Is it possible to play music through a bluetooth headset? Not a stereo headset, just a normal, mono headset.
If so, does it automatically pause the music when you get a call?
yes you can using the bt audio software on http://www.htcwizardweb.net/system/files?file=btaudio.zip
download it unzip it and copy the folder to your storage card or your pda and enable or disable it at your convinience. hope i was helpfull
I tried that BT Audio app with the 750, and it doesn't work. I also tried every media player I could find...still nothing.
Has anyone had success with this theory working? I need it in a BAD way.
Here is a .cab file that does what you want it to do.
First activate your Bluetooth unit. Then stream your music or whatever. Then turn on the software. It works quite well.
Enjoy !!!
What I do for my 8125 is activate the BT toggling program and then Mortplayer. I tie the two programs together using MortScript and then activate a playlist through voice command by creating a shortcut into the Programs file.
usng bt headset with htc wizard with fafio crossbow
yes it is capable to do this i have wizard htc running clocking at 286 speed, tomtom mobile 5, with the jabra 2020 bluetooth earpiece all works great gps every single thing to do with sound comes through ear piece even key tapping try this program called btnav you can download it then allocate one of the the buttons to activate it as i do. my normal day using gps system intails switching on earpiece then wizard, pushing allocated button my earpiece beeps then start tomtom all works great then when at work i can listen to audio tracks aswell great little toy hope this helps

BEAUTIFUL THING
Bluetooth Audio
I've downloaded the bluetooth audio to my Samsung Blackjack II and installed it. I have tried several combinations of steps to get the music to play through my headset but I cant get it to work. Do you have any suggestions for me? Is there a specific bluetooth headset I need to get? Or did I just mess something up?
Hey thanks alot for this cab because I've been looking for this cab all over and finally you had the solution to my problem.....
I just installed that cab file and while it seems to function correctly by sending music to the earpiece on the phone, it does not send it to the BT device. The BT device acknowledges when the program is turned on and when it is turned off, but no sound is coming out.
I'm using a Blackjack2 and an Isymphony BT headset/speaker which is not stereo.
I just want to be able to hear my phone on my BT headset/speaker.
Is there some setting I'm missing? Does this program not work? Why for some and not others? Where can I find documentation? Who made that program?
Well, I dont know why you blackjack people are here(this being the Wizard forum and all!), but what I used to use on my Excalibur is the little shareware program called:BTAUDIO(link at bottom of post)
Its shareware in the fact that it only works for 30 minutes at a time, but it does indeed send ALL audio that the phone emits to your bluetooth headset.
Instructions:
1-Install BTAUDIO .cab to your phone
2-Activate your bluetooth headset, and put it in "find" mode
3-Goto your phones comm manager and turn Blueooth on
4-Now pair your headset with your phone
5-Start BTAUDIO
6-Follow the instructions on the screen and BAM, you are done!
I hope that helps!
DOWNLOAD LINK FOR BTAUDIO=

Thanks for the reply.
I gave this program a try and it didn't seem to work either. I'm guessing it's a BlackJack problem. That download appeared to be pretty much the same thing as the other link to the "BTaudio" program by Triangle but is limited to 30 minutes, like you said. The first link was not limited to 30 minutes. (so you might want to check that one out)
As for why the Blackjack guys are coming here I'm guessing it's the same reason I found this place. A Google search.
The Blackjack forums don't seem to have any solution other than... "go spend another $75 on a new set of headphones"
Myself, I want to use a BT mono speaker for listening to mono recordings and don't really want a stereo headset.
Thanks for all your help!
THANX for the CAB file
REaly thank you for the cab file works gr8.......................................
Thanks...
This one is very nice. I can't speak for others, but here is what I've learned in a short time....
My personalized ring tones are now coming through the BT, along with the called annoucement. Sorta disorienting, but I like it. I bet if I disable call annoucements, this will fix it. I'll look around..... Thanks for this tweak....
I love it!
thanks

