mda battery - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario General

on my mda vario in the battery is says
main battery: 29%
backup battery: 100%
wat the backup batter, because the main was on 100% and noe 29 it only last like 9hrs and i throught it was 150hrs battery life??

I thought the specs were 3.5 hours talk time, 8 hours as a pda and 150 hours on standby.
As for a backup battery, I don't think it actually has one (it's a WM2003 throw back).

Battery life

My XDA II is fully charged, screen is on minimum brightness, no beam receive, BT off, sound is around 1/3, phone off. According to SPB Pocket plus, I have only 3 hrs 50 mins left in the battery. Is this normal ?
What kind of battery life are you guys getting on average for just using it as a PDA ?
I doubt that Pocket Plus is measuring anything meaningful. I find that a couple of days of PDA use, including some light bluethooth, GPRS and SMS data trafic and I've still got more than 60% power remaining.
I don´t have any battery meter.
I have had my qtek with phone on + BT on during 10 hours . Make calls for 30 min. Use pda 45 min. + 14 hours phone on BT off pda off.
The remaning battery after this was 13% battery left. I ´m glad with the battery live. It seem been a software problem with your software.
Helio
The display of the battery life in SPB Pocket Plus is the phone talk time (nearly 190 mn for 100%), and it changes with time statistically according to the use you make of your XDA
awww nuts. So does the XDA not support a reading based on real charge, as in voltage?
But yes, the battery bar is based on the voltage, like all PDAs, when you read it in percentage. Only when you choose the display in minutes, this is calculated on the basis of how do you use the XDA
I have both SPB GPRS Monitor and SPB Pocket Plus installed, the GPRS battery monitor estimated over 4 hours of battery life left, the Pocket Plus battery monitor estimaged just over 2 hours.... I guess they have a bug in Pocket Plus.

Post your battery life peeps!

Hi All
I have struggled to find out what the average battery life is for everyone with a Touch Diamond 2/Topaz. I think it would be awesome if everyone posted what their average battery life is and include your ROM, Radio, battery size/type, average standby, call time and device usage so we can all cry with jealousy for people that get 3 days!!!!
My phone:
HTC Touch Diamond 2
1350mAH Li-ion "Hero" battery CS-HDE190SL
Rom: 2.17.421.1 (68613) WWE
Radio: 4.49.25.91
Protocal: 61.44etc.25.35U
Avg. Standby = 1 day
Calls = 30 minutes
device usage = 45 minutes
3G off, Wifi off, bluetooth off, Push email/internet off
Details in siggy, my life is pretty bad, 2 working days at most. When the battery is low its slow and sluggish as well.

1. Discharge the device. Absolutely.
2. Take out battery to 40-60 sec.
3. Put the battery to the place. Don't switch on the device!
4. Charge the device by normal way (not by usb!) to the full state (green LED).
5. Take out battery again for 40-60 sec.
6. Put the battery to the place.
7. Switch on the device.
That's all.
Battery Calb.
Taken from Nataly Rom thread:

Sorry for the duplicate post
Thanks
Thanks.
I will try that tonight and see if that makes any difference.

Did it make any difference???
I am also on T-Mobile UK and have short battery life.
I have tried many different ROMs and Radios combinations but none seem to increase the battery life.
Are you in a good or weak signal area?? I've read that can affect battery life too.
What ROM/Radio are you using?
I cailbrated on an HTC Pure battery and it made no appreciable difference I still use it alot and the battery runs out pretty quickly. If I charge to 100% and go to sleep with Klaxon I'm at 97% uncalibrated and calibrated and after one episode of Big Bang Theory I am from 100% to 81% uncalibrated and calibrated so it did nothing.
Mine is also 1 day of use..
i'll try the calibration tonight and see if it'll change...
My battery life totally bad. I'm not sure if it's because my heavy usage using Opera/BOLT browser??
From fully charged 100%, it only takes 1 hour to go down to 30% simply by browsing the net in HSDPA/3G connection
ENERGY ROM
Bluetooth = off
wifi = off
email, every 1 hour
twitter = 20 mins
facebook = can't remember how long
But I don't think email/twitter matters too much because they only check email/update status for a couple of seconds.
Can someone tell me if my battery has gone bad? or it's normal to consume 70% in 1 hour?
Touch Diamond 2 - HTC 6.5 Rom
Email - Every 1 hour
WIFI - ON (battery saving mode)
Bluetooth - 2 hours each day (commute to work)
Usage - 4 hours each day with screen at half brightness.
Standard battery (1100mAh) 1.5 days of use
Extended battery (2600mAh) 4 days of use

