yes,
in the devices tab = :?: NAVMAN GPS ONE
in the COM ports = NAVMAN GPS ONE (COM6) & Incoming Port (COM7)
Thanks for the help!

I have this GPS device working fine on my Wizard.
In Bluetooth settings, on the devices tab, i have "? NAVMAN GPS ONE". If I select this I then have Serial Port seleceted.
On the COM ports tab I have only NAVMAN GPS ONE (COM6). This has worked fine for me for a number of months.
Hope this helps...

Navman problems with XDA II

Ok having major problems with this unit, I've finally bonded the device to the xda 2 and have installed the software and UK maps onto memory card, I can only select com 7 in the bluetooth profiles for the Navman and when I go into GPS settings in SmartST com 7 is the only one I cant use WTF !!!!!
Also after running SmartST when I next try to run it it runs so slow and eventually locks up I've tried all the patches to no avail I have 70 Mb of memory for running programs so that should be plenty. Anyone haave any Ideas????
Navman problem fixed!!!!!!
Well I managed to figure out what was causing the SmartST software to run rediculously slow on my XDA II.
I noticed that whenever I stopped all programs from running, the Active program would always end up as not responding so I decided to remove the O2 Active user interface and it cured the problem.
It works great totally impressed with it.

Com 7 Port For Navman
I had a similar problem. I had to remove the exisiting bond with the Navman and then soft reset. Then, go into GPS settings and com7 should be available to select. Finally, rebond with Navman device and select com7 from the bluetooth tools options, and hey presto! It took some trial and error but it was worth it, Navman now working perfectly, am looking forward to an extended road test in northern France this weekend!

hey hey hey... cool it guys..
I helped a customer set this up, and it worked like a charm..
You have to make sure that before you paired both the deviced, you have to checked the inbound port under settings->bluetooths settings...
then you should be able to selected it later in the program..
oh yes, just a gentle reminder, just install the EnableCharPin software from , else you cannot enter "NAVMAN" as a password.
Cheers
there is another solutions dou, but after I worked on it for another customer, I could not get it to work with his headset using bluetooth.

Navman problems
Hi guys -
I'm also having problems with setting up my Navman 4410. I had it working on my XDA2 (after a struggle) when using ROM version 1.03, but I've now upgraded to ROM V1.60.50 which is the latestest relase from 02. Since then I'm having the same problems as Janaro - there is no com7 available in SmartST (v2.00.0029 SP1). The default bluetooth com port is COM4 but it does not appear to bond correctly.
I've tried the recommendation from Kernow but I still cannot get it to work
Has anybody got any ideas ?
Alan
Have you got "Recieve all incoming beams" unticked. Start\settings\connections\beam.
Hope this helps
Receive all incoming beams is ticked - should it be ?
I think the problem is more to do with the COM ports. BTHtools only allows you to set the com port to COM7 - but COM7 is not available within Navmans SmartST software.
Ah ha - untick "Receive all incoming beams" (in start\settings\connections\beam) and COM7 becomes available within SmartST - everybody with problems please note !!!
It now works OK - many thanks

Different Navman solution
After upgrading my Qtek 2020 to 1.66, SmartST would take forever to open whereas it had been reasonably quick before.
I was successful in making it work by not installing the bluetooth tools but only executing the EnableCharPin from my synched laptop.
This meant that I could pair my Navman 4410 after having checked both inbound COM4 and Outbound COM5 in Bluetooth settings. (The bluetooth tools would only provide COM7 whereas that port was not available in SmartST)
The double blinking only went away after SmartST was started.
After installing SmartST V2 the program starts fairly quickly