hi, finally there is software to enable the audio out from ms stack to bluetooth headset. but i tried on xdaii wm5 still cannot. can anybody especially buzz fix this? Get the software from below link.
http://www.beyondthetech.com/blogs/kjam/
audio out to headset
BTAudio Utilities
These utilities will allow you to turn on/off the redirection of all system audio audio to your Bluetooth Headset.
This requires NO other hacks or modifications to your i730.
The attached ZIP file contains 3 files:
BTAudioOn.exe
BTAudioOff.exe
BTAudioToggle.exe
DONATIONS
If you find these programs useful and would like to send me money, you can donate via PayPal here.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Unzip and place these files on your i730.
- To redirect all sound to your BT headset, run BTAudioOn.exe
- To stop redirecting sound, run BTAudioOff.exe.
- To toggle the redirection on and off, run BTAudioToggle.exe.
- The effects are immediate and the program will not display anything unless there is an error.
NOTES:
BTAudioToggle.exe does not authoritatively know what the current state of audio redirection is, it simply turns the redirection on or off, alternating each time it is run. It uses a temp file, \BTAudio.tmp, to track whether it should next turn on or off. Thanks to johntchow for the icon.
The /v command-line argument will display a sucess message. Failure messages are always shown. Also, if you know how to set up a shortcut, you technically don't need both .exe's. You can run BTAudioOn.exe with the /off argument and it will do the same thing as BTAudioOff. But since each file is less than 4k, which I think is the block size for the RAM file system, it would not actually save any space so what's the point.
This was made possible mostly due to the information at http://blogs.msdn.com/cenet/archive.../12/451012.aspx
Note; Buzz or any expert out there. Please make this utility work with xdaii wm2005c. Please.....Buzz?

Hey,
I've tryed the BTAudiotoggle.exe on my Xda Exec what happens is this:
It launches the voice command if I tap the screen the sound goes through the bluetooth headset but the it return back to the PDA.
Is the anyway that I can get the Audio going through the headset for as long that I need it then when I do not need it I can switch it manually back to the PDA.
Please can someone help me because I would like to try the Tom Tom Navigator 5 and see if I can get the sound through the bluetooth car kit which is a Parrot 3300.
Thank you.

I've managed to do it by using the information that can be found at http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=33756. If you set the registry value then the files work a treat (but are a bit redundant because you can switch the audio to/from headset using the button on it).

Hi Guys!
Uuupppsss ....
unfortunately the download of the ZIP file is still not working. could anyone of the honourable sirs share it with me?
Thanks in advance.
anyone got this working on the tytn
I use it with a Jabra BT250...
it used to work with my plantronics 320 on the wizard but wont work on the tytn is there any special settings you had to do
I also tried to make it works and it doesn't I assume that is due to the different headset plug.
Waiting for a version for TYTN
the prog will open a connection to the earpiece i can hear the static just wont forward any of the audio to it. works with the phone of course for making calls
I have the same problem with my Tytn (BTaudio seems to work because it stops the radio - I use it with a parrot car kit) but the audio still goes through the phone speaker...
did you find a solution?
gb
BTAudio On does not work, you have to turn it on via button press on the headset. BT Off works fine of course...
Rather annoying, but that's the way it is...
Sorry but I am afraid not to understand... the bt car kit is working properly and is paired to the qtek
could you please be more specific?
thks!
Sorry, you stepped into a rather cryptic response... I assumed you were talking about the file BTAudioOn.exe that worked on the 8125 but not the 8525/TYTN.
Search this forum for mono audio - there's a big thread. Also check the wiki.
attached. This cabs works great. To activate it, start playin music, then push and hold the button on your BT headset for about 1 second, it should beep and then music comes through. Only problem is you can't use MS VC through your headset, but it doesn't break VC.
BTaudio cab works
I have used the Gotland cab file and still had problems, until I began to think like a technician... Once I installed the cab file, I performed a soft reset and then repaired my Jabra JX10... It has been working fine ever since... I can hear music (either streaming or static) and voice... I have not tried tackling the voice commander problem though...
I have just upgraded the firmware on my headset using the software that is not posted on Jabra's site, but through a link in another post, I was able to do it... had to reinstall the Gotland cab again though.... May tackle Voice Commander later in the day... Who knows...
I'm using Bluemusic 2.0 and it worked with music to BT headset. Also using installed the BT VC fix cab in this forum at it worked fine with VC 1.6 - except incoming anouncements. ( Installation Hint: after installed both - you must delete existing device and then re-pairing the BT again).
I just made a thread, here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=306363
Hi all !
Is it possible to send all sounds to the BT headset ? Not to the stereo BT headset, but to the normal one. It was easily possible with my old Universal.
Can anybody help ?
Thanx in advance,
Best regards.
BT Audio
I use a small program on my 8125 that sends ALL sounds to my h700. I can watch movies and listen to my mp3s wtihout having to plug in a corded ear piece.
Please see attched. It claims to work on most BT situations. Just unzip and copy the cab to your device. Run the cab from a file manager in your device and woila. It should appear in your programs.

