Hi there,
I have made a typo in a word which has now been remembered and is being used as a suggestion for text auto-complete.
Anyone with an idea how/where to delete this entry from my Atom?

I use 'Word Completion Dictionary Editor 1.3'...
Krinkiespijer
to disable this future, you don't need eny editors
"kropotov" settings=>input=>word completion
Thanks,
But I only want to delete 1 misspelled word from the list.
I want to keep the feature active.
Best regards

so, use Krinkiespijer advise about editor
Use "DictMgr 0.4.4" developed by Vicott Wong which can be downloaded from his website or http://mobile-sg.com. The utility letz you modify the built-in word completion list and more! Best part...itz free! Cheers!

Hi,
Can you post link to the program?
Gilbert
I think it will be fair, that we download the programm from the site of the developer.
So you can visit his site and register in the forum. I think he will do many updates of this small goodie, so he need some of our support. If everyone can download the proggie from anywhere else, its possible that he will not put more development power on it.
Think about it
Use this user/pass for download:

thanks bongo user, I think you programmed a great tool. helped a lot to me even though I can't check whether hsdpa is really working because there is no specific sign (h instead of u for example) on the hermes to see whether I am in hsdpa or in normal umts.
i have downloaded the software, but have no idea as to what to do with what i have downloaded.
I unpacked the file, amd it is just a bunch of cab files... Unfortunately, I am not sure as to how to proceed from there in order to get the program to work on my Tytn...
Can anyone please help me out? I am new to pocketpc devices in general and don't know my way around yet...

Copy this cab file to your device.
run this cab file like an "EXE File.
Then it installed my App.
thankyou for the quick response... I am going to try this out and then report back
That's a nice tool.
However, I chose to remove the communications manager from the system tray, but now the battery icon is gone too, even though I have not checked that box. And I actually like the battery indicator.
Checking and unchecking the battery indicator checkbox yields no results. Do you have any suggestions?

Sorry BongoUser, I just wanted to make it easy for non german speakers... you can delete the account if you want.
I also updated the wiki information with fit4cat Hermes Tweaker:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_Registry
Will you be updating it when we add more registry tweaks to this page like the registryWizard guy does?
hmm... no luck...
I copied it via activesync to my documents folder on the tytn.....
When i open the file i see a bunch of little files that cannot be opened since they are not associated with any programs...
Can you please give me a step by step instruction as to getting this program working? Thanks again!
EDIT: got it! i was unzipping the file before sending it to the ppc, when i should just have sent the file over as it came

Great!
You can also have a look at Universal and Wizard registry tweaks, most of them are generic WM5 tweaks, not device specific.
Some links:

Hi Bongouser..
All i had to do was to copy the file over to my documents folder in the pocket pc WITHOUT unzipping it.
I then clicked on the file in the pocketpc and it installed...
I think my problem was that i was looking for an exe file somewhere to click on to install the program..
It works great though!
I do have a question about the sound quality adjustment for the bluetooth headphones...
what is the default setting from the factory for this on the Tytn?? I am just trying to compare the different levels to the standard so that i can decide which I like best.
Thanks!

Hi
Here's a challange for all you programmers: the possibility to make the SIP change automaticly with change of programs!
(I've started this thread in the Artemis forum, that you might have a look at:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=318612)
FYI - The latest beta of wisbar advance 2 could do that....
Hmm, maybe I'm a bit slow, but how? I have tried to download it, but I didn't find the function. - OK, I'll try it again.
Thanks
Søren

I hope someone can come up with this program too
I'm using the Japanese IME and would like it to change to English in certain programs.

Go to settings -> Add your specific program -> Select the SIP tab -> choose whatever you want.
I searched on Google and here on XDA, but didn't find anything concerning this issue. Perhaps false catchword
I have the problem with my kitchen and cooked WM6.5.3 (SYS21656 details signature) that I can't disable "old" T9 because of the missing settings in System/Personal/Input where you can set the T9.
Background:
I never cook-in the HTC-Keyboard, because I am using SlideIT which I manually install with a cab.
After new installation of the Rom you only have the "old" inbuild Microsoft Keyboard. If you type anything in Notes or Word you always have these T9 words which I want to disable.

You mean this?
Remove the "Redirect" value under the following keys:
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\Owner]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\Buttons]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\Input]

Right! Thank you very much! Checked it now in the Registry and removed "Redirect" and now the Link in Startmenu is displayed and I can edit T9-settings.
Edit:
For cooking this in you have to delete the "Redirect", easy with this here:

Try opening all the reg files in your kitchen and look... You might learn a couple of new things as well if you do that!

Yup, that works. Also, just use Kheb 1.1 to find registry keys. It's faster and easier than either searching or starting a new thread.
The key is probably in the oem drivers rgu, and it may appear several times.
i swithed to osbuilder lately.
there is a option inside called registry preview.
if you expand the three and select the key you're searching for, it shows wich rgu-files are editing the selected key. very easy. best kitchen i ever used to cook roms.
i already solved some order problems this way. just to let you know.
the keys i wrote about should be simply added as last package after all xip/sys/oem (overwrite any other rgu values).

Hello,
How can we change the windows version text in the Settings - About dialog. The default text there is "Widows Mobile 6.5 Professional", instead I want to have some other text.
I remember some where in this forum I have seen one image that was changed.. but could not recall or search that
Looking forward for your input...

Tip is usual:
1. Recmod shellres.dll.0409.mui
2. Open it in Restorator
3. Find String # 14685 (for that case)
4. Write whatever you want - for example "Windows 95" or "Android 2.3" or "DOS"
5. Save changes.
6. Reversmode to cook or leave as file to copy to your phone if lazy to recook.
