Can anyone help? I have a good BT connection to the car, and I can see the HANDSFREE BT profile from my QTEK9000 (WM5) using the o2 mini new bluetooth stack (AKA bluetooth stock) I downloaded from your forum.
The Prius instructions say to
1. Touch "Transfer data" to display "Select group" screen.
2. Select the group to transfer data to.
3. Touch "Overwrite" or "Add to".
4. Transfer the phonebook data to the system using the Bluetooth phone.
Screen in car shows "Under transfer".
Instructions do NOT say what file to send. I have tried BT beaming "pim.vol" to the HANDSFREE profile, but after about 5 minutes, the car says "Data transfer failed", although the phone says the file was sent.
Any ideas please?
Mate I don't think you will be able to do so, I couldn't transfer anything from my blue angel to my T-Spirit. I had to use my wife's Nokia to tranfer my phone book. Good luck.

I tried this today on my K-Jam with my Parrot 3100. The only thing it gave me is my battery and signal strenght on the Parrot screen. Is there anything else?
Dead Bluetooth Button
I installed this software, and immediately, the "send" button on my bluetooth headset stopped working (it would accept a call, but won't kick off Voice Command anymore).
Anyone have an idea of what registry setting I can make to repair this?

I see my provider too.
Also works well on my K-Jam & Parrot CK3300 in that it gives signal strength etc.
Has anyone who is using a Parrot CK3*** been able to get their wizard to connect automatically to the Parrot.
Either I have to connect manually or wait to make or receive a call before it connects & gives me the connected display with signal etc?

If someone install CK3x00 on Car, normaly this person test with any phone, and not with your phone.
BT headset can show the Caller ID Name
I tried this BT extension on my Universal and a Bluetooth Headset SE HBH-662 that has a Caller ID screen. With this BT extension, now the BT headset can show the Caller ID Name IF the contact name and number exists in the SIM card.
However, it will not show any caller name if the contact only exists in Outlook Contacts.
My test also shows, the number stored in the SIM card has to be exactly the same with one sent over by the operator, otherwise it will not show the caller name. Ex. if the operator sends over the caller number as 171xxxxxx and the number stored in the SIM is 71xxxxxxxx then it will not work. Same thing if the number stored in the SIM is +171xxxxxxx and the operator sends the number 1713xxxxxx then it wil not work as well.
I kind of like to use the format +171xxxxxxxx as this is the international format.
Anyway, this is great, as most people have been waiting for this function to work out of their caller ID BT headset. Now, if we can find out how to make it work to access the Outlook Contact, then its perfect...
Hello everybody,
I just would like to hear some (technical) comments regarding making stereo bluetooth headset usage more convenient with a device like the HTC Universal.
My current situation is as follows:
The stereo bluetooth headset that I am using is http://www.itechdynamic.com/en/products_spec.asp?cid=2&pid=02040
The inconvenient problem I am encountering is the cumbersome method of going into "wireless-stereo/hands-free/headset" mode immediately after switching ON my headset.
The pairing between the device and the headset was not an issue, however one would think that once paired - there would be no need to go into the "Partnership Settings" again, and again, and again, etc...
So assuming that the Universal device has Bluetooth ALWAYS active, I switch ON my headset and the only think that works is the Multi-Function-Button on the headset that triggers the voice dialer / voice commander. Once the phone dialer is running I conveniently go into hands-free mode. This is fine and all, but quite useless when I am not using the phone dialer.
I mean, after switching ON the headset, and then I start to play an audio file - the headset should be the point of audio output, not Universal's speakers. This does not happen after switching ON the headset. To make this happen, I must do the follwing:
1. Switch ON the headset
2. On the Universal Device, go to Comm Manager and select the Settings tab
3. Choose Bluetooth Settings...
4. Select the Devices tab
5. Select the defined Partnership between the headset and the Universal device, in my case this selection is "i.Tech Clip S"
6. Under the "Select services to use from this device" we have:
a.) Hands Free
b.) Wireless Stereo
c.) Headset
All three are selected but in reality are not working (not yet anyway..)
7. Clicking the REFRESH button causes the services selected in point 6 above to change. Clicking the REFRESH button causes the Hands Free and Wireless Stereo services to be de-selected while the Headset service to remain selected.
8. Select the Hands Free and Wireless Stereo services and click on the Save button.
9. Now all is well!
So, the problem obviously is in point 6 where what the Universal device says is not actually what is reflected in reality.
But in order to work around the problem, I must do points 7 and 8. Since I wish to make an app that does the things mentioned in points 7 and 8 - I need to know what the REFRESH button actually does.
All I know so far is that the REFRESH button does not just elicit values from the registry. It does something that results in the registry values being written. This is where I would really appreciate your comments.
qtek 9000 MS voice commander 1.6 handsfree voiceenable !

