Tested on my 818pro and working well. But little bit slow. My friend use Wizard also work fine.
Extract the file, you have 2 cab file.
The first one with name 1_o2p202200106_wm5s.cab
The second one with name 2_O2Plus.v2.0.Patch.cab
Copy those 2 files to your device.
1. Run the first one, do not soft reset
2. then install the second one
3. Soft reset
Enjoy
what does exactly o2PLUS include (is it their SMS plus or dialling thing or what?) In case it is say SMS, does it REPLACE original apps?
too bad it isn't vga
Can you upload the other stuff also :
O2 SMS Plus ,O2 MediaPlus ,O2 Setup Wizard,O2 Self Diagnostic ,FM Radio ?

'O2 Plus can work on WM5.0 PDA' can someone tell me what this program is for and how good is it?
Is the o2 Active User Interface asian version...o2 AUI is slowing the device but this o2 Plus is something that is ... just something that i wouldn't want on my device ... poor design too much space ocuppied on the screen (not to talk about the flickering) not very intuitive ... and not to be modest but even a rookie can make this plugins in max a week.
This is my first impression on o2 XDA Exec running on latest WWE RUU.
I'm only interested in the other apps of the package related to radio, music player , equalizer - they look nice in the snapshot on their seeo2 website.

I found a copy of Cyberon Voice Commander 1.6 (not the crappy Voice Speed Dial) here and tried to run it on my Verizon XV6700. Not only did it mess up the hardware button configuration on my device - the program wouldn't run, saying that it's not supported on my device.
In looking further, I found out that the main executable was looking for the hardware ID string PU10 (for the Universal). I changed it to PA10A1, which is the ID for my XV6700 (Sprint users may be slightly different, I don't know), used the SignCode program here to re-sign the modified application, and it worked fine on my XV6700!
I found out that the HKLM\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceCommand registry key was the reason my hardware button mapping was getting all screwy. I removed that registry entry, modified the VCStatic.INI file's HotKey entry, and the button assignment is working fine now. I just have to manually assign the Record button (or whatever you want) to "Voice Commander."
ftp://xda:[email protected]/Uploads/Programs/Unsigned_cvc16-ppc-xv6700-usa.CAB
As I understand it, Sprint users with the new ROM update might have Voice Commander already embedded. I just thought I might give an alternative to Microsoft Voice Command and to Verizon XV6700 users who are still... waiting for their corresponding ROM update.
Do you think you would be able to modify this file to work on the 8125? I wouldn't mind "compensating" you in any way I can (I can offer some web hosting if you would like some).
Can you tell me what the model number is of the Cingular 8125?
For instance, the Universal was PU10, while the Apache was PA10A1. The program looks for that particular model number.
The model number is WIZA100
And for my Qtek 9100 ?
The model number is WIZA200
Thanks !
Not trying to push but my trial for Microsoft Voice Commander was up today and I want to know if I I should really spend the $50.00 or if this will work for what I need it to do.
Any news on the program?
I have a 6700 and have no issues running the microsoft voice command 1.5 with many bluetooth earpeaces. You need to install the following http://forum.xda-developers.com/download.php?id=7396 and then modify the registry. Take a look at the registry key HKLM\software\OEM\voicecommand and there is a subkey you can change from sddialer.exe to \program files\voice command\voicecmd.exe
Thats it. When you press on your bluetooth headset button you will hear the microsoft voice command chime. It works for me and it will work for you.

Thanks for creating these BTT. Would you mind if at some point I integrate the wiz100 version into a custom ROM for the 8125?
Bluetooth Headset Problem
I have done that to my 8125 however it didn't work. I still have the same issue with BT not working until a reset.
Here is something I tried that is working for me...

Would it be possible to throw a build together for the JAMin?
The JAMin's model number is: PM300
Thanks in advance!!!
Thanks BeyondtheTech !
Will this also work with a GERMAN QTEK 9100 ROM ? I have an MDA VARIO ( which is the HTC WIZARD ) - so the ID is the same.
I am basically interested in how much better Voice Commander is compared to the Voice Speed Dial.
I read something about an SMS Reader on the Cyberon Homepage - what does this do? Will it read out received SMS?
On the Homepage there is also a PDF I downloaded which states different language packs. From the naming of your .CAB ( usa ) I guess yours is only for english devices or used with the english language.
Anychance I can get a hold of the GERMAN Language Pack as well?
Best regards & thanks for all your effort!
Will this work for WM 2003 ppc?
Can you please make a Version for the MIO A701
The ID is
PXA270
Thanks. NAdavi
BTT, can you create one for the BA with WM5? Device is PH20B. Thanks.

