I sometimes get the message "Your sms cannot be sent", but it does send. anyone else got this error, i have looked and it doesnt seem to be listed on here.
Sometimes i get a text off people asking why i have sent it twice!

i'll send a text to someone, then for some reason. they will get the same text like 4 times. why is my phone keep sending the text? even a few hours or days?

hey bigpat, the issue is with the Cody SMS threaded messaging. Just upgrade your ROM and use the new built-in threaded messaging with WM6.1
I use the built-in text message program in WM6.1 and I get the same issue. Once in a while, I will get the "Message was not sent. Try again?" message. Of course I click it because I want the message to eventually go through, but the receiver will end up getting multiple messages.
The towers also much acknowledge a message is being sent or receive and then respond back with an acknoledgement. Until this is all complete and if you keep clicking resend. It may resend everything over and over.
My phones having the issue with receiving them. The phone receives a message sends back the ok, but never receives it back to the phone. This then causes the original message to continue to be pushed until it gets a response to allow the newer messages to come. Very frustrating.

I've searched but found nothing,, since I Flashed to Touch IT I'm no longer able to send SMS messages.. I can receive them but not send them..
After I press send I wait about 5 seconds to get an error 'Your text message can not be sent' when I press OK the status bar at the bottom of the screen says 'error synchronizing'. Can anyone help me with a fix?
(since installing Touch IT the activesync is always on.. anything to do with ?)

Bumping this thread as I've not had any joy with this for about 3 weeks, been googling and keeping an eye on here but no joy..
Can anyone offer any advise or clues ?
As before, I can send recieve email, but can only recieve sms.. when I try to send an SMS I get an error 'Your text message can not be sent' and the message is moved to the outbox..

Hey Guys, hey. I've been sending txt messages all day, but all of a sudden I now get this notification when trying to send: "Your text message cannot be sent". Then a underlined red link appears in the text window that says "Message was not sent, try again?". When I click it, it tries to send, but with the same results. Has anyone seen this? Can you please help me? Thanks!

Same problem wiht HD I got from UK and use in Israel. Can't send SMS
Blackstone. Can't send SMS but still can receive.
I checked setting, checked with carrier (I use cellcom) everything seems to be fine, just does not send and it was fine couple days ago.
As the title says, SMS dont send at all. I can receive messages, but i cannot send. they just show up as que, or trying to send. I have downloaded Handcent and it shows the same thing. I have updated profile, and PRL and nothing seems to fix this issue. Anyone going through the same, or has a possible solution?
I just got my Verizon Galaxy Note 3 yesterday and so far loving the device. I've noticed one thing that is a little odd though and wondering if anyone else is experiencing this. When I sent SMS messages, the "read receipt" doesn't work properly. If you press and hold an individual sent message and then select "view message details", it says "Error code:Addr.Vcnt.". The message however are delivered just fine and nobody on the other end notices. I use Chomp SMS as my SMS app, and because of this error code the messages always say they are "pending" instead of checking off with a green check box to indicate that they were received. I don't think it's a Chomp SMS issue because the same error code comes up if I sent my messages through the stock SMS app.
MMS messages work just fine, so the issue only occurs with SMS messages. Has anybody else experienced this and know of a fix?

Just as an update in case anyone else ever runs into this problem, I uninstalled Chomp SMS and read receipt started working again.
