Hello all,
I have upgraded my Qtek 1010 form its original Rom lvl to T-Mobile 4.00.21 Eng,
I had couple of problems with this Upgrade, so I decided to fallback the changes but whenever I run PROGRAMM A I got the following msg in the DOS session:
ERROR: GetConnectionType - An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.
error getting connectiontype
I don't know where the problem is!!!!
Please help me to move on.

Hi ..
if you took the time to read through this forum before upgrading you should have found that by upgrading to either 4.00.16 or 4.00.21 you have no way to change the ROM except using the SD card method.

I managed to download the ROM to SD Hardrest the device, but which ACTION key should I press to accepts the Load from SD?
I've pressed "Power button" and got 4 colors screen "Whit, Red, Green, and Blue" with the title WALLABY Bootloader V5.15 and at the bottom GSM OK......
Guys What should I do? Wait.... Reset.....
I've been waitting more than 5 mints and nothing chane!!!!!!!

The "Action" key is activated by pressing the middle of the 4-way joypad switch.

pda-hack.net_rw68xx_ExtROM_emul.cab (3,97 Mb) - some applications needs ExtROM, this package can emulate it. Install after flash or put it into '\Cabs' directory before flashing for autoinstall
SdkCerts.cab (4,59 Kb) - certificates for patches
pda-hack.net_hp_rw6815_camera_patch_rus.rar (594 Kb, russian interface) or pda-hack.net_hp_rw6815_camera_patch_wwe.rar (594 Kb, english interface) - patch for camera (start old HP application), install AFTER certificates
To flash press & hold soft-keys, then push reset, after HP logo is appear, release soft-keys and don't touch anything. After flashing device automatic reboot in hard reset.
For HP iPAQ rw6828 you must skip steps 5, 6 (tested by Roma), for HP iPAQ rw6818 not tested.

once you updated to Windows Mobile 6 it gonna work well or some functions need to be patched

Can you please tell me where are the "soft-keys", and can I use 2 Gb card?
Has anyone tried this and if so how does it seem to work and what problems did you run into

If you're asking a question like "where are the 'soft-keys'?", I'd have to say I'm sot sure you're up to flashing (and possibly bricking) your own phone... but anyway!
The 'soft-keys' are the two [-] keys on the phone... called "soft" because their action changes depending on what is on the screen at the time (i.e. what is written above them).

hy there,
when i was updating a qtek1010 to wm2003SE rom, that was cooked in romkitchen, the upgrade stoped at 99%.
now i can only get into the bootloader.
bootloader version : 5.15
i've searched, and now i'm trying to upgrade from SD MMC, when i'm using OSImageTool.exe , i open the nk.nbf, destination SD MMC, then it displays this error, (NK.nbf:incorrect filesize(33554463), file should be exactly 32505888 bytes. error opening input file)
What should I do???

Download an other ROM. THE NK.nbf-Fiel you have is the WM2003SE ROM. This file can not be written through XDA-Tools.
Download anoteher WM2003 or PPC2002 ROM, flash your device via SD-Card and the run the exe File of the WM2003SE-ROM.....

but now, when i put the sdd in the qtek1010, on the bootloader nothing apears.. only :
WALLABY
Bootloader
V5.15
GSM OK
and when i press action button it displays a diagnostics list like "ram, display, touch etc..."
what am i doing wrong?
what can i do?
i've putted the sdd card in a HP photosmart to copy the .nb1 file.. is this wrong?

Looks like the ROM isn´t written correct to the card.
Otherwise it will show directly in bootloader that you can install the new ROM.
I´m nearly sure the HP Photosmart causes this problem. Do you have access to another SD-Card writer?

LL Clean Boot
LL+ML HSDPA_CAL wait for modem on
LL+UL Download image
LL+T SD Loader
or LL+LR
ML Modem on
ML+LR boot with usb kitl
UL Download qualcomm image
UL+LR Format
If someone comes up with the latest rom for the 614 series would be great or with a newer rom than 0.52 radio and 0.34 OS.

hw6915 That is my last drive of that company. More will not buy from them never. They do not have software support. Never anymore HP. No WM6 for my device. Never anymore HP.
I agree, though the 614 is very nice, but old rom is a bit slow!

You guy's are just a bunch of crying babies. This machine is just about 1 month on the market, and you're already crying for a 'new' ROM.
It has WM6 build 18125.0.4.2 ; ROM version MP-1.00.01 ; Bootloader MP-1.00.01 ; BT Radio = BlueCore 4.7.3 ; WLAN Radio = 9.7.3.10 ; Phone = MP-0077-140108

After install a IME application from storage card My IPAQ 614c don't work. I have called the HP support. They todl me: mail the phone and reflashing ROM. The guy from don't no the money and time?

i just got a 614c and i installd swedish keybord. and wen i reset the phone it starts but the screan just gos black. i dont understand wath hapend.
and i dont understand how to use the boot keys can someone help me please
i had own the phone 30min and den i broke.
turn off your device by having along press on power or remove battery
then press voice comm +SR+power
you will see the device do a clean boot

But nothing happens for 20 minutes!!!!! Another try ran 8-10 hours without an effect...
So what have I to do that it downloads the image?
I've got HP 614c and a 2GB Memmory Card --> SD Loader runs with updates from it....

download image is to be used when you are unable to update rom via SDloader from SD card (e.g. card is broken, bootloader is crashed...)
you surely need utility running on PC which will upload ROM image from PC to ipaq in "download image" mode

for the solution of updating ROM on ipaq with crashed bootloader.
