I'm wondering what is the best way to read a received Chinese SMS using an English verion Dopod 838 Pro? Some people have said I need to d/load some software or something Hoping someone out there can help this poor soul

if you a Dopod user, go to the dopod international site and sign up as a member. you will find an application called CE-Star at their member download site. it's free for members. this application will enable chinese for you.

I've tried registering on the Dopod website, but they do not have the CE-Star software that you talk about. I even called up Custumer Service and they say not on their website
Can you suggest where else to d/load? Which website?

don't go to the mobem site as you will have to purchase it. go to this site and it's free for dopod owners.

there is a menu "Sign Up as Member" just below the small photo on the left. click that and sign up following the instructions. then you can access the member page where you will find ce-star.

I just came to know that Dopod 838 pro, comes with bundled software for recognising business card which is PenPower's WorldCard Mobile business card recognition software. I am having Imate Jasjam, can anybody advise does the software work with Jasjam and can anybody using Dopod 838 pro load the same for all of us..

It said it support CHT 9000, which is a Hermes.
Yeh it works perfectly with Dopod 838pro. And yes, I can load, but then again you need a serial for it to work. Do you still want me to upload it?

yah it will work on the JasJam becaue i have it installed on my JasJam and it works flawlessly. Really impressive software btw!

I recently got my Ameo and had to unlock the network, which I did and I upgraded to WM6. Now my RealVGA is missing and I can't set the resolution. PK3 loaded but looks terrible on start menu and can't read the list very well. Anybody got a solution for me? Much appreciated.
