I upgraded my xda using the sd-card method. It worked for a few days, but then i was not able to connect to my pc. I downgraded to irish o2 3.14.13eng via sd-method. radio version is still 4.21. Now the phone is not functioning at all. It says "no signal". How can i go back to my old 4.16 version and keep the 3.14.13 rom?
BTW: i tried to downgrade to 4.16 via the exe. filef rom irish o2 site, but i get the message "flash failed". HELP
I have an 8125 that was unlocked and loaded with T-mobile ROM version 2.17.7.2 WWE. Few days ago, the internet stopped working. I got the following error message: "The page can't be displayed or downloaded because the connection was lost. Check the connection & try again later". I have been having this problem for few days now, and even T-mobile tech support can't figure it out. I am using wap.voicestream.com for the GPRS apn.
If anybody has experienced similar problem and able to resolve it, please advice. Can't live without mobile internet here....

hey guys, ive refering to this site for a long time now but this is for the first time im posting something. Few days back i got my new o2 exec, and few days into the use, the screen went blank and it wont come on tried to restart it, took out the batt... no go, pluged in the charger still no go.
so then i took it to a mech and he told me that the bootloader has gone bad and it is showing no sectors and stuff and i had to shell out 1400 INR for getting it fixed.
Now can any one tell me what exactly what happned to it and if some one has experienced it before something similar, and also how to start the phone if it is not comming on at all :roll: .

If u hv yr battery well charged...press Light+power+soft reset and check if yr handset goes into bootloader..if u see"serial" then yr handset is not dead and nor the bootloader has gone bad.
you can then flash the ROM and yr handset will b alive..
Hmmmm...... , oks say now my phone is working as i got it fixed. Now if i press that key combination can i back out of it if in case i dont want to install a new ROM.
And ya could u tell me what is the latest ROM for o2 exec or universal, the one that i got rite now is:
ROM version: 1.30.107 WWE
ROM date : 04/11/06
Radio version 1.09.00
Protocol version 42.42.P8
ExtROM version 1.30.162 WWE
Also sometimes i get the msg "unable to obtain a server assigned IP address. Try again later r enter an IP address in Network settings.
Why this msg is comming up and what can i do to resolve it.

Yeah, I get that message about being unable to obtain a server-assigned IP address... What is causing it?
The program that is causing the error message unable to obtain server ip address is activesync on the device.
Use a taskmanager to kill off activesync and this message will dissapear.

The rom you have 1.30.107 WWE dated 4/11/06 is, as far as I know, the latest official O2 rom.
Hi guys i have just bought a HD2 from ebay. It was supposedly locked to o2 in the UK which was fine as thats my network and i thought it would save any problems.
This is the first phone of this kind i have bought so i was completly green when it came to the roms etc. Having read a bit it appears my phone is unlocked as i get the HTC splash screen when it starts and not the o2 screen.
I have also checked the spl and its 1.42.0000.
So ok im guessing it being unlocked shouldn't be a problem but the 'get location' and weather features won't work. When i try them i get a 'there was a connection error while trying to download weather data'.
Also when i view wireless Controls i cannot activate data connection and when i try i get 'The answering modem has disconnected' warning.
Does anyone have any idea what causes this and should i consider installing HSPL and a modded rom or is it possible to install an o2 stock rom and would this correct these issues ?

Hard reset the phone, and let the phone install your wireless data settings.
Sounds like it's not setup for O2 properly.

I need to know what is with my HTC.
I have the EU version of T-Mobile, Vodafone sim (I was in her shop to change. For new) In another phone runs normally.
So the problem is as follows. I had android 4.0.4 and there ceased to function signal, I put the phone to backup the default Windows Mobile 5.6 with official rom and radio (the latest version). The problem persists. But if I give another card to phone eg. O2, T-Mobile phone works normally. Vodafone card was connected corretly to this time. But not is'nt working.
I tried to choose network manually unfortunately found phone networks - click has been uploaded window "Registration in the network ..." A top searches for signal ... And it makes all the time and after a minute my phone reports that the network is not available. Coverage is here - H, G.
There is no problem in setting mobile network?
Or in ROM, SPL and another?
