02 XDA IIi Secure Wi-fi Connection - Networking

Hi all,
Does anyone know how to connect the O2 XDA IIi (Alpine) into secure Wireless Network in University ?
because it needs to connect through:
non-broadcast SSID, WPA-PSK2 Site as well as the Thawte Server CA Certificate and logging on using the Username & password
(http://www.uow.edu.au/its/wireless/guides/XPSP2userguide.pdf)
do I need a special software or update the firm ware ?
please help me as socketcom.com Pocket wifi is not compatible with O2 XDA IIi (Alpine).
Thanks

XDAIIi VPN

:x I cannot seem to get the VPN side of things working.
Has anyone tried a VPN using WiFi ?
I can connect to a WiFi Access Point and browse the internet. I then try to establish a VPN connection to my network using the IP address of the VPN Server, get prompted for the user credentials, and the XDA tries to connect and just doesn't, no errors. The VPN Server is working, as I have tested the same settings using an HP Ipaq 5550.
Any suggestions ?

O2 Data Support have confirmed that this is a bug.. Damn !

MDA III / Qtek 9090 GPRS VPN Issue

DeviceData: PH20B 0 B ENG G T-MOB009 1.06.00 1.06.135 1.00.00
Update: PH20B 0 B WWE E T-MOB009 1.22.00 0 0 1.22.557 1.06.02 06.02
Here is the prblem:
In short I can't VPN (PPTP) my server through GPRS connection on MDA3.
Details:
1. I CAN connect to my VPN using MDA III and Wi-Fi
2. I CAN connect to my VPN using GPRS through Ericsson T39m and my laptop.
3. I can NOT connect to my VPN using GPRS through MDA III and my laptop.
4. I can NOT connect to my VPN using GPRS on MDA III and built in VPN client.
In 3 and 4 the connection is made but the authentication process fails. I tried to change the GPRS settings on MDA III and I used or possible configuration but it didn't help.
So it looks for me as the problem is only in GPRS part of the MDA III. If anyone has any suggestion how to solve the problem I would appreciate the answer.
Thanks

Have you contacted your service provider for details of the GPRS setting. When I was with Orange they had a specific Access Point Name for connecting to VPN through GPRS. Also see my post from 19th March 11:54 am.
That was it !

You were right. For VPN I have to use a different access point: vpn.idea.pl
Thanks a lot

how do i get virgin mobile GPRS & MMS settings into XDA mini s

using wanadoo wireless broadband at home and although XDA says network is available, i cant connect. i think it maybe something to do with WEP key for wanadoo which is 26 characters long (too long for xda?)
do i need to change this key to something shorter on router and all pc`s connected to it?
