A2DP: Am I missing something? - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

I have an HTC Tytn, and I'm trying to use it with slightly older bluetooth stereo headphones. They are the Bluetake iPhono ones and are probably one of the oldest available.
When I pair them with my pc or SonyEricsson k800i they work and I get bluetooth stereo. When I pair them with the Tytn, I get a handsfree profile and nothing else. Any ideas what I could be missing?
I am very tempted to buy the SonyEricsson earphones, but just wanted to try these ones first and make sure it would be worth it.

Search for a2dp hack.cab This made my wizard show "Set as Wireless Stereo" in bt settings, I think.

Bluetooth Stereo Headset.

Is it possible to get stereo over bluetooth? And which headset should i buy if so?
Thanks
Hi q-big,
Sorry no stereo yet on the K-Jam using a Stereo headset (bluetooth).
I use a Motorolla Bluetooth Stereo headset but the A2DP profile is not supported yet by the K-Jam. There will be an ROM upgrade coming beginning next year including this profile so not yet!
You can use mono for the headset using a tiny switch program somebody on the forum made. Then all sound will be sent to your headset in mono. It is not super but I've been enjoying it since!
Wouter
q-biG = q-biq ;P..
thanks for the answer. then i think i'm gonna wait for the upgrade, mono sucks
Hello,
Maybe you could try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=33532
It does work for Magician and seems that a Universal owner also installed it sucessfully.
Cheers

I tried, but it does not work with my Dopod 838, aka HTC wizzard. Seems to be the restriction of WM5 and need to wait for the update from MS. Maybe you can check this post PREVIEW: Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 AKU 2 Bluetooth A2DP Profile for reference.

i just bought o2blue and very interesting when riding motorcycle with a cool mp3 songs.....but till now I still cant off it...dont know how....waaaaaaaa
motorol have a new stereo bluetooth headset, i bought it but brought it back to the shop as it was far to big, not only that bu the design also hurts your ears after a while. I've personally alway been after a stereo bluetooth headset bu all the ones i have tried in the past (yes sony did make one years ago) i've found to be bad in performance

Bluetooth Challenge

I have an Imate JasJar and a KJam. I love both of them especially since I was able to install A2DP on both devices thanks to the wonderful people here. One of the things I love is being able to sit and watch my home theater with wireless headphones thanks to my ITech bluetooth dongle and my ITech Clip S35. The phone rings and my headset mutes the volume, I take the call, and the volume automatically comes back up. Life is good. I just bought the Nokia 12w bluetooth headset. FM radio, A2DP, AVRCP and headset profiles. A beautiful design with a caller ID window no less. You would think I would be in heaven right? But Nokia crippled this great little accessory. You can only get the non-headset profiles if it comes from the same device that is delivering the headset profile. I am able to connect to my PC, pair it and connect to an AV profile, but no sound ever comes out. Now before I got this headset I had a Diva Gem MP3 player. This thing is great. FM, MP3 player, voice recorder, bluetooth headset profile AND it even took SD cards for file and MP3 usage. I have had a 2GB card in it and really enjoyed it. But the allure of being able to listen to music from my Universal or watch a movie in the waiting room and listen wirelessly was too attractive.
Here is my challenge:
1. Is there anybody here who can add the A2DP profile and the AVRCP profile to the Diva Gem?
OR
2. Is there somebody who can break the limitation on the Nokia 12W that precludes it from being able to accept an A2DP proile and use an AVRCP profile from a "foriegn" device?
I am willing to bet that there are others who would like to be able to do this with the 12W.
Thanks for any advice.

Put your headset in pairing mode. Go to the Comm Manager on the KJam. Hit MENU on the bottom right hand side. Choose BLUETOOTH SETTINGS. Choose DEVICES. Now choose NEW PARTERSHIP. Both devices should discover each other and you should be prompted for the security code. Most devices use "0000".

Which Stereo Bluetooth Headset to buy?

Hi,
I want to buy Stereo Bluetooth Headset. I have read not all of them are compatible with all phones. I am considering getting either Samsung SBH100, Plantronics Pulsar 590a or Sony Ericsson HBH-DS970. I want to know if anyone has used these with Magician and what their experience is? My priority is for HBH-DS970 as I have read on this forum some users have been able to get the LCD to display contact name using JETware Mobile Software rather then number.
Which other decent Stereo Headset are compatible with Magician?
Thanks!
I use motorola HT820 and sound great

I have the iTech R35 and it works brilliantly with the Magician (provided you use the bluetooth stack update in the other thread).
It doesn't have a LCD screen, but you can use whatever earphones you like as it has a 3.5" jack.
i'm use HT820 and great sound and working all buttons

Bluetooth Headset

hey everyone
i have just purchased this phone and am waiting for it to arrive
i was wondering if my sony ericcson bluetooth headset will work with it or will i have to buy another one
thanks
PharaohSam
well, just read the manual for your headset, if it says "stereo" and "A2DP" then yes, it will work. otherwise, no.
That is not correct. Pharaosam asked for a "Headset" not for "Stereo HeadPHONES".
Of course you can use a bluetooth headset with the Magician.
Sony Ericsson will work, had one of those, but switched to a Logitech headset which I find more comfortable.
A2DP.cab
Where can i find the "activate A2DP.cab" for Wm5 ?
is my laptop meant to be able to 'see' the headset becaiuse it can't :S
:S
:S Weird.. What headset ( OR headphone u have ?? )

Best headset to use with HTC Prophet?

Hi,
I'm really fed up with the headsets that came with my prophet. I want to buy a new headset, I don't want any bluetooth headsets. Just a cheap, comfortable headset to answer some calls and listen to some mp3.
What headset should I buy? I once read somewhere, I think it was over here.. that there were some Sony Ericsson headsets that worked with the Prophet. For exemple the Sony Ericsson HPM-70 (or something like this...).
Can any one confirm that or advise a good headset?
I'm satisfied with plantronics pulsar 200 bluetooth headset. Would recommend.
What about a non-bluetooth headset? What would you recommend?
hmm
i don't think that there are any commercial cabled headset other that that given with u'r htc, anyhow u can simply cut yours and sold it with a jack enterance leaving a mic near the end... thats what i did once i got my bluetooth headset
if u don't have a spare one and don't know how to sold etc. etc. don't even try it
by the way, don't buy motorola's bt headset, i already brake it and had to repair that one 2...
good luck