4400 and XDAII works OK
I am using the 1.60WWE 02 ROM (Recent upgrade), a Navman 4400 and Smart ST (not 2) software, and it works a charm. I agree that BTTools should not be used but you have to use enablechar.exe to key in the PIN. I had no problems with bonding. Make sure however you un-pair all other devices (headset etc) first to give the 4400 first choice of the COM ports. As has been stated, when paired, make sure you check Com 5 outbound under Start/Settings/BT Settings (this was the main feature of the 1.60 upgrade that appealed to me), then select the same port from the GPS status screen of Smart ST.
It is working for me. I look forward to seeing Smart ST2 with its 3d view, but it is not necessary.
I think you have other problems if ST 1 doesn't work.
On another note, the amount of time taken to start the software is related to how many maps it has to process. If you only check the maps you are using (under Setup/Maps in Smart ST) it will speed things up greatly.
After first getting my XDA2 to work with my Navman 4410 using SmartST V2 and BTHTools and setting the com port to 7, I have now managed to get it working by using the standard set-up as recommended by Camstech.
By checking both the inbound and outbound boxes in start/settings/system/BlueTooth_settings and by setting COM5 within SmartST it now works fine.

Navman 4400 / 4410 and Bluetooth Headset
Very helpful dialogue here. Many thanks to all. Based on this, I am planning to purchase either a Navmean 4400 or 4410, but wondered if any of you have been able to set up the GPS and a Bluetooth headset at the same time. I don't really need to have the GPS voice prompts come through the headset (probably too much to ask at this point), but would like to be able to answer/end calls via the headset, while the GPS is active. Do any of you have BT headsets working with the 4400 / 4410 installed?
I have Navman 4400 and bluetooth headset working at the same time not a problem. I bought Namvan 4400 from Dicksmith Australia as I got it $100 off the price as it has the old 2D software mapping, but Navman Australia send the mapping software upgrades to you for free, something to consider if you can find 4400 still as the hardware is the same with 4400 and 4100 navmans.

Jasjar and GPS Serial Connection

I am having difficulties connecting the Jasjar with my GPS TELETYPE on BT.
The com ports are really confusing me. I am using Destinator 3, and after I have paired the GPS device, and have selected a serial port connection, Destinator can’t find a GPS receiver.
Have anyone successfully connect a BT GPS with Jasjar?

Hi, geovass.
Did you see the prompt that the device supports Serial Port Profile? If not did you try to delete the paired GPS and try to re-pair again?

I have done the pairing twice already. No, i dont get a prompt that the device supports Serial Port Profile.
I've got it working.....
First you've got to pair your GPS.
Then go to the "COM" tab in the bluetooth manager
Add a new outgoing port with the GPS as device
Then install you're navigation software !!!
It works fine in combination with the Jasjar, Emtac GPS and TomTom Navigator 5.1

I have done what you've describe, without installing the GPS SW (destinator) second. Do you think this is the case.
I can never match the com ports i use on the outgoing port and on the Navigaton software. The ports cant be the same...
It seems that i cant select any com ports on the outgoing port except from port0 and port8.
If i select one of those 2, i dont see them in Destinator's GPS settings tab.
Just used a hex editor to change the port manualy in Destinator.ini and it worked like charm !
I have the same issue. I can only connect com 0, 4 or 8 to my Emtac but TomTom5 only shows 6 and 7...
Anyboby who can help?

Me too have had the universal for a week now tried reg hacks utils etc cant get it to use com 0 4 8 evean if enable wm2005 GPS to remap ports ...
same port with bluetooth com ports for syncing
I have encountered the same problem as u, but while trying to get bluetooth connection to sync with PC... so far no luck...
I know the trick is to select COM5 for the Outgoing Port in your GPS, and then, somehow, make TT5 show the COM5. In order to do that, some hacking must be done at the registry which I have no idea how to do that.

HELP! Bluetooth GPS reciever problem..

