How can I test my overclock?

Hi guys!
I'm tryign to overclock my Jamin, to 240MHZ, with a simple guide found on this forum... (omapclock and memmaid...)
I think i do the right stuff but... I can I see/test the actual MHZ of my cpu? Can I search for a specific running task to be sure the overclock is running?
Why not just run a benchmark and see the results for yourself?
The Jamin seems to works fine and swifth at 240MHZ but I'd like to make a test/benchmark too....
well, that's what I just sugested, isn't it ?
With The Core Pocket Media Player (TCPMP) you can see the speed at which the processor is running in the options menu. Google to find the app ( it is freeware AND the best media player, much better than WMP).
I try with TCPMP and it show me speed = 225MHZ but in OmapClk the showen speed is 240MHZ......
TCPMP is known to report other CPU speeds. Just use the benchmark function with and w/o having overclocked and you'll see the difference in computing speed.
Okay but... is there any programs to make serious benchmark on pda? Is it free?
Look for SPB Benchmark. Free for personal usage.

Overclocked yet?

Anyone tried overclocking this device with XCPUScalar yet?
Results?
I didn't have problems at all with the Exec running at 624Mz so maybe something can work on the Orbit.
The Artemis has a OMAP850 Processor - use this tool, it worked for me until 252MHZ:

That is a bit old. I have used Batterystatus which is a build on the raw omap clock. Even autoscale works perfect

ie Bochs emulator that works on WM5 etc
niet, forget it....
do you have wizard?
forget it.
bochsppc was made for that screen(hheh)..
forget it.
you may think about win3.1, but believe me...forget about it too.
Wizard can hardly allow dos text mode imo..
btw, i am amazed, that you aren't looking onto Russian foras ...
You have BEST foras i could find...many talented people there...
http://forum.pocketz.ru/ - Эмуляция, (btw, my account's xoen there)...
http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php - Эмуляторы (didn't want to register me :S ).

you are new in matter, don't you?
your 300, 400, 620 mhz is nothing comparing to x86..believe me. add 4x more gfx data to compute(nyditot).
400 mhz xscale is like 16 mhz 386 in x86 emulated environment(MINUS that 386 gfx speed of course and on dosbox ONLY, 'cause bochs is SLOWERRRR)...
well.. circa about.
max emulated mem is ok, 13 mb with n0p's dosbox, but you won't be able to launch w95 on it(i launched dos fallout with it..hheh.).
bochs may launch w95, but you will have time to drink big coffee(or get nap) to get onto w95 desktop.
And then you will feel pain, cause there's NO KEYBOARD support(as far as i know..).
When u will see desktop, your battery say AAAAAAArgh.
Good luck with installing w95 of course....
win3.1 installation is taking 35 minutes or so? installation of total commander for 3.1 took >20 minutes.
I gave you links, you will find preinstalled win there(made on pc bochs).
go and have fun...

sorry for destroying your vision of having UMPC,...no way.
all you can have from pc on ppc - some old games/dos soft. settlers 1 ,2, colonization..etc.
nothin is speaking the absolute truth about this software. I tried this on my old x50v and even with the 624mhz processor an old 486/66 with 16 megs ram made it look like a joke.
Oh well im givig up th idea
to much to do for it and i dought i will be sucessfull
for start i cant find win95
not tlaking of the rest of the tools i will need
why not just use simple OS if you want something like a windowed operating system, works but still a bit buggy

Windows 95 programme on Athena? help?

Hi Guys,
i am trying to get a Win95 programme, specifically Panzer general working on my athena, using PB Dual 3.0...not seeming to have alot of luck, got the protected msg error with pocketdos...
i cant seem to find a way, its a way old programme and the athena is 10x more powerful then min specs in every way
any help?
a 400Mhz arm based cpu cant hold a cantle to a 400Mhz x86 cpu
mhz is not everything
is there no way? i mean the programme has been ported for palm, it only required a 66mhz iirc, i am sure a 600mhz must be able to cope with it?
iirc correctly it ran with dos 6 too!