Thank you. I've installed the program, it switches on the headset (i can hear a double "beep") but all sounds are still going through the Hermes internal speakers.... Strange...
Sorry it did not work.
I had the same problem too at first because I forgot to turn on my BT headset first.
Here is the information on the software I have been talking about.
Maybe you can get in touch with the author.
I wish you luck in finding a solution.

Did you give a try to BTAudio (see above)??
I have a Dopod838 Pro - and I am trying to get all sounds to my BT headset.
When I have skype open and I press the "connect" button on my BT headset, VoiceCommander opens and all the sounds are sent to my BT headset; but only for 1 minute (until VoiceCommander shutsdown because he didn't recognize anything).
I have tried btaudio.cab provided in this thread, but it doesn't work. I have tried VJvobullis and many other apps that didn't work.

I've got an Orange M3100 (also called HTC Hermes I think) and trying to use it with a BlueTrek G2 (a couple of yesrs old) to listen to music but also primarily for Skype.
I have tried all options on this link

but none work. I get static in the headset when I use any of the applications mentioned on the above page but no sound is transferred from Skype (or Windows Media player).

I tried this application on my 8525 and it did work, it took a long time to load though. One thing they do not mention is that it disables the voice dial on the BT headset. That doesn't work for me so I uninstalled it. That took even longer, about an hour of processing before it was done uninstalling itself.
There is a .cab file available elsewhere in this forum that does the same thing and someone came up with a way to toggle that on and off, sounds like a better solution than what this does.

Thanks a lot for this, I just put it on my WM6.5 TP2 and it works like a champ.
I found this file a couple of days ago in another forum under xda-developers.com. I can't remember exactly which one so I'm posting the file here for anyone that needs it because I can't find the link I downloaded it from.
There are three files in the btaudio.zip archive. BTAudioOff.exe, BTAudioOn.exe and BTAudioToggle.exe. If I read correctly BTAudioToggle.exe works as a stand alone file. Just save it anywhere, create a shortcut or map a button to it and you're done. It'll basically toggle the BTAudio on or off. Pretty simple. The other two files are self explanatory, one turns on the feature and one turns it off. I tested it today while watching a movie on my XDA. Works pretty nicely and I've found no bugs yet.
This works perfectly with my Jawbone. Yes, it will probably drain the battery on the headset but I only use it in temporary circumstances.
Hope this is useful to someone else.
the hp ipaq 6965 which i had before the x7500 had this feature built in, i'm wondering if windows mobile 6 will have it as well,
also, i tried this program and once you tap the answer button on your headset the audio goes back to the phone
Thanks for the heads up. I'll know to toggle it back on or turn it down.
it doesn't work when there is a call ..I mean it auto switch off and then no sound from BT..this app has been around for an year but practically no use..

Hi,
you can use btIO for the same. It's a tray app so there is no need of shortcuts for on/off/toggle.

Perfect for my needs - just received a set of Sony DR-BT30Q Stereo headphones from ebay and they work perfectly with this.

I only have one problem though, whilst I can activate audio2bt successfully and I can hear music via my ordinary BT earpiece, it also automatically invokes my voice calling software thus switching the audio2bt immediately off.
Any ideas how to overcome this?

Well, if you don't use the built-in voicespeeddial then it's pretty easy.
Just set: HKLM\software\oem\voicecommand\launchappenable to 0
MS-VoiceCommand will still work after this reg-change.
If you do use the built-in app then I have no idea.

AudioGWCC is the Switch for the Audio Gateway Control Channel. I've put it in because of some headsets required to explicitly establish the control channel first (from what I've seen). The behaviour you described is normal. The device closes the control channel after a call is finished. I don't know if there is a way to deactivate or to circumvent it.

oh men, this is really one of the most important tools what you can download and install it on the Ameo.