Hi all !
Anybody were able to transfer files via BT between PC and TyTn ?
I cannot....
Help, please.
i'm no problem to do that....
try to check the beam option ON and make sure that BT in ON and visible...
try with this...
cheers
Bubu
BT doesnt neet to be visible except you didnt pair the device once. So after paring the device you can make the TyTN hidden and you are able to send files trough OBEX. Worked well since i am transfer some files

My laptop and Hermes are both paired and can do ActiveSynch via BT. But when i try from PC explorer "Send To -> Bluetooth" it does not work.
It says "File transfer service is not found on the device.". After i turned on "Receave all beams" it did work fine. I thought that this is for infrared only.
Am i correct here ?
you need to have this activated, otherwise you arent able to receive bt obex files. Its both BT and IR.
So i once paired my phone with my car stereo handsfree, but since it was a $100 stereo, the handsfree didn't work correctly. So i don't want to use it anymore. But the stupid stereo have no way to turn off bluetooth.
I tried deleting the stereo from paired devices, and set my phone bluetooth to "hidden" - but that stupid stereo still finds me, and a message about "bla bla wants to connect" pops up everytime i get into my car.
I also tried disconneting power from my stereo, and use the reset switch on it, which reset all settings on it - but IT STILL FINDS MY PHONE!
Anyone have any suggestions on what to do? At the end of the day, i have like 10 notifications on my phone i have to go through and click "No" on...
On the Wizard did you ...?
1) Push the Comm mgr tab
2) Click on settings
3) BlueTooth Settings
4) Mode: UN-check the box "Make this device discoverable to other devices"
5) click OK.
If you didn't do that, try it.
Then go to B/T settings again and pick devices, and remove the device giving you trouble.
That SHOULD do it.
as mentioned i have already made it undiscoverable for other devices. But it still tries to connect to me...
I just got off the phone with HTC *support*. I listen to music on my phone a LOT. I have a BT8040 headset for when I am on the road, and on every other PPC I have had the BT stereo audio service runs at the start of the phone. I just hit play and poof, I have music.
Not so with the Imagio. According to HTC, the ROM is configured so that the hands free profile starts, but the stereo audio profile doesn't. You manually need to drill down through Start-->Settings-->All Settings, tap the bluetooth icon, hit the second tab, and tap Stereo Audio to start it up.
This just plain SUCKS.
When the PPC first starts, right before it loads TF3D, for a brief second I see the icon indicating the Stereo Audio profile has started, then it switches quickly back to the hands free profile icon.
Now then, using Memmaid, I see that the BTAGSVC (Bluetooth Audio Gateway) is there and set to automatic, and I also see that the dll referenced is on the Windows directory (btagsvc.dll). However, when trying to start the service it tells me that the system cannot find the file specified. I am sure it is something that HTC has placed to prevent it.
A search for "btagsvc" brings up hklm\services\BTAGSVC and a few hklm\software\microsoft\bluetooth\services entires that are numbered with big long stings that my old hands can't type due to the cold.
Here are my questions:
When I tap "Stereo Audio" in the location above, what does it do? Start an EXE and execute a command line? Can a shortcut be made to that command line or whatever and put in startup? Can the service be added to startup by getting around how ever HTC has prevented it from starting? A registry edit?
Can we find what HTC has done to prevent it from starting and running?
Any help is appreciated, I have hit the limit of my knowlege.
Quicker Drilldown
If you tap the top bar, it gives you a menu page with a bluetooth selection that takes you to where you connect to your device. It's not great, but quicker than going through start->settings, etc.
I noticed the same thing. But it's not consistent for all BT devices thankfully... my Motorola T505 connects perfectly.
I too have noticed that the BT does not work as seemlessly as it should. I leave BT on all the time and when I turn on my motorola HD headset it connects fairly quickly and works fine. If I do a soft reset, then I need to re-establish the connection.
Has anyone had issues with not being able to turn on the blue tooth service on the device? I currently am having that problem. Worked in the beginning but somewhere between then and now... it no longer will turn on... and reports that it can not be. I have looked high and low to try to figure out how BT has been disabled on this device and can find no references at all.
