Ah, Lost my Motorola HS-850 which worked fine with Voice Command, been going through a number of different units, the Jabra J10, Motorola H700 both great headsets except for the fact that they seem to mess up and stop working after a first phone call that started with Microsofts Voice Command. I think the problem is due to the fact that Voice Command doesn't close the bluetooth connection properly since the built in Voice Dialer seems to work.
Does anyone know if there is a versions of Voice Command (official or hacked) or any other way to get Voice Command to "behave more freiendly" with some of the Bluetooth headsets?
i got a jabra 250v and it works flawless heres what i do.. hit my button once and wait for the tone.. do w/e command i wanna do and let it go through then once the command is over with i hit the button again to close the connection so if u are doing a call this is the step i use.. push button once.. wait for tone.. say call erich. hit the button to finish call. wait 1sec then hit the button again to close the bluetooth connection ...works flawless for me
Jacob-mda: That what I used to do with my old Moto HS-850 and it worked perfectly.
Unfotunately this isn't the case with all bluetooth headsets, especially newer ones, I've gone through about 4 or 5. Voice Command doesn't break the connection since it doesn't support bluetooth directly and most of the newer headsets hang after the first call and the only way to get them back is to restart the device or run another program like cyberon speed dialer that resets the connection. Not sure why if it's a version difference in bluetooth implentation, or just some headsets are more forgiving.
Unless there is a way to get it working which I'm not aware of, we need some little utility that would do whatever cyberon speed dialer does to reset the connect and then launch Voice Command, this would make it work with a lot more (if not all) bluetooth headsets which would be great!
It's a shame, I'm caught up between deciding what I want more, a better headset and using cyberon speed dialer (with voice tags yuk) or going with a working headset with Voice Command.
Anyways, it would be great if someone could right something that would reset the connect and then launch voice command. It might not be perfect but I'm sure it would make a lot of people (including myself) with non compatible headsets very happy
I currently have Cyberon Voice Dial installed on my JAM, but I have heard enough good things about MVC so I am tempted to give it a try.
Right now I use Cyberon to do BT voice dial with my Moto HS850 headphone, and Cyberon works fine. But it's a little lacking in terms of capability, and you have to record voice tag for every contact you try to call (or application you try to open). I think MVC goes a little further, where it 1/ recognizes voice automatically, no need to record voice tags, and 2./ it does more ... for example, other than calling a person I can open the contact, and it can also announce the upcoming schedule to me, so on and so forth.
After reading a lot of stuffs on this forum though, it seems that regardless of Cyberon or MVC, the HW limitation of the Magician will NOT allow audio to be streamed to, or from the BT headset.
When I drive, Cyberon has no problem picking up and recognizing my voice if I put the phone nearby, so I'm not as concerned about streaming of voice FROM the BT headset.
However, if I cannot stream audio TO the BT headset from the Magician, then it greatly affects the usefulness of MVC. I can no longer ask it to 'announce' next appointment, or announce a contact etc.
In fact, it gets hard to interact with MVC. For example, I say "Call so and so", and it's supposed to ask me "Home, mobile or work" ... but I won't hear that if it's not streamed to the BT headset.
OTOH, Cyberon is much cheaper (well, it's free ... MVC is not) and takes up less $$ ... I just wonder without streaming of audio to/from the BT headset, is MVC still that much more useful than a simple, free Cyberon speed dial program to justify its price tag.
Too bad MVC doesn't have a trial version, so I gotta ask you guys from your experience if it's worth it or not.

Has anyone got Cyberon Voice Commander 2.0 (not voice dial, the whole commander that runs apps and doesn't require tags) to take audio input from a bluetooth headset?
So far, I've got the button working - simply changing the registry entry HKLM\Software\OEM\VoiceCommand Path to the proper location of the VoiceCommander.exe executable.
Audio output also works - I hear the request for a command from the bluetooth headset.
Talking into the headset does not work. I have to be close enough for the phone microphone to pick up my command for it to work. After the phone recognizes a command, the confirmation audio "Call so and so?" comes out of the phone, not the bluetooth headset.
I hate the robotic quality of MSVC and I prefer the functions of this one, but the bluetooth thing is a deal-breaker if I can't get it to work. Anybody out there using this app on their Mogul / Titan?
You ever get any further with this?
Correct me if I am wrong, but there is no built in voice dialing capability tools included with the HD2?
I would like to be able to (like I have with the last 2 HTC Smartphones) be able to voice dial a contact over a bluetooth headset or car unit....
Any recommendations, or is this feature hidden somewhere that I simply have to activate? If there is an app I can get, preferrably free, please advise. Thanks!