And it's freeware too. absolut perfect.
Gentlemen,
I am sorry to bother with the same topic, looks like all are happy with BtIO and similar utilites...
I have a problem that drives me crazy...
I am listen to audio books (using Mortplayer) a lot, the problem with incoming calls:
1. Switch audio to headset, sound plays in headset. Perfect.
2. Incoming call:
.........Device is switching sound to a loudspeaker
.........I hear 0.5 sec of loud sound comming from a device
.........Audio playback is paused
.........Ringtone plays from loudspeaker
3. I pick up the call using headset button
.........Audio switched back to headset
.........I can hear some ringtone sound for 0.5 sec
.........Phone conversation
4. I hung up using Phone button or headset button or another party hung ups
.........Audio playback resumed
.........Audio switched to loudspeaker
5. I have to act quickly to switch audio back to headset by pressing button. This is very annoying
I tried utilities:
acbToggleBT-0.8.cab
BTAudio_PPC.ARMV4.CAB
btaudiocf1.cab
btaudiotoday.cab
btIO-0.5.CAB
bluemusic 2.0.[desktop].exe
BlueMusic looks the best, still it can't detect the scenario (5)...
Looks like I am missing something... This problem looks a very basic for me and I believe should be already solved...
Please help!
Also, I don't see a practical value of utilities above... I can svitch Audio to BT and back just by clicking the button on a headset. (I desabled the Voice comander)
Regards,
Dimitriy
I haven't found a program fix that will resolve the issue yet. I love the utility and use it knowing what to expect. Doesn't make it useless, just isn't 100% perfect for some users. For me it works perfectly. I'd rather it have one bug than it not work at all. Maybe one day they will update the program but for now it's great for my use. I just take an extra moment to pause manually what I was listening to when a call comes in or while i'm on the call so this doesn't happen to me. Especially if I'm at a client site.

I see your point. Can you explaine what exactly problem it is solving for you?
I can switch audo to BT and back by just clicking Send button on the headset. So what is the use of the utility?
hello poor guy me is the same i have tested all audio to bluetooth software and nothing work i have try the reshack on this site to put stereo to mono and nothing work i am disapointed the only solution i have is buy a stereo one because on the samsung i320 you have an option to use that kind of hardware.
if any person have a solution it was great
(sorry for my english)
With my headset (www.jawbone.com) if i click the button it activates audio to bt temporarily. It'll activate MS Voice Command then turn off. there are registry hacks that allow this to work differently but I prefer a utility to control it through. I havent been able to get audio to bt like many other users. I can watch movies, listen to my Corelayer, audiobooks, voicemail though email, etc in private. My device, HTC Advantage/x7500 can't do this by default. Maybe your headset allows these featured while mine doesn't. My headset is not meant to be used as an always on audio device so I need these utilities.

Well, I am using the LG HBM-700, it has a numerical keypad and OLED display, so it is very handy with X7500 - I can keep X7500 in a bag while using it as a phone.

I tested several BT hansets and all alows to switch audio to BT and back with the Snd button. You need to disable Voice Commander:
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceCommand\LaunchAPEnable" set to 0
What I can't blieve, that so basic problem is not solved. People on XDA using WM devices for years... Using BT for music and phone functions is a basics...
Any ideas?
Hello, I have bought a Jabra BT3010. If I used it for a call, it is great. But if I want to use it for listening to the music, I can't. A was tring set it as Wireless stereo, but this funcion is "gray". Is there any way to use it for listening to the music?
PS: I'm sorry, if this problem was discuss somewhere here, but I did not find anything...
I think, I have found what I need. It si BlueTooth Audio v1.0. I have just download it and it works great, but I don't try, what happed if someone call me.
you mean you want to listen to your music playing through your bluetooth right?
I belive what you need is this just install it to your device
Windows
Start Menu
Programs
I can't upload it here
E-mail me if you need it thou.
Ok, I have tried BlueTooth Audio v1.0 and also I made script (with MortScript), that I mapped on left softkey. So allways I want to listen the music, I run Audio Manager and than run the script. That script turn off my screen, run BlueTooth Audio v1.0 and then lock the keyboard, so I can continue listening on Bluetooth handset. If some call me, I can answer like normal, but after the call I have to lunch the script again.
Are anyone know about any similliar program?
Should have gotten the Jabra BT 8040 -- it supports the stereo profile and works great on the Kaiser without additional software (WM6.1 or newer)
