Hi
Is there any way to remap the keys on the slide-out keyboard? I want a £ symbol, not the $ symbol, and to enter it I have to get the stylus out and use either the pop-up keyboard or transcriber.
Also, is there any way of choosing which symbols appear on the transcriber pop-up symbol bar, and remapping the stroke used in transcriber for inserting a space? I'm used to the P900 where a stroke left to right would enter a space, just as in the 'letter recogniser' input method under windows. Getting used to the down then across stroke is annoying.
Cheers

There seems to be a method floating around here...
In the interim, assuming your not entering £ symbols constantly, the following keystrokes will get your desired output:
(DOT=bottom left key)
DOT <G> DOT <SPACE> DOT <SPACE>
Its very easy to get the £ on the Wizard. Just type a $ sign, then hold the dot and push the space bar twice. Viola!
there must be a way of making the £ sign the default!!!
Its weird how there are so many versions of HTC products that are all subtly different... on the O2 XDA Mini S you have both - the "$" is mapped to F, and "£" is the V key.
If that helps
(probably not)
na didnt help just gives me a + sign thanks any way.
Does anyone know of a software to remap the keyboard??
read this

For those having trouble working the Sym key (dot-letter-dotHold-Sym to cycle through alternatives), please keep in mind that it only works in certain applications. For example, it works fine in Pocket Word - but it doesn't work in the Notes application; on my Qtek9100 anyway
If I press blue dot button and l letter it should give me ä letter but now it gives me = letter. How to change that. I have scandinavian keyboard.
Rom version 1.18.255.3.
And last time I did hard reset there wasn't this problem, this is odd.
Ah I found the software I needed and now it's working
Hello, I have a Cingular 8525. I installed WM_XDA_Live_v0.10 and everything seems to be working normal, except my keyboard subkeys. When i hit the blue cirgle to trigger a subkey, "@" for example, triggers the "?" key. It seems that it triggers the subkey of the button to the left of the one i pushed. Anyone else having this problem?
My OEM Keyboard layout is set to U.S
oops...nevermind I found Kyphur's post on fixes.

Hello,
I installed TouchPal keyboard but I could never get it working. I would change the input setting to TouchPal but it always loaded the default keyboard. I have now got a problem where I only can type numbers out, no matter what input method I select.
If I press 'ABC' it will type a '1' instead, and so on. I Googled and found out that others have had this problem as well, and it has been fixed by uninstalling TouchPal, which I have now done, but the problem still exists.
What can I do?
Thanks
EDIT:
Nevermind, I did a few more soft resets and it appears to be back to normal now. I guess I'll just stick with the default keyboard!