x2 battery life

i have a question about battery drainage/temp on x2 users
1. how long does battery last in your x2 with usage and without
2. whats your battery temperature idle/usage/charging
im asking because my battery drains very fast 1 days in standby and few hours while using the phone (playin games, surfing the web,..)
and because i have never seen my battery temperature go over 3.5 degrees celsius
1 day on stand by and few hours when using the phone - very strange.
Before getting the new X2 I had X1 and its battery was pretty good - 5 days on stand by and at least 2-3 days when using the phone
yea i know its strange
the battery is the one that came with the phone (i bought it few weeks ago)
1500mAh
3 - 4 days standby, 3 days moderate messaging and calls.
I've disabled slideview, panelmanager <-- the culprits that are draining the battery.
Did you get your battery to last longer????
Another thing that i noticed ... first day the battery died quickly ... then I but it in sleep mode ... and the battery lasts days. Even though I had the phone in SE's case, it was still causing the screen to come on .. which rally used up the battery.
Just a thought ...

My phone with the same battery problem, my x2 run out of battery only 1 day in normal using (about 3 minutes to call, mostly standby status with 3G turn on/off may not effective).
How I disable slideview and panel manager?? Thanks
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=680194
freek i dont even get 6 hours of my battery life
1 day in standy and half a day with useage!
Yup, mine too. If I do not charge at the end of day, then its over! Every 6 to 8 hours of pure standby loosing 8% battery life! (per battery meter!!!).
If I use the phone to make 10 or more calls for some minutes then the battery is empty in about 5-6 hours! That's a fact!
And I do not use any 3G or wifi! Only bluetooth, with a headset!
If I turn on gps and use tomtom i.e., battery empty in 5 hours for sure!
And I have several (!) SE Original batteries that all give the same result! Same goes for the 1800 Mugen Battery, tried 3 different ones...same result.
About the heat, it is getting very warm to hot under continued usage (but I am also in Florida...90 degrees fahrenheit or some 30 Celsius. SubTropics!!!
And all these results come from not even having ANY panels, slideview or SPB installed and running AT ALL. Only the bare cab files along with tomtom, gps trainer and some other programs that do NOT run in the background or use any juice if not in use!
The battery life sucks big time! So just have your charger with you at all times... including the car charger and a spare, fully loaded battery and all is well...........!

[Q] custom roms and battery usage

hej there.
i wanted to know which custom rom for htc tattoo has the longest batterylife.
i use SPQRom 0.7 and its holding one day(about 18-20hours),but im playing alot and my wifi is min 3 hours on.if i wouldnt do that i thnik it would hold for sure 2 days.
how long holds your battery, which rom do you have and do you use some program for it(like advanced task killer)?
Hmm, my phone is pretty much constantly charging from usb since I'm working on my roms all the time. But on my latest gingerbread rom, just now, I'm still at 100% after 8 hours. Pretty much just been in standby in this time.
Battery use:
Cell standby: 49%
Phone idle: 48%
Wi-Fi: 2%
Display: 3%
oh realy?thats very good.
which rom is it
1.KalimGingerAz 10.8 Gingerbread 2.3.2
or
2.nFinityGB v0.6 - Gingerbread 2.3.2
??
nFinityGB, obviously.
My stock ROM also show 100% for 6-8 hr after that direct show 94-95% than after 10 min show 89-90%
what is this going on
EDIT 1 my sister have htc p3400i (WM 6) 2year old when it charging it show 100% in an hour but if i use it it works only for 5-6 hrs if i charge it for 3-4 hrs it work for 1.5-2 days
is my software going corrupted how i can correct it ?
I think this is normal. The drop from 100% to 90% will always be faster than a drop from 90% to 80%. It has to do with they way the battery is charged. Although it says 100%, it's not really charged to 100% because of safety routines in the charging code preventing damage to the battery. Or so I read somewhere.
