I just got my 8125 setup last night. Installed sumiters rom, installed a buncha apps. I copied some mp3s to my sd card and attempted to play them today using my headphones that came with it and its not working. I am using media player. The headphones work for calls and such so I am not sure whats wrong. The phone is on vibrate, but that shouldnt matter right.
i have the same problem sorta
my9100 started out fine then after a couple days the volume dropped 50% in the headphones and now after a few weeks its almost at 0 ,i can still detect some noise when i put my earphones on.
i checked for bad connections but everything seems ok
hmm weird i just installed core media pocket player and now everything seems fine with my earphones....
also works in wmp now ..

All,
As of yesterday I have lost sound out of the headphone port of the Treo Pro. Last afternoon I started windows media player and no sound came out of it. However, after about 2-3 minutes it suddenly started all of a sudden.
In the evening I went to play music again and no go. From then on I couldn't play music through the headphones and I've tried many headsets. It plays fine through the speakerphone as soon as I unplug the headphones but when i plug it in.. no sound
I hard resetted the device and that didn't have any effect either.
Any suggestions anyone?

I am having the same issue on my P6800 (Sprint Mogul)
So the bluetooth ROM leak issue is definitely fixed. I can reboot the phone and it is still paired with my car, and I am able to make & receive calls perfectly.
However, when I try to play music or podcasts via the bluetooth speakers, absolutely nothing is heard. The music app/podcast player (BeyondPod) both show that they are playing, but nothing is heard. When I turn bluetooth off, both apps play their respective files perfectly through the phone speaker.
Whats REALLY weird is that when trying to play through bluetooth, they both are playing super fast i.e. for every second that passes in reality, the player says that it has played about 4 seconds (almost like its in fast forward).
Although its great that bluetooth can now pair perfectly and stay paired, Im now completely unable to play any media.
Would like to know if anyone else is experiencing this and/or has any ideas.
This is the ONLY issue I now have with the Hero and Im determined to get it sorted...
Thanks for all the help/comments

I have two CDMA Heros in my household, one rooted and one not. The unrooted phone went through the OTA update without problem and it played music over bluetooth speakers without any problem, just as it did before the OTA update.
I think it's an app setting of some sort. Some apps allow you to turn BT audio on and off. Try another app, like ACast or something.

Fresh ROM Bluetooth Issue Confirmed - Prevents Media Being played throgh B/T Speakers
OK, so Ive just confirmed that the Fresh 0.4 ROM has an issue with playing media through bluetooth speakers, and Sprint/HTC are 100% NOT responsible for it.
Originally, I restored back to my original Sprint ROM, updated to Fresh 0.4, and all worked perfectly; except for the fact that I was unable to play any media whatsoever through bluetooth speakers (making and receiving phone calls worked fine and all bluetooth ROM leak issues were fixed). What was weird was that the music app and podcast app i was using (BeyondPod) showed that they were playing, but they looked as if they were playing in fast forward i.e. for every second that past, 4 seconds of the song/podcast were played according to the app. NB: The phone and the speakers showed that the link was established perfectly (for whatever thats worth)
I then decided to go back to when I first got the Hero i.e. use the Sprint RUU to unroot and got back to original ROM. Then did the OTA MR.
Playing media through the speakers worked 100% perfectly.
So bottom line, something has been changed/removed in the Fresh ROM that messes up media via bluetooth.
I havent come across anyone else talking about this, but any additional info would be great.
All the best.
I have done a fresh clean (started with Sprint RUU) to a fresh 0.4 update (not from modaco) and i also have this issue. I also tried the above check and i got the same results. Please if you have this issue, contact the makers of fresh rom and let them know of the issue if they do not already know.
Hi im having issues with music playback on my SGS. its running 2.3.4 and is CW Rooted. my phone was working fine until my power button got sticky and would not work. so i sent the phone away and it came back fixed with factory Droid 2.2 a week or so later. i took it home and updated rom to same one above and rooted it.
it was not until i put my music on it and started playing through my stock SGS head phones that i noticed that the sound was faint and kinda muddy. like the sound you get when the audio jack is not plugged in.
i checked the plug and its very firm and makes a click. i rebooted phone, checked setting of the music player and its all fine. i tried winamp app to see if it was an issue with app and playback is the same. i even went into the service mode and changed diamond settings. playback is muddy and its driving me nuts. i have a Galaxy Tab i have same songs and used the same phones and playback is fine. matched the setting in the music player and its fine? i have looked at forums for the last 2 hours
so im kinda out of ideas the only 2 things i can think of is that the Easy Phone Tunes program i synced my phone with has somehow messed the songs up or maybe 3.5mm imput jack is faulty? has anyone had the same issue? or have any ideas what it could be? and if its the jack is there a way to clean the jack and test before i take it back to get it sent away?
Okay, so yesterday I received my JBL t150 earphones for my #OnePlus2 and the sound quality is incredible. But I am facing one issue. The button on the mic is not functioning properly. Like I inserted it for first time it couldn't play/pause music or take calls. I used it on other device it worked fine then again tried on mine it then started working(not on play music tho) then I sync my accnt on play music and the play pause feature started working fine(even in mx player and es media player). But after i plug it out and then plug in again the button play pause feature doesn't work. Then I try it few time, still doesn't work. Then I restart my device and use it again it worked fine but again I unplugged them and plugged in again and again the play pause feature doesn't work. Sometimes even after restart it doesn't work until after few minutes. So i think it's either compatibility issues or something with the OS? Because earphones work fine in my sis LG device. (korean model) . Guys, please help.
I have a Logitech ue600vi and buttons don't work neither
I wish to know a solution too!
Bro me also facing the same issue with JBL earphone and Samsung too. What Is the solution.??
2 days ago sprint pushed an update for the note 10+ and for some reason it messed up my speaker when playing apps (games, music, etc...). The sound comes out of the top of the phone for some reason and it's VERY soft. You almost can't hear it unless you put your ear up to the phone. While on a phone call, the speaker seems to work just fine, it's just when playing media that the speaker doesn't work. The headphones seem to work just fine but the speaker does not. Has anyone else encountered this problem?
Well, Nevermind, lol. All of a sudden my phone just restarted by itself and the sound works perfectly now. Very odd because for the last 2 days it hasn't worked properly.
It's weird. I had an issue with my daughter's S9+ after an update, speakers were being intermittent and crackling. Eventually did a full reset but the issues remained.
After a great deal of research and messing around, a Spotify playlist on the SD card was to blame. Took out SD card everything worked fine.
Turns out the problem is an app called BIGO. When I use it, it plays the sound out of the top speaker as though I'm on a phone call. I have to force stop the app to get things back to normal. I have let the developers know but haven't heard anything back from them.l