And that's on an HD2?
MSVC is pretty much the best out there...the other alternative is the Cyberon Speed Dial, but you do have to record for each contact.

Which MSVC version are you using?
I've been having strange problems with my Blueant Supertooth light and MSVC 1.6.
The problems are:
- My Blueant doesn't terminate the connection after calls, the lights and speaker just stays on eventhough the call has been terminated.
- No incoming call announcement from the blueant device.
- Sometimes when I press the call button on my BT device, voice commander responds on the phone's speaker??
Weird... I didn't have the above problems with my TD, although I never could get the incoming call announcement to work as well.
on the same lines, is there any application to type what you speak? This way we could use speech to text instead of using the keyboard!
It is a huge letdown that the HD2 does not already INCLUDE a voice dialing application like the past several HTC phones have had, for years.
HTC needs to step up the plate and both provide this and make sure that bluetooth voice dialing protocols are in place.
Has anyone used the Cyberon app yet? I believe the one is called "Voice Dialer" and the other is called "Voice Commander", not sure what the actual difference is or if either work fully on the HD2.
Hi. I'm using Cyberon Voice Sped Dialer on my HD2 and have set up my voice dals.
However, when I go to use the voice dial I only every get the 'tone' through the phone speaker and no longer through my BT headset. I have a Jawbone 2 BT headset.
My Touch HD worked fine with it and you could dial using voice through the headset but I no longer can on the HD2.
Is there a way to fix this? Do I need different software or is it just one of those things?

Im having the same problems with my HD2 device. I have a parrot bluetooth carkit and with this new device it doens't work like it should because there is no voice dialing.
I've tried several programs like Microsoft Voice command and other voice command programs like VITO voice command and Cyberon.
Is there any program that just looks like the voice dialing on the HTC Diamond? I just want to record my own voice and use it with my bluetooth carkit.

The problems with bluetooth is down to the HD2 using a widcomm bluetooth stack as apposed to a microsoft one. I personally havent found a voice dialing app that will work with the widcomm stack.
So what do we do now? I really love this phone but this is a huge problem for me...

I have cyberon voice speed dial 1.2
I cant get it to work through my BT but I have sort cut on home that I press and it opens all my progs and dial contacts, one of the best things about my phone now I love that it opens all my programs...
I used to have a n95 and this put an auto voice tag on each contact and worked through any BT, shame the HD2 hasnt got an app that can do that ... and open my progs..
I'm also still waiting for a solution.
I have 2 bt handsfree devices on my 2 cars (Parrot and Blueant)...and MSVC only works for the first try after a soft reset.
After the first go, MSVC just goes thru the phone's mic and speaker. Very annoying when you still need to hold the phone up while driving AND you have a bluetooth handsfree device.

Is it possible for someone to cook a ROM with the MSFT bluetooth stack? Or is that too hardware/driver dependent?

About to try it, hope it works with BT voice dial, if not then Duttys WM6.5 works as well as it can and includes the long press fix as standard.

I did not check it by myself yet.
I tried to make ONE .CAB but did not find apropriate software.

I have succeeded to activate the CVSD with BT Headset button press with the "4_CVSD_1.2_build_61226_1_BTHeadsetFixed.cab" given in the mail above.
But I can not hear the Voice Tag of the contact from the BT Headset but from the speaker of the HD2 as a confirmation to my speed dial speech.
And I have to check the screen when dialing started if I am motocycling
Any proposal to fix that little problem?

Can you give us a little more information? Which ROM ver? Which other soft you installed? Did u use: 1_CyberonVoiceSpeedDial_1_2_b080227_0R3.cab ?
Isn't there an option in the BT setup, sending all systemsounds to BT?
I installed Cyberon Voice Speed Dial on my Omnia, but not CAN initiate voice call by bluetooth. I have to trigger the application on the handset screen for a shortcut and then the call is transferred to the headset. The strange thing is that if the call comes in, that is, upon receipt of the call, I usually attend the headset. However I noticed that when you release 'button on the bluetooth headset a little more length, something like 01 seconds, fires the standard dial pad. So if you drive a bluetooth program on PPC, I think is missing only the direct action triggered by the program for bluetooth voice dialing (Cyberon), that is, assign to the bluetooth function to activate the program Cyberon Speed Voice Dial. However, if the key bluetooth is already pressing the dial pad Samsung's standard, and opens the microphone bluetooth, what is missing in my understanding, it would redirect (change) the action of the button the program you want.Se PC, I would say that would be only a matter of changing the shortcut target .. but if in the PPC do not know how .. someone help me please?
