wm5 and buttom problem

i have recently upgraded my xda II to wm5 and everything was perfect but when i was going to take a photo i realized that both left buttoms, camera and record, don't work, in any way.
Does anyone have the same problem, or maybe is a natural problem and i haven't read enough?

This link is to a little review I did a few days ago comparing the speed of the m600 to the jamin. The speed improvement with no ext rom is signficant. I believe the big difference seen is the mms....but I'm still not sure. Anyway, by not installing the extended rom....I saved about 4-5mb of ram and lots of rom.....and my device got a loooootttttt faster.

No fixes that I know of....just some settings, some progs and the mms. I haven't figured all of them out....but most.

Long time. Yeah, eten filled the gap for well over a year. But, the jamin is a really good device if you can get and keep it running smoothly. In fact, it is working flawlessly for me....the phone, gprs, battery, camera. It all works very well!

Well, each one is around 15-20mb. I uploaded them as a stream so that it would be easy to view them without having to download them. What kinds of problems are you having?

Is it really slower than the Jam?

Ive had a 128mb jam and now have the jammin and cant really notice a difference....I also had an atom for a week abd didnt notice at all.

Yes the system is in chinese, so like the menu and setting are all in chinese, but when the english Rom is available , you can change it, that's what i will do anyway

Can't test GPS yet because i don't have TomTom install. Build Quality is very very good.
Camera much much better than Universal, very happy with it! I have bought a miniSDHC , and i ask the camera to store my pic there, set it to 3M pixel, with highest quality, times to store is like 1 sec, very very fast!
Even the front camera is better than the Universal Main Camera, and man, the screen is HUGE, so nice to take photo with this screen.

wu5262 Cant wait till you get mine, might struggle with the Chinese rom. Been on the dopod site to see if they have released any roms for this device , nothing yet been posted. Also will TomTom work with Chinese rom? Will the menus be in Chinese for TOMTOM or English? Still cant wait till i get mine.

Video playback seems fine, but need to do more testing on large film. Speakers are very good! Much better than Universal.

Sorry faisal.husain, forgot to answer your question here, although the base system is in chinese, but all the new software you install will be in english. So if you install English TomTom, yes it will be in english

What is nokia n93? is it any good? I just want the best phone/pda/pocket pc out there. i am thinking that athena is best right now but you talk about nokia? man too many phone out there. also what happening about lg prada and iphone. no body talking of it in any forum? lg prada very sexy phone. man i want a nice phone!!! >.> jeez i guess i will just use my universal for now...

N93 is a good phone
but it isn't a pocket pc
the camera is 3.2 MP and Video Recording is very very good
the screen is not big but the quality is very good
and end phone if N Series is N95
that's Camera is so better than N93. it is 5 MP and Video Recording Quality is DVD
but my idea is athena is the best phone/pocket pc in the world now

i will test the video function a bit later.
The cpeaker with GSM works great, these speaker are the best one i heard so far in PPC

no, it's not really shock resistant, you will need to hold it with your finger, otherwise it will fall down

htc p4350 screen is brighter than the Hermes 8525?

i currently have both the tmobile wing & att 8525, i did a side by side comparison, the tmobile wing's lcd screen is brighter, more vibrant, and seems like it has a better color resolution. the wings lcd is 2-4 times brighter than the 8525 and i have both the backlight settings to max. On paper the lcd/color specs are the same, is there something wrong with my 8525?

if the lcd of the herald has the same connections as the hermes, do you think if i swap it out, the hermes would have that same brightness?

Yes, the above link is the latest version. I suggest trying it before swapping out any LCDs etc.

HI VJ I have a question about LumosIII. It seems that III is the only one that works on the Tytn? If so does it have the switches capabilities built in? Like

I can't seem to get the switches to work and I don't see a reference to III on your site. Thanks! Great programs BTW. IMHO you are definitely top 10 pocket pc freeware provider/programmer of all time.

Version II was for various earlier devices. Version III never got on my website for some reason, I think I thought it was too tiny to bother about!

Can you pleeeeease make switches. I have a mortscript that will turn it off before it starts the camera. Currently if it's off it turns it on instead of off again... Then the cam won't start. Thanks if you don't mind I would greatly appreciate it with a donation for sure? Heck I think I'm going to donate anyway.
IMO version III is the most important because it works on the phone that needs it the most. I think a lot of Tytn users know about it. The wizard screen was superbright. The Tytn not so(without VJLumosIII!).

I'll try to add switches.
I hate using my Hermes without VJLumos. I've been using it for a year now with no adverse side effects, so I wonder why HTC never made the extra bright screen default.

Yeah I use VJLumos on it all the time. It's a must. Especially coming from a Wizard. Or any other PPC for that matter. I think the switches will come in handy with future Tytn users to come. Since it is such a key piece of software for that device.

I recently downloaded the tofclock rom (thank him for it. its a shame he passed on. but i guess its to a better place!)
So now my XDA II is on WM6 and the performance is pretty impressive so far.
I downloaded the HTC Home plug in and scheme everything looks exactly like the HTC touch.
Haven't had problems except for a bit of lag here and there.
Just one question though, how do i enable the speakerphone option?
it used to be just touching on the taskbar but now i can't seem to find it.