I tried that but cant find the device id. How are you searching?
hi, i am getting my HTC wizard, hopefuly, tomorrow morning. can you tell me if there are any things, apps ect i should instal/do on my new wizard?? cheers, matt
A few things:
- Get something to make the OK/Close button *actually close* things rather than just minimise them. Various apps including vBar, Magic Button, etc. I use Smartskey by Water: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=41060
- Get a free registry editor (I use PHM Registry Editor), & have a look on this forum for different tweaks to do. Or, get a free tweaking app, like http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=39725&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 . Or a paid-for tweak app, like tweaks2k2.
- Get a nice big 2GB miniSD card.
- Get TCPMP media player, handles divx, xvid, & more. http://tcpmp.corecodec.org/about
- Get PocketDivxEncoder for your PC, to shrink videos down to PDA size http://divx.ppccool.com/
- Get a launcher app, like SBSH's iLauncher, or SPB's Pocket Plus. I use iLauncher.
- Get something to replace the crappy buit-in Calendar & Tasks plug-ins on the Today screen, like SBSH's Pocketbreeze.
- Have a general search of this forum for stuff.
1) purchase and install [or have someone install] a screen protector
2) purchase a better case [optional]
3) purchase a better stylus [optional]
4) purchase a memory card [go big if you intend to use the wiz as your media device]
5) if it doesn't have the latest ROM update it.
6) download AS and sync with your desktop/notebook.
7) browse over the manual for some info.
8) install software to improve your experience. install only what you need and will be using.
9) when you have it setup and synced do a backup
10) ENJOY!
- Make a Rom Upgrade to 2.1x (can't say it often enough  ) for more speed and stability
- Brando Display Protector
- 2GB MiniSD
- ActiveSync 4.1 or newer (i think v 4.0 is delivered, it's realy sh**)
- register mail2web live service for free hosted exchange
- WMStorage for using the Wizard as a USB Stick on Computer w/o activesync
- TomTom 5 for Navigation
- Bluetooth GPS Mouse for Navigation
- If you are a network freak, you need vxutil

firstmost and absolutely - get a backup app. SPB Backup, Sunnysoft backup, Sprite Backup are some of your options there. Quite possibly one of the first things you'll want to get - do a backup right after you set things up the way you like them (and installed maybe a few apps), so you can always go back to that clean slate without having to re-enter/tweak everything after a hard reset (hopefully you'll never have to, but odds are that you will). After that, regular backups to help protect your data.
Edit: actually - check what ROM is on it, check what ROMs are available, and upgrade to the latest (unless there's good reason not to) - or your 'clean slate' backup is going to be pointless after the ROM upgrade

Just to be clear - Upgrading an O2 Mini S with the latest O2 ROM won't void the warranty. Likewise for other flavours. This is jolly good thing to do.
Unlocking your O2 Mini S and flashing a, say, iMate ROM would.
Sorry to point out the bleedin obvious.
Wait, I don't think summitters' test ROM's (which is what I thought was being referred to) would be included. I'm sure that would void any Cingular or HTC warranty.
Woah nice thread especially WMStorage tip.
Getting mine today Cudo!
So I've started a top ten things to do WHEN I receive it !!!!

Hopefully I'll be able to "flash my ROM" ( I love that saying!).
Currently it is on T-mobile, but I want to use my PAYG o2 SIM.
Then I'd like to find my wifi home network and surf the net
I've already got a 1g mem card, so will try that
Will try to copy my tomtom files to the new mem card and test that?
Will order a screen protector
Will text all my m8s, just to show off
Will put me Nokia 3230 on eBay
Will look for a new case asI don't want the T mobile branding on it
(Any ideas ??????)
Finally I will continue to look and read posts on here and not forget to thank everybody for their help!
Cheers,
Scutter

i also got my on sunday, my 1st ppc.
how would i overclock?
and how do i turn it into a GPS/
thanks
Do a search for omap
And get Sling Box Mobile. Of course you will need your own SlingBox or have access to a friends.
This will allow you to watch cable tv on your phone with the unlimited data plan.
What kind of screen protector is the correct type? What about a link to a decent case too?
Do you guys keep your wizards in a case or just keep it hanging around in your pockets? Worried about damaging the thing but getting it out of the case to answer a call is a tad annoying.
install Smartskey
install DKToday for keeping track of your free minutes and sms counts.
install AEBlus button mapper for more functionality of the buttons
install MortSaver for locking device while playing MP3
install WM5NewMenu for the new button like in 2003SE
install doruchenka cab for permanent sms notification on
The best Screen Protector in the markt is "EXiM" there are two types of it, one is "Ultra Clear" and the other is "Ultra Protect".
I purchased "EXiM Ultra Protect" and it kicks the Brando's butt
Once after you install it, you won't notice it, and when you use your stylus to write, you can feel that you are writing on a paper.
I got mine from an Online Shop in Germany, here is the website http://www.nexave.de/displayschutzfolien/

