Messages Hotmail Messages and Outlook Messages but no MMS messages, either i'll throw the phone somewhere or i'm gonna burn it,so please help me
If you're gonna burn it you might as well give it to me... I can always use an extra wizard
Seriously try installing this file... That should sort out your problem...
Hi there, had exactly the same thing with my new Wizard, fixed it perfectly by following these instructions,,,,
http://www.expansys.com/ft.aspx?i=124833&thread=29
These instructions are for Vodafone, so you may need to substitute your own providers settings, but it worked for me!
Hello everyone,
Im using that palm sms threader on my cingular 8525 and everytime I go to send a new MMS it says that I am out of memeory....but I am not at all...
so I wanted to reinstall my arcsoft mms...
can someone post a link to an arcsoft mms cab? all the links I searched online are dead.
Thanks!
I also would like to get that program.
either that or someone can help me solve the out of memory error when sending an MMS? It shows up all the time, even when no other programs are opened at startup...
please help.
I have the same issue when I use the Palm SMS app, but for some reason my girlfriend doesn't. We both have 8525's mine has vp3g's WM6 on it and my girlfriend has just the standard at&t rom image. Even when we both had the same rom I still had issues that I couldn't figure out, like it wouldn't link from the camera and the out of memory issue
what are you using for mms then?
Unfortunatly I went back to the default app. I like the Palm app alot, but I moblog at work for something to do and I send around 15 pix a night, so not having mms is a real issue. I don't want to have to use email or some other type of setup, I paid for a phone that does mms and by gosh I am gonna use it!!
I'm a newby, and I was able to change the OS on my T-Mobile Wing (running 6.1 with I guess an Open Touch rom). The only problem that I've been having is that I am NEVER able to send or receive picture (MMS) messages? Anyone know about this problem, or can help? Any kind of help would be appreciated!
run the network setup wizard on your phone
Hi,
I'm using a Sim Free Touch Diamond 2 on T-Mobile UK. Got a strange problem going on at the moment.
When someone sends me an SMS (From any network T-Mobile, Orange, O2 etc). I usually get the MMS with the picture downloaded within a couple of minutes. I can view this on the phone as you would expect. BUT, two days later I will then receive a TXT from T-Mobile saying that someone has send me a MMS, please go to http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/pmcollect - When I go and login the same picture message is waiting for me...?
Anyone else had this problem? Strange thing is that this only appears to have started happening since I returned from a trip to europe.
I've tried T-Mobile customer service - all they can suggest is that this is probably a setting on the handset....
Can anyone help or throw any light on this?
Cheers,
A.
Hi
I am having the same problem.and also experiancing sms coming through late or not at all. however i actualy work for T-Mobile.. and know its not a problem with the D2..it is more likely network issues. but am not aware of any issues..i will speak to technical next time i can and will let you know what they say..i is starting to bug me as well but it is some thing that started for me back in June and i was using my D1 at the time..
Hi there,
I have a similar problem.
When I receive a MMS I only get a sms/text notification saying that I have received a MMS and that I have to go to the t-mobile website. I can't view the mms on my phone.
Is this because I need to install a program to view the MMS?
I am able to send MMS, I just sent a MMS to myself and I received it without a problem, but as a sms/text message, not the MMS itself.
Really annoying!
Hoping to get an answer.
Cheers!
It sound like a problem with your settings...
Go to the t-mobile website :
http://support.t-mobile.co.uk/help-and-support/index?page=home&cat=SOFTWAREDOWNLOADS
and send the settings to the phone once installed do a soft reset.
you should install both MMS and internet settings...
if this still doesnt work then you may have to try setting them up manualy ..
Heres a link to the manual on how to do it and the settings you need:
http://support.t-mobile.co.uk/help-and-support/index?page=selectphone&phone=HA176
if that still doesnt work you will need to call customer service there maybe a problem with the settings on your account. tell them you have done the above steps cos they will want to do them again with you and if you get someone in the phillipines this not a easy task.. they should transfer you to technical support and they will sort it..
any more problems just ask as i have worked for T-Mobile for nearly 4 years..
Thank you!!
It worked!! Thank you very much!
The first option didn't work as I have a dutch number. I did try to send the mms options to my phone via the dutch t-mobile site but they don't have the settings yet for this phone!
I then googled for "t-mobile mms instellingen" (settings) and I found them. Did it manually and now it works like a charm.
For the dutch people interested, here is the site with the settings:
https://www.t-mobile.nl/persoonlijk...lgestelde-vragen.aspx?q=algemene instellingen
Thanks for pointing me in that direction!!
Cheers!
You normally get that text about going to the website to get your MMS when the network thinks your phones not MMS compatible or you don't have MMS messaging live on your acc.
Hi sorry only just getting back..
managed to speak to technical and what they said is they need 5 examples.
date time number and postcode of area you where in.
so they can raise the problem and get your mms profile reset and should then be fine.