Hi there..
I have recently brought an xda exec and the new leadtek GPS 9553 receiver.. When i try to connect to it, i cant.. It pairs up and i have a partnership between to two but it does not connect.. I have installed the leadtek navigation software and that boots up fine but the receiver jus wont connect.. I have been tryin to get this to work for 2 days now and i have made no progress.. =(
ANY help is much appreciated..
Thanks for your time and effort in advance. =)
Note..
On the xda i can only use:
COM0
COM4
COM8
All the others 'cannot be opened'.
On the leadtek navigation it tries to connect on either:
COM1 Serial_dbg
COM2 Serial_FIR
COM3 IrCOMM
COM6 Serial
COM7 Serial_BTU
COM9 QCTComposi
Plus.. When using tomtom, that only has:
QCT Data Interface
RIL on COM6:
COM7:
Serial Cable on COM1
Infrared Port
Ir on COM3:
Again.. Many thanks in Advance..
I have a slightly older model of the same bluetooth GPS as you (Leadtek 9537) - and can confirm that it works great with TomTom 5.10 on mine.
There is a long thread in this very forum about getting TomTom to 'see' bluetooth GPS receivers in Windows Mobile 5, I just followed the instructions in that thread and it worked a treat.
I have looked thru the forum about this topic and i have found a lot of useful information.. only problem is.. its the reciever and xda that i am findin hard to connect with each other not with tom tom..
Do you get the message "serial port device" etc and answer yes to the prompt?
Yeps.. i select the serial port check box and then the options on that are on screen are cancel, save and refresh.. so i press on save..
thats the end of it.. =S a partnership is created but no connection????
selectt the comport com 8 then save the settings
COM port 8 selected for new outgoing port.. nothings changed.. then i...

Bluetooth GPS configure with Tom tom

Hi,
I just installed tomtom version 5 on my MDA Vario but I can't seem to get the tomtom to recognise my 32 channel bluetooth receiver.
Tom toms configure screen only allows me Comm ports 0,9 or 3 whilst the MDA only allows me to set up the outgoing Comm ports as 6 or 7 !
As a result I cant get tomtom to receive a signal from my receiver !
Can anyone help ?
Thank You
Steve
Try setting up new bluetooth connection to serial port, untick the make private box, then on tomtom gps settings use com port 6 although on a XDA though, still worth a try eh?
Believe that this bug is resolved in TomTom version 5.21 (download from TomTom website)

Cheers but there is no 'make private option' on the MDA although assume unticking 'secure connection; is the same thing ?
Either way I am still without the ability/option of selecting Com port 6 on tomtoms configure screen....
Try.
Pair the device, then put a tick in serial port and save.
choose the COM Ports tab, then tap new incomming port (COM6)
Then startup tomtom and it should find it when you select COM6 in other bluetooth GPS.

Using Version 5.10
Config within Tomtom offers -
COM9:
Infrared Port
COM3:
COM0:
COM2:
Serial Port
This is the same with either "Other Bluetooth GPS" or Other Cable NMEA GPS...
Have also changed Cfg file in Navigator folder to that offered elsewhere with no effect...
There is a bug with the version your using, you need to update it to version 5.21
heres a link to the patch http://www.tomtom.com/support/index.php?FID=3361&Language=1

WM6 Bluetooth GPS NIGHTMARE!!!

HELLLP upgraded to WM6 on my BA and now my i-Blue GPS reciever wont sync up and TOMTOM cant even see it im gonna scream and cry has anyone got any ideas??? PLEASE PLEASE help
My BA works fine with my GPS receiver (make sure you added it, and assign COM port to the incoming port). Then I use TT6 with COM6 and it works just fine.
Some people uses the GPS application in Settings, but I did not.
now that used to be the case however i no longler have the ability on the menu to choose the BT ports on TT6 i have in this order..
BT UART
SERIAL CABLE ON COM 1
COM 9
IR ON COM 3
and thats it theres some missin:S any ideas??
also its just not syncin up like it used to with Wm2003 Grr
Try to assign to your receiver COM 1 or COM 9
Sometimes it is the GPS application that doesn't know how to use the external GPS management program.
Go to Settings -> Connections -> External GPS, set the two ports to "none" and uncheck the option to manage the ports automatically. Reset the device and try to choose the same port you have chosen at pairing.

This is kind of bit off-topic, but since you're talking about bluetooth GPS on a Blue Angel I wanted to ask: how well does it work? As I have do not have any sense of direction at all, I've been thinking about buying a Bluetooth GPS receiver, but can a $35 GPS really be accurate and work well? Will any BT GPS receiver work? What kind of software do you use on the PDA? Thank you!
hi, set the gps hardware port (com6) in the external gps settings. set the new outgoing port in the blutooth settings (com6) and in the TT6 set the com6 in other nmea gps. it works.