What speed do you recomend for stability?
recently the Eten M600 team came out with a ROM upgrade that allows for the PDA to utilize the phone speakers when using Skype. The user uses the PDA as a normal phone to make Skype calls without the use of headset or external speakers (where everyone around you can hear what the conversation is about).
Is such a hack possible with the HTC Universal? It would be really cool if we could use our PDA as a normal phone when talkin on Skype instead of relying on accessories if we do not want to use the speakerphone.
or am i just dreaming and if i wanted to, i would have to switch to the m600?

You can use the Universal as a normal phone when talking on Skype. It doesn't need any hacking or tampering. It never even occurred to me to plug the headset in before using Skype.
well for me when i use skype, the sound comes out from the main speakers and not the phone speaker which is what i want to. any ideas?
Bizarre!
You using the latest version?
yeah i am using the latest Skype which was released on Feb 14th. and my HTC Universal is loaded with the latest Qtek ROM which supports A2DP and Push-Mail.
Basically the sound comes out from the main speakers which are located on the same side as the volume slider, IR port and a few other buttons.
I would like to direct the sound to the speaker which I use when I talk on the phone on a normal phone conversation and without any accessories such as headset or BT headset.
Are you sayin that your sound comes from the phone speaker and not the main speakers?

Yes; when I use Skype on the Universal I use it in exactly the same way I would make a normal call i.e. by holding the phone to my ear like any other phone. The sound comes out of the speaker on the lid of the universal, not from the stereo speakers on the edge.
I'm using the latest ROM (Orange), the latest radio ROM and a combination of iMate and Orange Extended ROMs.
I am experiencing the same problem. I have the latest QTEK ROM and installed the latest version of Skype (2.0). When I make a Skype call the sound gets routed through the main speaker and not the telephone speaker. Also, when I try to connect my bluetooth headset Microsoft Voice Command gets activated and disconnects my bluetooth hands free connection after not recognizing the voice tag.
Well, the only thing that leaps off the page at me is the fact that you're both using the Qtek ROM whilst I'm using the Orange one. Could that be it, d'you think?
that could be one reason but i am not really keen at doin a full hard reset just to test it out. wonder what's the difference in ROM between the Qtek and Orange.
by the way, does your Orange ROM come with Skype pre-installed? or did you install it yourself?
Er...off the top of my head, I think I installed it myself.
hmm thats weird considerin that you are on the latest orange ROM because there are people with the same orange ROM who have sounds coming out from the main speakers and not the phone ones.
Another thought, though I can't imagine it'd make a difference, is that I only use Skype over a WiFi connectio, not GPRS.
i am also using SKYPE over a WIFI connection but it still comes out of main speakers. and even when I use 3G/GPRS, it comes out of the main speakers too. could you list out the programs you installed?

I think this is a known SKYPE mobile software issue and according to the SKYPE forum they are working to resolve this issue in their next release software.

i noticed your tomtom installation and i think you're using tomtom5.0 right? you mean you managed to get it to work with your universal? i only managed to get 5.21 to work with it.
No, I'm also running 5.21.
i see. thanks for the info.
well i went over to skype website and their developers said that the next release of skype will solve the sound coming out from main speakers problem.
hopefully that fix comes soon.
This is for the touch, but I dont see why it wont work on the Hermes. Good luck.

If you didnt know, this is to stream live video to the internet. It can be viewed at qik.com. I installed it and it launches but then closes right away. Maybe someone who is better at this can have a look and see if it can be made to work.
edit:I extraced the .cab and see that the .xml file has this line; <parm name="OSVersionMax" value="6.0" /> and Im running 6.1. What can I use to recompress this into a .cab after changing that value?
Hey just an fyi
Thanks for posting. I thought I would let you know it worked on my vzw 6800. Previously when I went to dl it said not supported.
Give Livecast a try it works on the 8525

Same problem
Hi-- i just tried the kaiser version on my hermes and it works, but it closes as soon as I hit stream. I'm convinced its because I don't have a chance to log into my qik account and it won't let me stream to whoever's account my cab is set up for. I also don't see why it wouldn't work for mine.
I do use livecast, but I only get 100 mb... at highest settings 300kb/s upstream... usually average around 150 kb in practice, I get about 1.5 hours worth of video. So, i was hoping to be able to get more storage out of qik... if anyone has a fix or workaround for the qik cabs on a hermes I'd love to hear it.
Otherwise, right on with previous poster.. .livecast rules!!!
