I'm trying to use OZ since I flashed my phone to the 2.24 ROM and installed the OZ client that came with the flash. Up until I made this upgrade I had no problems using OZ but now that I've upgraded I can't seem to connect and get a strange message (a msg I assume OZ is supposed to get) but it shows as a text message. Any ideas?
make sure you intstall it to the device.
i did it didnt seem to work still...
i mean i got it to got rid of the txt message error but now it says communications are busy please come back later or check your settings....
I have the same problems using x's 2.26 ROM. I've tried installing both to the card as well as teh device but no deal. When I try and log in, it takes forever, then I get a text sent to me with a bunch of garbage on it. Then about a minute late the program tells me it can't connect. Wierd thing is AIM thinks its getting in when I get that text sent to me because it complains on my PC that I'm logged in in 2 places. Oh well there's always AIM mobile even though its a PITA
edit: I tried disabling my IM forwarding on AIM Mobile and after I reinstalled OZ (cuase I uninstalled out of frustration) this time its working. Cool. So mayeb see if you have IM forwarding enabled and if so try killing it. At least it worked for me this time.

I have tzones internet on my phone and use it to get free internet and email. It has been working flawlessly until yesterday when I couldnt connect to the internet or check my email.
Heres whats going on. I connect to Tzones then when I try to load a webpage using Opera it gets stuck at the bottom status bar saying "sending request" then after about 45 seconds it says "Error 502 Bad Request The server could not resolve our request for url:http://www.msn.com" I also cant check my pop3 email either. I can connect to tzones fine, but i cant get do anything once ive connected..
My brothers phone is doing the exact same thing also. I cant fugure it out! i have tried to delete and reinstall Tzones but that didnt help... ive also tried to do numerous soft resets and that didnt help. I need this fixed ASAP... Im going on a business trip friday and would DIE if i didnt have my free Tzones...

HoFo is full of threads (oh Hofo) about this. Apparently its down for many today. I have been able to get through using the proxy though (on my Dash), but my Mom's MDA is fine through the proxy as well.
BTW if its that important to you, you don't think its worth paying for?? Whatever?
Why is slick not working for my titan, it worked well for a day, but now i get an error messeger saying there is no network but i have an unlimited data plan? Palringo works fine but i want slick back, any ideas on why this might be happening, I have WM 6.1 rom updated to 3.56, my coworker has the same phone and rom but his slick works and i put it on his phone, i dont understand the problem, please help
If you recently soft reset your phone you have to manually connect to the data stream...Slick will not auto connect

If I understand you right, it's not connecting to the network.
If you open Slick, then go to: Menu -> Configuration -> Access Point...
Change it to: The Internet
It should then connect first to your data provider, then to your chat program.
Hopefully that's what you were referring to. Obviously make sure to setup your settings (ie, login/pw) for each account first.
I have to set my Access Point to "Sprint" for it to auto connect, FYI.
All this is set up just fine, it just keeps giving me a Connection Error messege, i looked at my cooworkers and the setting are the same, but his works and i gave him the same updates, i dont get it

I've been searching and searching to see if there was a post about this already and haven't seen one. With every phone I had before my G1 I was able to send SMS messages during a phone call. Currently my G1 is not able to do so. Does anyone else have this problem? Has it been resolved? or Am I expecting too much from my G1? I have been on the phone with T-Mobile for 6 months now trying to figure it out and "engineering" has yet to come up with a solution. Any suggestions?
I think it might depend what type of service youre connected to....
I can send sms fine when I'm on the phone and connected to 3g. I'm using 5.0.2h build.
When you say "type of service" do you mean the fact that I have T-Mobile?
Sorry I meant whether or not youre on 3G, 2G, or just plain ol G.

Well I checked in the Phone Info and I noticed that once I get on a phone call my GPRS service goes from connected to suspended and sometimes disconnected. I am not sure why this happens. I also noticed that when this happens I will get the persons text message continually. My phone worked fine when I first got it. I also just rooted and installed the 1.5rev3. Still the same thing. Any ideas?
Did you ever install any of the radio updates through your rooting process
You said you're using r3 of ADP1.5.

Yes I actually did that radio update a few hours before you posted this. I am in the process of testing it. So far out of 6 tries I have only one successful attempt of being able to text while on the phone. I am going to run the update you listed and retest the phone just incase something went wrong during the installation.

Okay so here is the update. The phone is still doing the same thing. I say 50% of calls my GPRS Services goes from Connected to Suspended during a call.
Is this good? I know it should always be Connected.
I installing CM7.2 and SMS no longer works.
I have tried,
installing new SMS program.
Going threw settings but cant see anything out of the ordinary.
Changing the SMSC to the one for my carrier both in normal format and in PDU format
rebooting after every change
going on telstra website and asking to be sent the settings
Oh re changing the settings in baseband switcher
Nothing works, Is it as simple as something is disabled?
I wish I could find a rom that would work without crashing or things not working!
I had problem connecting to Telstra 3G (see: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1634366#). But works fine on 2G. Is this similar to you?

Looks like its back to ICS again! I dont use the camera at all so thats the only problem I come across.

Maybe telstra SMS service is down?
Ok put my sim card into my old sony ericsson cedar and it wont send.
Should of done that first now I flashed a ROM for no reason

Ok I rang telstra and they reset the account all is working again. The service people dont have a clue. They didnt even know how to get into change the SMSC number, Lucky I did if I didnt there would be no way I would find it. It was right anyway and they gave me the +61 number that doesnt work on androids lol no clue at all.
Now I have reinstalled CM7.2 again! telstra are a pain in the arse.
hey so I've been able to use the stock USB tethering on my Mako using using CM10.1 RC2 but i realized that T-mobile actually has been filtering my usage on other services on my computer like Steam account verifying or any browser aside from my default so i decided to go back and use my PDA Net+ app to try it. it used to work just fine for sure on stock ROM and i believe also since i've been using CM 10.1
So anyway whenever i try to use PDA Net it says, "Internet not detected on your phone. Please make sure you have good data service and try again." the problem here is i have perfect HSPA+ coverage. i tried taking out the SIM card and rebooting the phone, which worked a few times to get PDA Net to work again but now after like 3 tries it doesn't work at all and i consistently get that error message.
Has anybody else had this problem? should i update my CM, try another custom ROM? i tried reaching out to the PDA Net support but they gave me some bull crap generic response that was just plain old butt-stupid lol. Any help would be much appreciated!
