Hello
I am new in the forum, greetings to all.
I have a problem. I installed in a T-Mobile MDA the Qtek 9100 Spanish Rom, Last version 2.18.7.8.
Everything works well, but now the slide-out keyboard like it was supposed to pass physically sample a thing and logically sample another, same as with a PC computer.
Some has a solution????
I want to conserve the Spanish Rom, but to change the logical keyboard to english, so that the symbols that appear in the keys of the slide-out keyboard corresponds to the symbols that appear in the screen.

In the registry, create a new registry String value Locale at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Keybd with the value 0409.
Also give a search to this stuff.
Ready, Thank you.
One question more?
Which is the best way to use a voice recognition software (like Fonix VoiceDial) with a hands free bluetooth with only press a button ???
Right now, using the BTToggle utility, but with my old ipaq h6345 this step was not necessary
I want press the Talk button and using my bluetooth headset for calling to the fonix application.
Thank you

Or use value 0809 if 0409 is already there.

Hi
I am a newbie at Windows Mobile en specific my brand new Qtek 2020. In these forums I read that e.g. updates are country specific and can be edited before upgrade. Now is my question: I bought my Qtek in the Nethelands but there not a single program in dutch (e.g. SMS has a sort of T9 function, but only with english words and not dutch words)
I have set my Qtek to Dutch Region Settings etc, but still.....
What makes a Ducth Qtek Dutch and an Dansk Qtek Dansk etc.
Arjan
they change the text and translate the text to the other language
so to change the language one have to change the rom
but far from all languages are supportet
dansk is not
dont think any of the scandinavian languages are
not sure about dutch
of cause the language of the rom dont change the language of software later installed on the device
imho much like normal windows then if one want a 1 language only on the system then english is the way to go otherwise it'll be a mixture of languages at best
I will look into that. I do not have any problem using English language, bterr yet I prefer to, however it would be great when sending SMS that T9 function works with dutch words instead of the english ones.
Any dutch Qtek users (or MDAII of SPV) have the same experience (try typing woorden and I get Worked or Wooden).
How can I set this to Dutch?

The link to the QWERTZ fix .cab is gone on this site (posted in 2004)
I want to type correctly in English on the QWERTZ keyboard layout in my O2 Trion , replacing the QWERTY standard layout provided by WM6 Black 1.0.

Regedit with other values does not do the trick. Suggestions please...

Still looking for help
here is something for German QWERTZ:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=279158
Recently bought a HTC Touch Cruise (Polaris) with Portuguese language and do not know how to get there the Cyrillic characters.
The strange is that when I receive messages the PDA recognizes very well such characters but I don't know how can I write them there.
At XDA I found some "*.cab" to use but I'm afraid that using one of them I will lose my Portuguese keyboard...
So, I would ask if anyone knows, has or may indicate a track so I can also get the Cyrillic characters without loose my portuguese keyboard?
Thanks.
You can use PCM Keyboard. It's free.
Then, you will have 2 layout; Russian and Portuguese.

Thanks a lot!
I saw inside the ".cab" and there isn't portuguese language...
It means that I must execute him just to add a new keyboard without erase my actual portugue keyboard?
there IS russian layout for touch keyboards... but I just don't know how to configure it... yet
If you set Pcm Keyboard, it will not erase your portuguese keyboars since PCM and HTC Keyboard are 2 different keyboards.
Portuguese layout is here.

Thanks!
I've instaled that keyboard and I've changed it because there was not the leter Ë nor ë (they were missing).
I put them near the "X","x". So that, I put shorter the "<-"...
To make a diccionary I've selected words from a full rusian site (deleting duplicates) but the sugestions are not showed when I'm writing...
Do you know why....?

As I said before I've instaled version 0,13 in HTC with Portuguese ROM and it was ok.
But now I had to install v0,14 and both Touch Keyboard (simple and numeric) and now only the numbers works... Letters and signals are off...
How can I solve this?...
So, as we all do, I 2 have a TyTn/Hermes ect. and i am from Latvia. Pamēģini Tildes biroja 2002 instalācijas diskā esošo WINCE direktoriju. Tur ir visādi faili, ar kuriem ir vērts paniekoties. Man pašam nav QWERTY klaviatūras, tādēļ pats pārbaudījis praksē neesmu. Vismaz ektāna tastatūra darbojas labi uz WM5 un WM6.

That's not a very smart solution.
Hey, check out this thread. These users, Joseng and dioxda2, have successfully did it for Chinese (traditional & simplified, even Hongkong/Cantonese characters)! You just need to PM them for Japanese fonts...voila! At least that's what I guess.
thancks for reply BumAround.
font are not a problem, i read japanese with no-problem.
My problem is:
I need to have keyboard (input) of Japanese characters ..
thank you anyway for your reply ..

Well, read before you replied, my friend.
Why don't you go to the thread I was referring to and learn a bit about language pack. Maybe the users I mentioned know about Japanese IME (keyboard/handwriting input).
And yes, fonts matter, and you're gonna need them for display support.
ah, ok boy, very thanks for you reply -^

I tried that solution but the keyboard is very awkward to use with my hands, I have very big fingers ...
thanks all the same anyway
Hi Guys,
I'm user of HT2 (T9193) with completely Japanese style. Reading and writing no issue at all
Although I have slightly bigger finger than you p), I can input correct word through keyboard, no problem.
I'm using FingerKeyboard. Thanks to all pioneers, we have a lot of skins for Japanese, too. (You can refer mine as attachment.)
Please try it.
